Si Racha

Si Racha (Thai: ศรีราชา, pronounced [sǐː rāː.t͡ɕʰāː]) is a district in Chonburi province, Thailand. Its center is the town of Si Racha, on the Gulf of Thailand, about halfway between Chonburi and Pattaya. The name Si Racha is from Sanskrit Śrī Rāja via Pali. Si Racha is in an industrial zone consisting of manufacturing and shipping industries, supported by the port of Laem Chabang, 20th largest in the world. With Chonburi to the north and Pattaya, Bang Lamung township, Laem Chabang to the south, it forms the bulk of the economic zone of the eastern seaboard of Thailand, a fast-growing area that is second to only greater Bangkok in population and wealth. Due to its infrastructure, Laem Chabang and the eastern seaboard in general, is the nation's leading entrepôt.As of 2019 the population of the district was 323,797.Around the 1930s, Si Racha sea was known as a shark-infested area. They used to attack humans such as villagers, fishermen, and even a German tourist.

Si Racha Municipal Stadium (Thai: สนามกีฬาเทศบาลเมืองศรีราชา) is a multi-purpose stadium in Si Racha, Chonburi, Thailand. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 5,000 people.

Assumption College Sriracha (ACS) is a private, Catholic-run school on the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand, in Si Racha District, Chonburi Province. The campus covers 120 acres (0.49 km2), and has play spaces, football pitches, a swimming pool, and a sports stadium. Founded in 1944, it educates 4,200 children, mainly boys, from Kindergarten to Mathayom 6 (Grade 12). Former Thai prime ministers and other leading figures have been educated at Assumption colleges and universities.In 1994, the Ministry of Education certified ACS as an "Excellent Educational Institution", recognising the school's achievements in academic studies. Assumption College Sriracha runs several English-language programmes and employs native-speaking English teachers. ACS is one of 14 institutions run by the St. Gabriel Foundation in Thailand, which was established in 1944. During the Second World War, Assumption College in Bangkok was damaged by bombing. The school had to close temporarily, and in November 1942 the college moved to Sriracha to occupy a new, temporary, school. At the time, the location was a wild lemongrass and pineapple farm. After the war, Assumption College reopened in Bangkok, but hostels for students were damaged and so some pupils remained in Sriracha. The school is about 100 kilometres from Bangkok and close to the popular tourist resorts of Pattaya and Jomtien.

Princess Sirindhorn Stadium (Thai: สนามกีฬาสิรินธร or สนามกีฬาอัสสัมชัญศรีราชา) is a sports stadium in Si Racha, Chonburi Province, Thailand. Named after Princess Sirindhorn, Princess Royal of Thailand, the stadium currently used mostly for football matches. It is the former home stadium of Sriracha FC and before that of Chonburi FC. The stadium has a capacity of 8,000. It is located near the city centre, on the ground of the Assumption College Sriracha. As well as a football field, the stadium has a running track, a common feature of stadiums in Thailand. It is fitted with floodlights, enabling evening matches to be played.

Assumption College Sriracha Stadium (Thai: สนามกีฬาโรงเรียนอัสสัมชัญศรีราชา) is a multi-purpose stadium in Sriracha, Chonburi province, Thailand. The stadium is located on the territory of Assumption College Sriracha. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Sriracha FC.

Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial Hospital (Thai: โรงพยาบาลสมเด็จพระบรมราชเทวี ณ ศรีราชา) or Somdej Phra Boromma Ratchathewi Na Si Racha Hospital is a hospital located in Si Racha District, Chonburi Province, Thailand. It is a hospital operated by the Thai Red Cross Society. It has a CPIRD Medical Education Center which trains doctors of the Faculty of Medicine, Burapha University. It is an affiliated teaching hospital of the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University.

Si Racha Junction Railway Junction is a railway station located in Surasak Subdistrict, Si Racha District, Chon Buri. It is a class 3 railway station located 130.605 km (81.2 mi) from Bangkok railway station. It opened in July 1989 as part of the Chachoengsao Junction–Sattahip Port section. Later, the Laem Chabang Port Line, for freight trains only, opened in 1992, thus turning this station into a junction.

Thai-Japanese Association School Sriracha (泰日協会学校シラチャ校, Tai-hi Kyōkai Gakkō Shiracha-kō, or シラチャ日本人学校 Shiracha Nihonjin Gakkō; Thai: โรงเรียนสมาคมไทย-ญี่ปุ่น ศรีราชา, RTGS: Rong Rian Samakhom Thai Yipun Sriracha) is a Japanese international school in Si Racha, Chonburi, Thailand. It is affiliated with the Thai-Japanese Association School in Bangkok. The school began its operations in early 2009 with an enrollment of 89 students. Currently the School has approximately 456 students.

Bang Phra station (Thai: สถานีบางพระ) is a railway station located in Bang Phra Subdistrict, Si Racha District, Chonburi Province. It is a class 3 railway station located 121.31 km (75.4 mi) from Bangkok railway station.

Chaophraya Surasak (Thai: เทศบาลนครเจ้าพระยาสุรศักดิ์) is a city in Chonburi Province, Thailand. It was established as a sanitary district in 1967. In 1999, all sanitary districts were upgraded to subdistrict municipalities (thesaban tambon). In 2013 it was upgraded to a city municipality (thesaban nakhon). As of 2022, it has a population of 153,687. The city covers parts of five subdistricts (tambon) of Si Racha District, the ninth-largest urban city area in Thailand. The city is named after Chaophraya Surasakmontri.

The Sriracha Tiger Zoo was a zoo in Sri Racha, a city on the outskirts of Pattaya, a seaside city in Chonburi Province, Thailand. It was about 110 km (68 mi) from Bangkok. The zoo claimed a large population of tigers and crocodiles. Due to the economy's collapse in 2021 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sriracha Tiger Zoo had to close its doors.
