Al-Janoub Stadium (Arabic: استاد الجنوب, romanized: ʾIstād al-Janūb, lit. 'Stadium of the South'), formerly known as Al-Wakrah Stadium (Arabic: استاد الوكرة), is a retractable roof football stadium in Al-Wakrah, Qatar that was inaugurated on 16 May 2019. This was the second among the eight stadiums for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, after the renovation of Khalifa International Stadium. It was designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid (1950–2016) together with the firms AECOM and Jain and Partners of Dubai.The stadium features a curvilinear postmodernist and neo-futurist design. The appearance of the roof was inspired by the sails of traditional Dhow boats, used by pearl divers from the region, weaving through currents of the Persian Gulf.It is the official headquartes of the football club Al-Wakrah SC, where the matches of the Qatar Stars League will be held. The capacity of the stadium is 20,000, previously it was 40,000 before the World Cup.The stadium is located about 22 km south of Doha.

Al Meshaf (Arabic: المشاف) is a district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Al Wakrah.In the 2015 census, it was listed as a district of zone no. 91 which has a population of 165,214 and also includes Al Wukair and Al Thumama.It borders Al Wakrah to the east and Al Wukair to the southwest.

Barwa Al Baraha (Arabic: بروة البراحة; also called Workers City or Barwa Village) is a residential area for laborers in the Doha Industrial Area located south of the Industrial Area in Al Wakrah Municipality in Qatar. The project aims to provide a reasonable standard of living as defined by the new Human Rights Legislation.

Umm Besher (Arabic: ام بشر; also known as Barwa Village) is a district located in the municipality of Al Wakrah in Qatar, near the municipality's border with Doha.It borders Al Thumama to the north, Ras Abu Fontas to the east, Al Mashaf to the south and Jery Musabbeh to the west. Barwa Village, a city-scale initiative by Barwa Group, is located here. Completed in 2010, Barwa Village comprises 18 mixed-use complexes with over 450 residential units and 900 commercial spaces. Contained within it are most modern amenities, including a health clinic, a shopping center, an international school, and parks.

Mesaimeer (Arabic: مسيمير, romanized: Musaymīr) is a district in the municipality of Al Rayyan in Qatar. Located south-west of Doha, it shares borders with the Doha Industrial Area to the east, Umm Al Seneem, Abu Hamour and Al Mamoura to the north-west, Al Thumama to the east, and Wadi Aba Saleel and Jery Musabbeh to the south-east.

The Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Rosary (Arabic: كنيسة سيدة الوردية) is a Catholic church in Doha, Qatar. It is located, along with churches of other Christian denominations, at the Religious Complex in Abu Hamour. It is the first church built in the country since the Muslim conquests in the 7th century.The church was constructed at a cost of around $20 million on land donated by the Emir of Qatar, Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. Due to the laws in Islamic Qatar, the church displays no Christian symbols like crosses, bells, or a steeple on its exterior.The church was dedicated on 14 March 2008, by Cardinal Ivan Dias, prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation, in a ceremony attended by Qatari Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah; Archbishop Mounged Al Hachem, the ambassador of the Holy See to the Gulf; Bishop Paul Hinder, Apostolic Vicariate of Arabia; Archbishop Giuseppe Andrea, former nuncio of the Holy See to the region; and several Qatari officials.The church is part of the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia and serves around 200,000 Catholics in Qatar, most of them migrant workers from the Philippines, India, South America, Africa, Lebanon and Europe.

The Saoud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani Stadium (Arabic: ملعب سعود بن عبدالرحمن), also known as Al-Wakrah SC Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Al Wakrah, Qatar. It is currently used mostly for football matches. It is the home venue of Al-Wakrah Sports Club. The stadium has a capacity of 12,000 seats.A new stadium named Al Janoub Stadium is being built in the vicinity in time for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and will be used as Al-Wakrah Sports Club’s home, after the world cup.During the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the site was used as the training base for England.

Al Wakrah Municipality (also spelled Al Wakra Municipality; Arabic: بلدية الوكرة Baladīyat al-Wakrah) is a municipality of Qatar located bordered by the municipalities of Doha and Al Rayyan. The municipal seat is Al Wakrah city.
