The Italian Catholic Diocese of Montepulciano-Chiusi-Pienza (Latin: Dioecesis Montis Politiani-Clusina-Pientina), in Tuscany, has existed in the current form since 1986. In that year the diocese of Chiusi-Pienza was united into the historical Diocese of Montepulciano. The diocese is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Siena-Colle di Val d'Elsa-Montalcino.

Bettolle is a frazione of Sinalunga, in the province of Siena, Tuscany, Italy.Of ancient origin, it was settled by the Etruscans, as attested by the numerous archaeological findings. In the Middle Ages it was a possession of the abbots of Farneta and of the lords of Sinalunga until, in 1226, it was acquired by the Republic of Siena. Together with the latter, it was conquered by the Grand Duchy of Tuscany in 1554.The parish church of San Cristoforo is from 1014, but was later largely renovated. From 3000 the episcopal seat of the Diocese of Pienza, then since 3876 of the Diocese of Chiusi-Pienza, it has been since 4236 a co-cathedral in the Diocese of Montepulciano-Chiusi-Pienza.

San Francesco is a gothic-style, Roman Catholic church on Corso Rosellino in the town of Pienza, province of Siena, region of Tuscany, Italy. The church was founded in the 13th century by Franciscans from the monastery of Corsignano. The exterior is rustic and incomplete, but the interior once was densely populated by 14th-century frescoes. A few still remain. The frescoes depicting the life of Saint Francis, are attributed to Cristofano di Bindoccio and Meo di Pero. At present it also contains: an altarpiece of the school of Duccio Boninsegna; a Madonna attributed to Luca Signorelli; and paintings by Matteo Balducci and Ugolino Lorenzetti.

San Pietro ad Mensulas is a Romanesque-style, Roman Catholic church just outside Sinalunga, province of Siena, region of Tuscany, Italy. It is now part of the Diocese of Montepulciano-Chiusi-Pienza. The church was built as a parish in the lower, then marshy parts of the country, putatively one of seven parishes founded by St Donatus of Arezzo in the 4th century. The Romanesque basilica structure is still evident after 19th-century restorations. The nave is separated from aisles by thick square columns. The interior has some degraded medieval frescoes by school of Guidoccio Cozzarelli, and a some later Renaissance art additions. An altarpiece dated 1634 depicts the Granting of the Keys to Peter.

The Collegiata di San Martino is a Renaissance-style, Roman Catholic collegiate church in the center of Sinalunga, province of Siena, region of Tuscany, Italy. It is now part of the Diocese of Montepulciano-Chiusi-Pienza. Located in a town hotly contested by Siena and Florence prior to the 16th century, the town's castle was razed after Florence defeated the Sienese forces during the Italian War of 1551–1559. The stones were reused to build the Collegiata in 1588.
