Klaukkala

Klaukkala church (Finnish: Klaukkalan kirkko, Swedish: Klövskogs kyrka) is a copper-plated modern church in Klaukkala of the Nurmijärvi municipality, built in 2004. The church was designed by Anssi Lassila; interior furniture and lamps were designed by interior architect Antti Paatero and liturgical textiles by Hanna Korvela. Mikko Heikka, a bishop of the Evangelic Lutheran Church, dedicated it on November 28, 2004. Construction claimed one death when a worker fell from the roof.Klaukkala Church was awarded the "Concrete of the Year" honorable mention in 2004.

Klaukkala Library (Finnish: Klaukkalan kirjasto; Swedish: Klövskog bibliotek) is a public library of the town of Klaukkala, located in the Nurmijärvi municipality in Uusimaa, Finland.

The Klaukkala Orthodox Church (Finnish: Klaukkalan ortodoksinen kirkko; Swedish: Klövskog ortodoxa kyrka), also known as St. Nectarios Church (Finnish: Pyhän Nektarios Eginalaisen kirkko; Swedish: Sankt Nektarios kyrka), is the 20th-century wooden Orthodox church located in Klaukkala, an urban area in the Nurmijärvi municipality in Uusimaa, Finland. The church was named after the Greek saint Nectarios of Aegina. The church also keeps the relic of Nectarios.Kermesse is celebrated in the church annually on 9 November.

Kauppakeskus Viiri is a shopping mall in the southeast part of Klaukkala, Finland. It is the largest shopping centre in the Nurmijärvi municipality. The mall is divided into Big Viiri (Isoviiri) and Little Viiri (Pikkuviiri). In the spring, the Viiri Fair (Viirin Messut) is held annually in the shopping center. The fair has companies from the shopping center, as well as other stakeholders and sports clubs. An extension, including a Prisma hypermarket, and a new market were planned for the mall. These were to be realized with the construction of the Viirinlaakso area, but HOK-Elanto withdrew from the project and moved Klaukkala's old S-market to a nearby retail space.

Mäntysalo (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈmæntyˌsɑlo], literally translated "pine woodland") is a residential area of about one thousand inhabitants in the northern part of Klaukkala in Nurmijärvi municipality. It is one of the largest growth areas in Klaukkala. Haikala and Ripatti, the other residential areas of Klaukkala, are located around Mäntysalo. The most important road connection to the center of Klaukkala is Kirkkotie, which divides the areas of Haikala and Mäntysalo. The future Klaukkala bypass, Klaukkalan kehätie, which is under construction, will pass north of Mäntysalo.

Harjula is a residential area of about 2,000 inhabitants in the southern part of Klaukkala in Nurmijärvi municipality, by the River Lepsämä and the road leading to Lahnus. There are spacious detached houses, terraced houses, small blocks of flats and some private services in the area. Harjula has an elementary school for about 250 students with grades 1–6, and kindergarten alongside of school. In the immediate vicinity of Harjula, in the direction of Klaukkala central, is the residential area called Syrjälä. Founded in 1976, the residents' association Harjula-Seura operates in Harjula.In the southern part of the Harjula area, near the Espoo border, an area of 44-acre is being planned by Circulation Oy for a bioterminal and utility material handling and transfer station. The construction project has sparked resistance among local residents, who have expressed concern about the effects of increasing heavy traffic, dust and potential harm to nature and the burden on the River Lepsämä. At the same time, residents are also concerned about the decline in property values.

Valkjärvi is a lake located in the Nurmijärvi municipality in Southern Finland. It is an island-free lake in the immediate vicinity of Klaukkala's urban area. The water flows from the lake along the Luhtajoki River all the way to the Vantaa River.Valkjärvi is the most lushest lake of Nurmijärvi, and it is part of the Nurmijärvi's lake monitoring program of the Central Uusimaa Environment Centre (Keski-Uudenmaan ympäristökeskus) due to its poor oxygen values near the bottom of the lake, which are observed especially in summer and winter under ice. Blue-green algae are quite common in the lake; in July 2015, the phytoplankton in the lake with the highest total biomass consisted of 40% cyanobacteria and 29% cryptomonad.Despite all this, Valkjärvi has great recreational value and there are quite a lot of both permanent and holiday settlements around the lake. There are two beaches at the southern end of Valkjärvi: Tiiranranta Beach and Lähtelä Beach.

The Luhtajoki is a 46-kilometre (29 mi) long river in Southern Finland. The river starts from Hyvinkää and flows as Kyläjoki into the church village of Nurmijärvi, where it flows 23 kilometers (14 mi) into the Klaukkala and from there to the River Vantaa where it connects. The Luhtajoki River is lush and its water is clayey. The river is subject to both point and diffuse loads. The loads are caused by, for example, sewage load and agriculture. There are extensive floodplains in the area. The river has been sprouted several times. The Luhtajoki River is classified as satisfactory and the River Kyläjoki as passable. The river is also quite demanding for canoeing due to its eutrophication and sometimes its low amount of water.

Numlahti Manor (Finnish: Numlahden kartano, Swedish: Numlax gård) is a manor house and mansion located in Nurmijärvi, close to the villages of Valkjärvi and Numlahti along the Lopentie road. The Numlahti Manor is the oldest manor of Nurmijärvi.

Serena Waterpark (Finnish: Vesipuisto Serena) is a water park located along to the Vihdintie road in the Lahnus district of Espoo, Finland. It was opened after extensive excavation and construction work in 1989. Serena is the largest indoor water park in the Nordic countries, and it is also one of the most popular travel destinations in Southern Finland, with more than 200,000 people visiting the water park every year.With the depression in Finland in the early 1990s, water park's original owner Serenaland Oy went bankrupt, and after that, the bankruptcy estate was transferred to Tervakoski's Puuhamaa in 1992. The current owner is Spanish Aspro Ocio S.A., to whom Puuharyhmä Oyj, which previously owned it, was sold in March 2007.The water park features a variety of water slides, patios and hot tubs, children's pools and sparkling rapids, and the sauna departments are located in a part of the water park excavated inside the rock. There are also restaurants and cafés in the area. The Serena Ski Center is open in winter. There are six cottages for rent all year round.The Serena Pop & Rock music festival was held in the area for the first time in 2014.

Numlahti (Swedish: Numlax) is a rural village in the municipality of Nurmijärvi, close to the village of Perttula and five kilometers from Klaukkala. The Numlahti Manor, which dates back to 1594 and is the oldest manor of the municipality, is located in Numlahti along the Lopentie road. The lands of the manor were separated after the World War II for immigrants who came from Karelia to be redeemed, thus forming a so-called "karelian village". Between Perttula, Uotila and Numlahti was once lake called Kuhajärvi, which was dried in a field partly in the 1830s and 1850s, and then completely in the 1920s and 1940s. Numlahti has no school of its own, but the pupils go to other schools in the municipality.

Hotel Korpilampi is a hotel in Lahnus, Espoo, Finland, operated by Pandox. Construction of this first so-called "wilderness hotel" in the Helsinki capital region started in 1975 and the hotel was opened in 1977. The hotel became publicly known in connection with the Korpilampi seminar in 1977. The hotel has a total of 156 rooms and 17 conference halls. The hotel also has a restaurant, a spa and a health club. Lomaliitto, the previous owner of Hotel Korpilampi, went bankrupt in 2009. After the bankruptcy the hotel was closed for a year and a half until Pandox bought the hotel.
