Huashenmiao station (simplified Chinese: 花神庙站; traditional Chinese: 花神廟站; pinyin: Huāshénmiào Zhàn; lit. 'Temple of Flower Deity station'), is a station of Line 1 of the Nanjing Metro, named after the nearby Ming-era Huashen Temple. It began operations on 28 May 2010, as part of the southern extension of line 1 from Andemen to CPU.

Qinhuai District (simplified Chinese: 秦淮区; traditional Chinese: 秦淮區; pinyin: Qínhuái Qū) is one of 11 districts of Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province, China.

Nanjingnan (Nanjing South) railway station (Chinese: 南京南站; pinyin: Nánjīngnán Zhàn) is a high-speed railway station in Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province, serving the Beijing–Shanghai (Jinghu) high-speed railway, Shanghai–Nanjing (Huning) intercity railway, Nanjing–Hangzhou (Ninghang) high-speed railway, Shanghai–Wuhan–Chengdu (Huhanrong) high-speed railway and the South Jiangsu Riverside high-speed railway. The new Nanjing South railway station is located a few kilometers south of downtown Nanjing in Yuhuatai District, and has a connection with the Nanjing Metro, served by Lines 1, 3, S1 and S3. Construction on the station began on 10 January 2008, and the station opened on 28 June 2011, two days before the opening of the Beijing–Shanghai high-speed railway. It is one of the world's largest railway stations in terms of GFA (Gross Floor Area), at 458,000 m2 (4,930,000 sq ft), nearly six times larger than the pre-existing Nanjing railway station to the north, with five floors allowing for a zero-distance transfer to Nanjing Metro, Nanjing municipal buses and Airport bus lines.Before the construction of the (New) Nanjing South Railway Station, the name "Nanjing South Railway Station" was applied to another station: a fairly minor rail station located just outside the Gate of China (Zhonghuamen) of Nanjing's walled city, much closer to the city centre than the new Nanjing South Railway Station. To avoid confusion, the (old) South Railway Station has now been renamed as the Zhonghuamen railway station.

China General Aviation Flight 7552 was a China General Aviation flight from Nanjing Dajiaochang Airport to Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport. On July 31, 1992, the Yakovlev Yak-42D overran runway 06 during takeoff and impacted an embankment at 210 kilometres per hour (110 kn; 130 mph), 420 metres (1,380 ft) from the threshold.

Nanjing Dajiaochang Airport (Chinese: 南京大校场机场) was an airport for Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu Province and former capital of the Republic of China. It is located 6.2 kilometres (3.9 mi) south of Xinjiekou, the center of Nanjing, and is surrounded on three sides by the Qinhuai River.On 28 June 1997 Nanjing Lukou International Airport was opened and all civil flights were transferred to the new airport. Dajiaochang Airport remained in use as a military air base. On 8 August 2012, construction began for Nanjing Luhe Airport. After Luhe Airport was opened in July 2015 and the Nanjing Air Base transferred to the new airport, Dajiaochang Airport was closed on 30 July 2015. It will be redeveloped into a commercial and residential area, and its historic runway will be conserved as a public open space.

Yuhuatai Memorial Park of Revolutionary Martyrs (雨花台烈士陵园) is a park and tourist site in the Yuhuatai District of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. The name Yuhuatai comes from yu (rain), hua (flower), tai (platform). A prominent feature of the park is a statue of nine figures. The statue commemorates the 100,000 Communists killed by the Kuomintang.

Ruanjiandadao station (simplified Chinese: 软件大道站; traditional Chinese: 軟件大道站; pinyin: Ruǎnjiàndàdào Zhàn; lit. 'software avenue station'), is a station of Line 1 of the Nanjing Metro, named after and located along the eponymous avenue of the same name. It began operations on 28 May 2010, as part of the southern extension of line 1 from Andemen to CPU. During the planning and construction stages, the station was named Ningnandadao station (宁南大道站; 寧南大道站; Níngnándàdào Zhàn; 'Ning (Nanjing) south avenue station') until around May 2009, when the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs (南京市民政部) approved a name change of both the eponymous avenue and station to the present names, in order to increase the name recognition of Yuhua Software Park (雨花软件园).

Baixia (Chinese: 白下; pinyin: Báixià) was a district of Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu Province, People's Republic of China. It has a population of 530,000 (2011) and a land area of 35 square kilometres (14 sq mi). By the side of Qinhuai River, Baixia District has a long history and culture. Zhonghuamen station (simplified Chinese: 中华门站; traditional Chinese: 中華門站; pinyin: Zhōnghuámén Zhàn), is a station of Line 1 of the Nanjing Metro. It started operations on 3 September 2005 as part of the line's Phase I from Maigaoqiao to Andemen.

Zhonghuamen railway station (Chinese: 中华门火车站) is a railway station in Yuhua Road near Zhonghua Gate of Nanjing. It is a station of Nanjing–Tongling railway, with two platforms. Built in 1935 as part of the Jiangnan Railway, the station served as the main passage from central Nanjing to Wuhu. It was seriously damaged during the Second Sino-Japanese War as well as during the Chinese Civil War, and only returned to service in January 1948. The station underwent a series of expansion projects in the 1980s and 1990s, and was briefly renamed as Nanjing South Railway Station in 1998. On 6 January 2011, the station was restored to its old name to avoid confusion with the newer Nanjing South railway station, which is further uptown and operates high-speed rail services. Passenger services stopped in October 2014.The station is served by the nearby Zhonghuamen Metro Station.

China Gate Castle Park (Chinese: 中华门城堡公园) is a park in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, China. It is located north of the Qinhai River, south of the Nanjing City Wall and near the Changgan Bridge. Entrance to the treelined riverside park is gained through the China Gate.The City of Nanjing has identified it as one of the top five parks in the city. Others are Mochou Lake Park, Qingliangshan Park, Wuchaomen Park and Xuanwu Lake.

The Zhonghua Gate (traditional Chinese: 中華門; simplified Chinese: 中华门; pinyin: Zhōnghuámén), is a gate and defensive complex on the city wall of Nanjing, China. This is the southern gate of Nanjing city. It is a renowned ancient city gate in China and the city gate with the most complex structure in the world.
