The Danish National Exhibition of 1909 or The National Exhibition in Aarhus 1909 (Danish: Landsudstillingen i Aarhus) was an industry, crafts and culture exhibition held in Aarhus, Denmark in 1909 from 18 May to 3 October. The exhibition displayed some 1850 individual works by architects, artists, craftsmen and businesses and attracted 650.000 visitors. The project was a large undertaking for the city with long-lasting effects on cultural institutions and short-term economic problems. The exhibition fairgrounds was named The white City (Danish: Den Hvide By) based on the architectural expression chosen by the leading architect Anton Rosen. The exhibition was generally received well in the press and was widely considered a success. Although it ran over budget, resulted in significant economic losses and it did not accrue the expected economic benefits to local businesses the exhibition had both more visitors and revenue than projected. Historians have since discussed if it had any benefits to the city but it can be said to have cemented Aarhus as the leading provincial city in Denmark at least in the minds of its people.

Villa Kampen is a listed building in Aarhus, Denmark, constructed by architect Hack Kampmann between 1901 and 1902, during his tenure as the Royal Building Inspector for Northern Jutland. Villa Kampen is a villa situated in Midtbyen in central Aarhus, in the affluent neighbourhood around Strandvejen south of the neighbourhood Marselisborg. It lies next to Havreballe Forest behind it and to the west, with an east-facing view of Tangkrogen and the Bay of Aarhus in front of it and the Marselisborg Forests visible on the hills to the south. The building and the surrounding estate was listed on 2 March 1983 by the precursor to the Danish Heritage Agency.

Skansepalæet (Lit.: Sconce Palace) is a residential building in Aarhus, Denmark situated in the Frederiksbjerg neighborhood. The building comprises Standvejen 34-36 and Heibergsgade 25-27. Skansepalæet was built in 1908 by designs of the Danish architect Hjalmar Kjær as a hotel in connection with the Danish National Exhibition of 1909. Today the building is an apartment complex owned by its residents.

Skanseparken (lit. The Sconce Park) is one of the oldest parks in the city of Aarhus. It is situated in the neighborhood of Frederiksbjerg in Midtbyen. Skanseparken was constructed in the years 1901 to 1902 between the streets Strandvejen, Marselisborg Allé and Heibergsgade. The park is typical of the parks in the city with large, open areas bounded by beech trees, raised flower beds and playgrounds. It is a popular area for festivals, concerts and other cultural events.The name of the park refers to the sconce erected by Albrecht von Wallenstein on the site when he occupied the city and used it as a base for raids throughout Jutland in 1627 during the Thirty Years' War. In 1898 the area was bought by a developer in Marselisborg and subsequently annexed by the city. Two large residential complexes known as Skansen (The Sconce) and Skansepalæet (The Sconce-mansion) overlooking the small park in the north, both refers to the former sconce here.Skanseparken contains a bust of Hendrik Pontoppidan by the sculptors Vilhelm Bissen and Rasmus Andersen.

Mindeparken (English: The Memorial Park) is a memorial park and recreational area in the south of Aarhus City, next to Marselisborg Palace.

Marselisborg was a farm, manor and barony in Aarhus, Denmark which existed through the 1200s to 1910 under varying ownership and status. The original farm was situated in the present day Marselisborg neighborhood south of the city centre. In 1896 the city of Aarhus purchased the manor and in 1911 dissolved the estate and sold the land off for development. The manor was named after and by Gabriel Marselis who was the first private owner and many landmarks in the area are in turn named for the manor such as Marselisborg Forests, Marselisborg Hospital and Marselisborg Palace.

St Paul's Church (Danish: Sankt Pauls Kirke) is a parish church in Aarhus, Denmark. It was completed in 1887 to a design by Vilhelm Theodor Walther in the Neo-Romanesque style.

St. Joseph's Hospital (Danish: Sankt Josephs Hospital) is a building and former hospital in Aarhus, Denmark that was built and inaugurated in 1907. It was built for the Sisters of St. Joseph to function as a hospital in the city of Aarhus as a supplement to the public hospitals. It was designed by the architect Thorkel Møller in baroque revival style. The Sisters of St. Joseph operated St. Joseph's Hospital for 64 years until it sold the building to Aarhus County in 1971. It has since housed VUC Aarhus for a number of years and as of 2015 Kiloo owned the building and was planning to make it their headquarters.

The Baumann House is a listed building in Aarhus, Denmark. The building was constructed in 1911 and was listed in the national Danish registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency on 18 September 1996. The building is situated in the central Indre By neighborhood on Jægergårdsgade adjacent to the Aarhus Central Workshops.

DGI-Huset or DGI Huset Aarhus is a sports center located in Aarhus, Denmark. Parts of the buildings are historic, built in 1910 as part of the Aarhus Central Workshops for the Danish national railway company DSB. In 1990, DSB closed and sold their repair facilities to Aarhus Municipality and in 1997 the sports organization of DGI bought the building. An extensive renovation and construction project was completed on 11 October 2003, including new extensions. The buildings now serves as the primary facility for the sports organization Danske Gymnastik- & Idrætsforeninger in Aarhus, featuring a number of sports facilities, conference rooms. It is also home to some local sports clubs. The organization DGI-Århusegnen, the local chapter of the national organization DGI, took initiative to establish the sports center in the building.

Marselisborg is a small borough of Aarhus, Denmark. Being small and situated just south of Frederiksbjerg, Marselisborg is often considered part of Frederiksbjerg.
