It a premier institute where chest diseases are treated with expertise from the best in the field. Of special importance attributed to the hospital is its treatment of tuberculosis which is a major cause of mortality and morbidity in the region. Specialised treatment of tuberculosis and its varied complications are dealt with medically and if be need surgically yet being very cost effective. It also functions as a chest injury and trauma care referral hospital. Undergraduate students in the MBBS and Respiratory therapy, course and post graduate students from the medicine, surgery and allied departments are posted on rotation basis for a definite period for gaining clinical and surgical experience in identifying, treating and following up pulmonary disease.

Bommanahalli (also known as Roopena Agrahara) is an upcoming elevated metro station on the north–south corridor of the Yellow Line of Namma Metro in Bangalore, India. Around this metro station holds the Bommanahalli Police Station and The Knowledge Academy, a Cooperate office in Bengaluru. As per latest reports, this metro station is stated to be operational post May 2024 due to the upcoming Indian general election which will occur during April–May 2024.

Old Madiwala Sri Someshwara Temple located in Bangalore city (also Bengaluru), Karnataka, India is dedicated to the deity Someshwara (the Hindu god Shiva). It is one among the oldest temples in the city and dates back to the Chola Empire period. The temple belongs to the early 12th century.(1247 AD). HSR Layout (Hosur-Sarjapur Road Layout) is a suburb of south-east Bangalore, India. It lies in the Bommanahalli constituency of State assembly. This locality was developed by Bangalore Development Authority in 1985. Now it has emerged into a leading residential area due to its proximity to IT Parks in Bangalore. It is also a gateway to Electronic City, a major IT hub of the city. HSR Layout has emerged as a posh locality of Bangalore with wide streets, parks and modern civic amenities. HSR Layout is divided into Sectors 1–7, which are crisscrossed into main and cross roads. Main roads run north–south and Cross roads run east–west. Some parts of the neighbouring towns such as Agara, Parangipalya, Venkatapura, Mangammanapalya and Hosapalya are also part of HSR Layout. It is designed based on modern town planning principles, the layout has a centralized BDA Complex, which houses the city administrative offices. It also has a number of small parks in various parts of the layout. Several educational institutions have also spring up in the area, such as JSS Public School (established in 2004), Oxford College (founded in 1974) and the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) along with Networkers Home.
