Hillcrest is a neighborhood in San Diego, California lying northwest of the Balboa Park neighborhood and south of the Mission Valley neighborhood. The UC San Diego Medical Center, Hillcrest (also referred to as the Hillcrest Medical Center or simply UC San Diego Medical Center) is one of two medical centers of UC San Diego Health and is a teaching hospital for the University of California San Diego School of Medicine. The 390-bed hospital offers a range of primary care and specialized services and houses several regional services, including the San Diego Regional Burn Center and a Comprehensive Stroke Center. Its emergency department includes the first overall and sole academic Level I Trauma Center serving San Diego County and Imperial County. It and the UC San Diego Jacobs Medical Center are the only two academic teaching hospitals in San Diego.

Legacy International Center is a biblical-themed hotel and religious center in San Diego's Mission Valley, California, US. It was built by American televangelist Morris Cerullo. The 18-acre complex was built for $190 million and opened in February 2020. The center contains a 110 foot long replica of the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem, and a 250-seat restaurant. It also contains a 4-D domed theater (motion seats, wind blasts, mist, smells) that initially showed two films, “Wings Over Israel” and “Walk Through the Bible”. It also contains Cerullo's religious relics, depictions of catacombs with replicas of biblical scenes, and a child/teen area.The hotel contains 126 rooms, a 150-seat restaurant, and a conference facility.The center also includes the offices for Morris Cerullo World Evangelism, a ballroom, and a 500-seat theater.Morris Cerullo World Evangelism purchased the foreclosed Mission Valley Resort in 2011, and the center was approved for construction in 2017.

Harper's Topiary Garden is a private garden in the Middletown neighborhood of San Diego, California, containing over 50 plant sculptures that have been used in topiary. All of the plants have been trimmed by hand. Entering the garden is prohibited; visitors can only view and photograph the area.

Scripps Mercy Hospital is a private Catholic hospital located in San Diego, California. Founded in 1890, it is the oldest hospital in San Diego County and has campuses in Chula Vista and Hillcrest. The hospital has 700 acute-care-licensed beds and employs 1,300 physicians. The Hillcrest campus is home to one of only two regional Level I Trauma Centers and receives more than 2,100 trauma patients each year.

The Spruce Street Suspension Bridge, colloquially known as the Wiggly Bridge, is a historic 375 ft (114 m) long footbridge in the Bankers Hill neighborhood of San Diego. It was built in 1912 by Edwin M. Capps. It can hold a maximum of 327,900 lb (148,700 kg) and crosses Kate Sessions Canyon. It was designated a San Diego Historic Landmark in 1977.

All Saints’ Episcopal Church is an historic house of worship in San Diego, California. It is noted for its traditional Anglican services, its music program, and its art and architecture. All Saints’ has existed continuously and at the same location for a longer time than any other church in San Diego. Founded in 1896 as a mission of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, it moved to its current position on the corner of Sixth and Pennsylvania Avenues in 1899 and became a parish in 1906. The new neighborhood of Hillcrest grew up around it. The present church building was constructed in 1912. It was designed by two people of prominence in San Diego architectural history, William Sterling Hebbard (1863-1930) and Carleton Monroe Winslow, Sr. The church is a classic representative of the Mission style, on which Hebbard had done extensive research. The building’s structure has not been altered since 1912, and most of the original furnishings are still in place. Harmonious additions were made in 1924 (a parish hall) and 1948-1950 (a chapel, meeting room, and offices). These expansions were also designed by important architects: William Henry Wheeler (1872-1956) for the parish hall and Louis Gill (1885-1969) for the additions of the late 1940s. Between 1957 and 1967 the church was beautified by 32 works of stained glass, produced by the renowned Judson Studios of Los Angeles. These windows follow a unified program that includes sequences illustrating the history of the Christian church, the life of the Virgin, and the host of angels. The great west window is a representation of Christ the King surrounded by emblems of the sacraments and the four Gospel writers. The remarkable acoustics of the church have made it a preferred location for many musical events. Its choir and organ (M. P. Moller, 1973) provide classical and traditional Christian music for weekly services and special occasions. Since its beginning, All Saints’ has been a metropolitan church, attracting members from throughout the San Diego area. Its congregation is diverse in age, sex, ethnicity, and occupation. The church sponsors a popular preschool and provides facilities for a variety of social service organizations. It continues the traditional Anglican worship service known to Episcopalians as Rite I.

Mission Brewery Plaza is a historic brewery building in the Middletown neighborhood of San Diego, California. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 6, 1989. It is also the name of a San Diego microbrewery which opened in 2007.
