Hamilton Mall

McKee City is an unincorporated community located within the Mays Landing section of Hamilton Township, Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States. The community was named after Colonel John McKee (1821–1902), an African American property speculator. Although its name includes the word "city", McKee City is not an actual city — it is currently a crossroads of commerce that has replaced tenant farmers with retail stores and residential neighborhoods. McKee City is the home of the Atlantic City Race Course, along with numerous commercial businesses, including the Hamilton Mall, which opened in 1987.

The Atlantic City Race Course (ACRC), formerly the Atlantic City Race Track, was a Thoroughbred horse race track located in the Mays Landing section of Hamilton Township, in Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States. The track is located off the Black Horse Pike (U.S. Route 322) next to the Hamilton Mall. Despite the name, the facility is located 14 miles (23 km) from Atlantic City. The facility closed permanently in January 2015. The main track is 1⅛ miles in length and 100 feet (30 m) wide, with a 7 furlong chute. The stretch portion of the main track is 947.29 feet (288.73 m). The turf course is a 100-foot (30 m) wide, one mile (1.6 km) oval. The stands offer a seating capacity of 10,000, with standing room available for 25,000. In all, ACRC covers over 250 acres (1.0 km2) of land.

Atlantic County is a county located along the southern coast of the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States Census, the county had a population of 274,534, a -0.005 change from the 274,549 enumerated in the 2010 Census. Its county seat is the Mays Landing section of Hamilton Township. The most populous place was Egg Harbor Township, with 43,323 residents at the time of the 2010 Census; Galloway Township, covered 115.21 square miles (298.4 km2), the largest total area of any municipality, though Hamilton Township has the largest land area, covering 111.13 square miles (287.8 km2). Atlantic County forms the Atlantic City–Hammonton Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is also part of the Delaware Valley Combined Statistical Area.

Oakcrest High School is a comprehensive four-year public high school located in Hamilton Township, in Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States. The school is part of the Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District, which includes three secondary schools that serve students from Egg Harbor City, Galloway Township, Hamilton Township and Mullica Township, together with students from Port Republic and Washington Township (in Burlington County) who attend as part of sending/receiving relationships.The school serves students from Hamilton Township, though students from elsewhere in the district are eligible to apply to attend magnet programs hosted at Oakcrest. With the opening of Cedar Creek High School in Egg Harbor City in 2010, students from Mullica Township, Port Republic and Washington Township no longer attend Oakcrest High School.As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 937 students and 88.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.6:1. There were 416 students (44.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 102 (10.9% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Atlantic Cape Community College is a public community college in Atlantic County and Cape May County in New Jersey. Atlantic Cape enrolls more than 6,000 students. Its main campuses are in the Mays Landing section of Hamilton Township in Atlantic County, Atlantic City, and Cape May Court House. Situated on 541 acres (2.19 km2) in the New Jersey Pine Barrens, Atlantic Cape's Mays Landing Campus is 15 miles (24 km) west of Atlantic City's boardwalk, 45 miles (72 km) from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and 115 miles (185 km) from New York City. The college offers more than 40 transfer and career degree programs as well as continuing education professional development and training services. It awards Associate in Arts, Associate in Science and Associate in Applied Science degrees. The college operates nationally recognized casino career and culinary arts programs. The college operates an extension center in Atlantic City and a full-service location in Cape May County.

WRML-LP is a low-power college FM radio station licensed to the Mays Landing section of Hamilton Township, Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States, transmitting on an FM frequency of 107.9 megahertz. It is owned by Atlantic Cape Community College, with staff running daily behind-the-scenes operations. Live programming is produced and presented entirely by current student volunteers.

The Atlantic County Vocational School District is a comprehensive vocational public school district serving the vocational and training needs of high school students in ninth through twelfth grades and adults from Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States. Both of the district's schools are located in the Mays Landing section of Hamilton Township. As of the 2017-18 school year, the district and its two schools had an enrollment of 1,551 students and 133.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.6:1.

The Atlantic County Special Services School District is a special education public school district located in the Mays Landing section of Hamilton Township, serving the educational needs of classified students ages 3 to 21 from Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2014-15 school year, the district and its two schools had an enrollment of 411 students and 67.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 6.1:1.
