Legoland Discovery Center Westchester

Ridge Hill, formerly known as Westchester's Ridge Hill is a mixed-use lifestyle center located between Interstate 87 and the Sprain Brook Parkway in Yonkers, New York. With its grand opening in 2011, Ridge Hill features a variety of retail stores, restaurants, condominiums, and offices. It was developed by Forest City Ratner Companies, Forest City's New York subsidiary. The center was built on an 84-acre parcel of land purchased from the City of Yonkers. Forest City later sold its mall business to Queensland Investment Corporation. The mall's anchor stores are Showcase Cinemas, Dick's Sporting Goods, TJ Maxx, Whole Foods Market, Lowe's, and Legoland Discovery Centre.

The Grassy Sprain Reservoir is a 150-acre (61 ha) storage reservoir in northern Yonkers, New York. It was completed in 1876 by the City of Yonkers as the city's main storage reservoir. The reservoir was formed by the Grassy Sprain Brook Dam which impounded the Sprain Brook River and Grassy Sprain River. The reservoir itself has a maximum capacity of 2,900 acre-feet (3,600,000 m3), and water from the reservoir is sent to a water filtration plant prior to civil consumption. The Grassy Sprain Brook Dam is earthen, 40 feet (12 m) high, 600 feet (180 m) long and drains an area of 1.91 square miles (4.9 km2). In 1919 the City of Yonkers, which at that time had about 100,000 residents, estimated that the reservoir capacity would supply the city for 85 days.

Winchester Villages is a gated community in the northeastern segment of the city of Yonkers in Westchester County, New York. It was built by the Ginsburg Development Company and completed in 1997. It consists of 188 semi-attached homes. The homes originally sold for under $300,000, making them among the most affordable options in Westchester County at the time. The complex includes a playground, tennis courts, a swimming pool, and a clubhouse with a small gym and party facilities. The development has drawn criticism for its car-dependent design, as its only entrance is located on East Grassy Sprain Road, a not pedestrian-friendly road parallel to the northbound lanes of the Sprain Brook Parkway. The closest bus stop is nearly two miles away.

Yonkers Water Works is a historic public water works located at Yonkers, Westchester County, New York. Three buildings remain extant; two were built in 1876 and one in 1898. They are reflective of the High Victorian style. The Tuckahoe Road Pumping Station was built in 1876 and expanded before 1900. The original section is three bays wide and three bays deep with a central projecting pavilion and pedimented gable roof. The gatehouse at Grassy Sprain Reservoir was also constructed in 1876. It is a small, one story masonry building on a high granite foundation. The Tubewell Station was built in 1898 and expanded in 1922. It is a red brick building, one and one half stories high and five bays wide and 13 bays deep.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Sherwood House is a historic home located at Yonkers, Westchester County, New York. It was built in 1740 and is a 3-story frame structure on an exposed basement built into a hillside. Additions and modifications took place about 1810, 1850, and 1880. It features a 2-story porch spanning the entire facade and 2 dutch doors. The house was extensively remodeled in 1955. Also on the property is a 1+1⁄2-story, frame caretaker's cottage and a barn. Both were built about 1840.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is now owned by the Yonkers Historical Society, which offers tours.

Runyon Heights, also known as the area of Nepperhan, is a historically African American middle-class neighborhood in northwestern Yonkers, New York, US.Runyon Heights can be found along the north side of Tuckahoe Road between Saw Mill River Parkway and New York State Thruway. Noteworthy locations include Saint Mary's Cemetery and Kardash Park.

The Theodore Roosevelt High School was a public high school opened in 1926, operated by Yonkers Public Schools, located on the corner of Tuckahoe Road and Central Park Avenue in Yonkers, New York. It shared its campus with Early College High School from 2010, which completely replaced Roosevelt High School in 2013. Then, due to fierce opposition by alumni, on June 18, 2014, the Yonkers Board of Education voted to rename Early College High School, to the new name of Roosevelt High School – Early College Studies. The class of 2013 was the last graduating class at the original Roosevelt High School, as the building changed its name, school colors, and mascot to "Early College High School". The change was the result of test scores given to the school, as well as to offer a two-year college preparatory program within the city. As of fall 2014, Roosevelt has reverted to a name closer to its old name, as it is now "Roosevelt High School - Early College Studies" although the home team is now "The Sharks" (changed from the former school mascot "The Indians"), and the team colors are no longer red and white; they are now blue and white. On June 23, 2015, the school held a ceremony to officially commemorate the new name "Roosevelt High School - Early College Studies".

Whitney Young is a neighborhood in the Southwestern City of Yonkers, New York. It was settled as a town by the English under Dutch rule in 1656 in New Netherland. It is one of the major predominantly African American neighborhoods in the borough of Yonkers. Willie Young is a neighborhood in the City of Yonkers, New York. It was settled as a town by the New Netherland Director-General in August 1645 after Yonkers was found. It is one of the major predominantly African American neighborhoods in Yonkers. Whitney Young's Main Street of the section is Nepperhan Avenue. The Whitney Young section of the city is west of Oakland Cemetery, and is near New York State Route 9A.

The Hastings Prototype House is located at Farragut Parkway and High Street in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, United States. It is a Moderne-style concrete building erected during the 1930s. In 1991 it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.It was planned to be one of a number of experimental dwellings along Farragut Parkway, and, ultimately, a larger-scale development in Florida; neither of which was ever built. It incorporated many innovations, including a patented method of precasting the concrete panels used in its walls and floors and the first gas-fired heating system in Westchester County. These led to it being featured in an exhibit at the 1939 New York World's Fair. The architect, developer and contractor were all local, none of them involved with any of the contemporary movements that led to the Moderne style. Charles Horn, the architect, never built another building in that style. Unoccupied, it fell into disrepair in later years and was threatened with demolition after it became an eyesore. It was preserved in the 1980s when a man who had grown up in the neighborhood bought it, researched its history and restored it.

Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Hall of Records is a historic corporate archives located at Yonkers, Westchester County, New York. It was designed by architect D. Everett Waid and built by the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in 1906. The Classical Revival style building consists of a two-story section built in 1906, a third floor that was added in 1920, and two additions that were constructed in 1917 and 1927. It is constructed of steel frame and reinforced concrete, and has a brick curtain wall. The building is "L"-shaped features a convex portico with cast stone columns at the interior of the "L". The building housed over 56 linear miles of filing space in shelving units and cabinets and remained under Metropolitan Life's ownership until 2006.: 3–4, 10 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

The Westchester Hills Cemetery is at 400 Saw Mill River Road in Hastings-on-Hudson, Westchester County, New York, approximately 20 miles north of New York City. It is a Jewish cemetery, and many well-known entertainers and performers are interred there. It was founded by the Stephen Wise Free Synagogue in 1919 when the synagogue acquired the northern portion of the Mount Hope Cemetery.

Yonkers () is a city in Westchester County, New York, United States. Developed along the Hudson River, it is the third most populous city in the state of New York, after New York City and Buffalo. The population of Yonkers was 211,569 as enumerated in the 2020 United States Census. It is classified as an inner suburb of New York City, located directly to the north of the Bronx and approximately two miles (3 km) north of Marble Hill, Manhattan, the northernmost point in Manhattan. Yonkers's downtown is centered on a plaza known as Getty Square, where the municipal government is located. The downtown area also houses significant local businesses and nonprofit organizations. It serves as a major retail hub for Yonkers and the northwest Bronx. The city is home to several attractions, including access to the Hudson River, Tibbetts Brook Park, with its public pool with slides and lazy river and two-mile walking loop Untermyer Park; Hudson River Museum; Saw Mill River daylighting, wherein a parking lot was removed to uncover the Nepperkamack (Saw Mill River); Science Barge; and Sherwood House. Yonkers Raceway, a harness racing track, renovated its grounds and clubhouse, and added legalized video slot machine gambling in 2006 to become a "racino" named Empire City. In more recent years, Yonkers has undergone progressive gentrification.Major shopping areas are located in Getty Square, on South Broadway, at the Cross County Shopping Center and Westchester's Ridge Hill, and along Central Park Avenue, informally called "Central Ave" by area residents, a name it takes officially a few miles north in White Plains. Yonkers is known as the "City of Seven Hills", including Park, Nodine, Ridge, Cross, Locust, Glen, and Church Hills.
