National Taiwan University (NTU; simplified Chinese: 国立台湾大学; traditional Chinese: 國立臺灣大學; pinyin: Guólì Táiwān Dàxué; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Kok-li̍p Tâi-oân Tāi-ha̍k; colloquially, 臺大; Táidà / Tâi-tāi) is a national university located in Taipei, Taiwan. NTU has been considered the most comprehensive university on the island. It consists of 11 colleges, 56 departments, 133 graduate institutes, over 60 research centers and a school of professional education and continuing studies.The university was founded in 1928 during Japanese rule as the seventh of the Imperial Universities, Taihoku Imperial University to serve under the purpose of Japanese colonization. After World War II, the Nationalist Kuomintang (KMT) government assumed the administration of the university. The Ministry of Education reorganized and renamed the university to its current name on November 15, 1945, with its roots of liberal tradition from Peking University in Beijing by former NTU President Fu Ssu-nien.Notable alumni include Tsai Ing-Wen, current President of the Republic of China, former presidents Lee Teng-hui, Chen Shui-bian and Ma Ying-jeou, Turing Award laureate Andrew Yao, and Nobel Prize in Chemistry laureate Yuan T. Lee. NTU is affiliated with National Taiwan Normal University and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology as part of the NTU System.

Gongguan (Chinese: 公館, formerly transliterated as Kungkuan Station until 2003) is a metro station in Taipei, Taiwan served by Taipei Metro. National Taiwan University, the highest academy of Taiwan, is close to the station.

National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Chinese: 國立臺灣科技大學), or Taiwan Tech (臺科大), is a public university located in Taipei, Taiwan. Taiwan Tech was established in 1974 as the National Taiwan Institute of Technology (國立臺灣工業技術學院), as the first and the leading higher education institution within Taiwan's technical and vocational education system. Taiwan Tech is one of Asia's 10th rank as the best institute in science and technology.Taiwan Tech enrolled 5,645 undergraduates and 4,744 graduate students, and employed 414 full-time faculties and about 318 staff members in 2013. The university’s 14 departments and 24 graduate programs are divided into the following 7 colleges, College of Engineering, College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, School of Management, College of Design, College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, College of Intellectual Property Studies, and Honors College.Taiwan Tech has five campuses, the Gongguan main campus, located at Daan, situated in the south of Taipei, covers an area of approximately 10 hectares (25 acres).

The National Taiwan University Sports Center (Chinese: 臺大綜合體育館; pinyin: Táidà Zònghé Tǐyùguǎn) is a major multi-purpose indoor arena in National Taiwan University, Taipei City, Taiwan. It was built by and is now managed by National Taiwan University. The sports center has 4,200 seats.

The Taiwan Power Building, also known as Taipower Building or Taipower Headquarters (Chinese: 台電大樓), is a skyscraper office building in Zhongzheng District, Taipei, Taiwan. The height of building is 127 m (417 ft), and it comprises 27 floors above ground, as well as three basement levels. The tower was completed in 1983 and was designed by Kaku Morin. It houses the corporate headquarters of Taiwan Power Company and was the first building in Taiwan to surpass 100 m (330 ft). The building overtook the First Commercial Bank Building in 1983 and became the tallest building in Taiwan from 1983 to 1988, before it was overtaken by TWTC International Trade Building. In 2018, although the Taiwan Power Building had been completed for 36 years, through the integration of smart energy conservation, using the Intelligent Building Energy Management System, it monitored and analyzed its energy usage, updated the air conditioning system, and created a green computer room. It saves around 1.6 million kilowatt-hours of electricity and nearly 4,000 tonnes of water annually, and has thus been awarded the highest level of platinum certification for existing building renovations by the U.S. Green Building Certification Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). It is the oldest LEED certified green building in Taiwan, receiving full marks to place in the top fifth percentile of office buildings worldwide, and only about 400 buildings in the world have received this certification.
