The Great Southwest Building, formerly the Petroleum Building, is a skyscraper located at 1314 Texas Avenue in Downtown Houston, Texas in the United States.

KMAZ-LP (102.5 FM) is a radio station that is licensed to serve the inner Loop and Downtown areas of Houston, Texas, United States. The station broadcasts an urban adult contemporary format branded as "Amazing 102.5". KMAZ-LP broadcasts from the top of the Wells Fargo Building, 1000 Louisiana St., Houston TX, 77002. Its coverage area encompasses Downtown Houston, all Wards, The Heights, Montrose, West University, Rice Villages, and most of the areas located within the Interstate 610 Loop.

One Shell Plaza (OSP) is a 50-story, 218 m (715 ft) skyscraper at 910 Louisiana Street in Downtown Houston, Texas. Perched atop the building is an antenna that brings the overall height of the building to 304.8 m (1,000 ft). At its completion in 1971, the tower was the tallest in the city.

The El Paso Energy Building (also known as the Kinder Morgan Building) is a 502-foot (153 m) high-rise office building located in Houston, Texas. It was completed in 1963 and has 33 floors. It was originally known as the Tenneco Building. It is the 28th tallest building in the city. Because of downtown Houston's diagonal street grid, all four sides of the building are exposed to the sun. The windows are recessed from the frame to control heat and glare from the sun. The footprint of the building is an exact square. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP, the architects of the building, were recognized with an Honor Award from the American Institute of Architects in 1969. An elevator or an escalator were required to get to the main lobby of the building because it was raised above the street level. the first 5 floors of the building opened to make a huge glass-enclosed space. A number of drive-through bank kiosks along Louisiana Street were replaced with fountains in 1984.

Enterprise Plaza (also known as 1100 Louisiana) is a 55-story, 230 m (750 ft) skyscraper at 1100 Louisiana Street in downtown Houston, Texas The headquarters of Enterprise Products is located in the Enterprise Plaza. Enterprise Plaza was completed in 1980 by Hines. It was sold in 1985 to Capitol Guidance Corporation which sold it again to National Office Partners Limited Partnership (NOP), a joint venture between Hines Interests Limited Partnership and the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS). Hines Real Estate bought the tower in January 2000.Enterprise Plaza is an office building located in the heart of Houston's energy and financial corridor. It stands at 756 ft (230 m) tall with 55 stories. It was the tallest building in Texas from 1980 until 1982 when it was surpassed by the JPMorgan Chase Tower.

CenterPoint Energy Tower (formerly Houston Industries Plaza) is a 741 feet (226 m) tall building in downtown Houston. The original building, finished in 1974, stood at 651 feet (198 m), but a 90-foot (27 m) extension was added as part of a 1996 renovation. Designed by Richard Keating, this renovation dramatically changed the building, the Houston Skyline and the downtown. Keating was also the designer of the nearby Wells Fargo Tower. It has the headquarters of CenterPoint Energy.Historically the building housed the headquarters of Houston Industries (HI) and subsidiary Houston Lighting & Power (HL&P). In 1999 Houston Industries changed its name to Reliant Energy. When Reliant Energy moved out of the building and moved into the new Reliant Energy Plaza in 2003, the company left over 400,000 square feet (37,000 m2) of space vacant.Around 1995 the building owners added a circle-shaped canopy that is five stories tall, due to a business competitor down the street having a building taller than theirs. Clifford Pugh of the Houston Chronicle wrote that "It was meant to resemble a lantern, but at night the lit open space looks more like a hovering spaceship."

The Bank of the Southwest Tower was a proposed building located in Houston, Texas, at 1,404 ft tall. It would have been the second tallest building in North America after the Willis Tower in Chicago. With an estimated construction cost of $350–400 million, the project was cancelled before construction commenced, due to lack of funds during the economic downturn.The design created by architect Helmut Jahn of Murphy/Jahn, Inc. Architects was the winner of a design competition in 1982.

Eero Saarinen's CBS Building in New York City inspired the design for this building. It was named after Houston mayor Bob Lanier who served between 1992 and 1998. The building is located one block from Houston City Hall and Hermann Square. It is bounded by Louisiana, Rusk, Smith, and Walker Streets.

The hotel, part of the Hyatt hotel chain, was designed by architectural firm JV III ( a joint venture between firms Caudill Rowlett Scott, Neuhaus & Taylor, and Koetter, Tharp & Cowell) and was opened to guests in 1972. At 401 ft (122 m), Hyatt Regency Houston is the city's tallest hotel The hotel is topped by a revolving restaurant known as "Spindletop". The hotel's 29-story atrium, one of the highest in Texas, was featured as a set in the 1976 film Logan's Run.Hyatt Regency Houston was a host hotel for the 1992 Republican National Convention, the 16th G7 Economic Summit in 1990, and the 1998 World Energy Congress. The hotel completed a $40 million renovation in 2008 that included all 947 guestrooms, a redesigned lobby bar, 64,000 square feet (5,900 m2) of meeting space, and the addition of the only Shula's Steakhouse in Texas.

Total Plaza (formerly the Entex Building, Louisiana Place, and United Gas Building) is a tower in Downtown Houston, Texas, one block from the Allen Center complex. The building, managed by Brookfield Properties, opened in 1971. The 35-story building, designed by the architect Lloyd, Morgan & Jones, was renovated in 1981 and 1996, and features a mirror-finished reflective glass on its exterior. Each floor has about 24,000 sq ft (2,200 m2), with a total of 847,200 sq ft (78,710 m2). The building is named after its major tenant, Total Petrochemicals USA, a subsidiary of TotalEnergies SE. The complex was formerly the headquarters of the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO). The building is connected to the Downtown Houston tunnel system.
