Marymount University

Birchwood is a log house reconstructed in 1936 using logs from an earlier structure built in about 1836. It is located in Arlington County, Virginia. The first log house on the site was an even earlier structure built by Caleb Birch in approximately 1810 that burned down.Richard Wallace, valet to Rear Admiral Presley M. Rixey, lived here, and received President Theodore Roosevelt as a visitor.The house is recognized by Arlington County as a historic site and has installed a historic marker at the house.

Yorktown's attendance area makes up the northern third of Arlington County.Yorktown is an accredited high school based on Virginia's Standards of Learning (SOL) examinations, and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The school was ranked among the top 100 schools in the nation by Newsweek in 2008.

Earle Micajah Winslow House is a historic home located at Arlington County, Virginia. It was built in 1940, and is a two-story, concrete block structure veneered in brick and covered in a smooth stucco finish that is painted white. It has a shallow-pitched, side-gabled roof. A square projecting bay has a flat roof and a curved bay is crowned by a conical roof and a shallow hipped roof. The house features smooth walls, flat and shallow-pitched roofs, bands of wrapping windows, rounded corners, and a complete lack of applied ornamentation in the Streamline Moderne style.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

Mount Olivet United Methodist Church is a Methodist church located in Arlington County, Virginia and occupies the oldest church site in continuous use in the county. The church and its cemetery are located at the southwest corner of Glebe Road and 16th Street North.

The Saegmuller House is a historic home located in Arlington, Virginia. It was built between 1925 and 1927, and is 2+1⁄2-story, stuccoed frame central-hall plan dwelling with Prairie School influences. It sits on a concrete block foundation and has a pyramidal roof. It features an original front porch with large piers and columns and a prominent central gable and deep overhanging eaves. The house was once associated with the Saegmuller dairy farms operations.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Gulf Branch is a stream in Arlington County, Virginia. From its source southwest of the Gulf Branch Nature Center, Gulf Branch flows on a northeastern course and empties into the Potomac River within the Federal parklands of the George Washington Memorial Parkway. Gulf Branch is surrounded predominantly by forests.

The Glebe House, built in 1854–1857, is a historic house with an octagon-shaped wing in Arlington County, Virginia. The Northern Virginia Conservation Trust holds a conservation easement to help protect and preserve it. The name of the house comes from the property's history as a glebe, an area of land within an ecclesiastical parish used to support a parish priest. In this case, the glebe was established by the Church of England before the American Revolutionary War.A historical marker that the Arlington County government erected near the house in 1969 states that the glebe was a 500-acre (200 ha) farm that was: ... provided for the rector of Fairfax Parish, which included both Christ Church, Alexandria, and the Falls Church. The Glebe House, built in 1775, stood here. It burned in 1808 and was rebuilt in 1820, as a hunting lodge; the octagon wing was added about 1850. Distinguished persons who have occupied the house include the Rev. Bryan Fairfax (8th Lord Fairfax), John Peter Van Ness (Mayor of Washington), Clark Mills (sculptor), Caleb Cushing (first U.S. Minister to China), and Frank Ball (state senator). The house is listed on the Virginia Landmarks Register by the Virginia Department of Historic Resources, with number 000-0003. The National Park Service listed the house on the National Register of Historic Places on February 23, 1972. The Arlington County Board designated the building to be a local historic district on January 7, 1984.The house is located near Glebe Road (Virginia State Route 120), a major road through Arlington County, which also takes its name from the historic glebe lands of Fairfax Parish.

Stratford Junior High School is a historic junior high school building located in the Cherrydale neighborhood of Arlington, Virginia. It was designed in 1949, and built in 1950. An addition was built in 1995. It is a two- to three-story, concrete post-and-beam building clad primarily in buff brick and sandstone veneer. The building is in a high-style International Style architecture. It features a two-story, three bay projecting portico of exposed concrete on four tapered concrete columns. Other features include a flat parapet roof, decorative minimalism, and the strong horizontal qualities of the building emphasized by the use of finishing materials and banded windows. In 1959, Stratford Junior High School became the first public secondary school in the Commonwealth of Virginia to desegregate with the admission of four African American students. From 1978 to 2019, it housed the H-B Woodlawn Secondary Program. It is now the site of Dorothy Hamm Middle School, with a new addition started in 2019, and finished in 2021. The building was listed on the Virginia Landmarks Register in 2003. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. It was designated as a local Historic District by the Arlington County Board in 2016.

The Waverly Hills Historic District is a national historic district located at Arlington County, Virginia. It contains 439 contributing buildings in a residential neighborhood in North Arlington. The area is the result of the combination of five separate subdivisions platted for development between 1919 and 1939. The dwelling styles include a variety of architectural styles, including Tudor Revival, Colonial Revival, Dutch Colonial Revival, Bungalow / Craftsman, and Cape Cods. Located within the district is the separately listed Glebe House (c. 1850).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Fort Ethan Allen was an earthwork fortification that the Union Army built in 1861 on the property of Gilbert Vanderwerken in Alexandria County (now Arlington County), Virginia, as part of the Civil War defenses of Washington (see Washington, D.C., in the American Civil War). The remains of the fort are now within Arlington County's Fort Ethan Allen Park.

Westover is a neighborhood in Arlington, Virginia on the National Register of Historic Places centered on Washington Boulevard between North McKinley Road and North Longfellow Street. A true model of mid-century Urbanism, Westover remains a pedestrian friendly neighborhood which sees its residents walk to shops, work, and public transportation. The neighborhood is between the Ballston Station and the East Falls Church Stations, both part of the Washington DC Metro and is serviced by many Metro Buses.

High View Park (also known as "Halls Hill") is a neighborhood in Arlington, Virginia, United States. Its approximate borders are Lee Highway to the north, North George Mason Drive to the west, Slater Park to the east. The southern boundary is a wall, built in the 1930s to separate it from the white neighborhood of Woodlawn Park (now Waycroft-Woodlawn).
