Beth Tzedec Congregation

The Holy Blossom Temple is a Reform synagogue located at 1950 Bathurst Street in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is the oldest Jewish congregation in Toronto. Founded in 1856, it has more than 7,000 members. W. Gunther Plaut, who died on 8 February 2012 at the age of 99, was a long time Senior Rabbi for this synagogue. Notable members and supporters include Heather Reisman and Gerald Schwartz who made donations to create the Gerald Schwartz/Heather Reisman Centre for Jewish Learning at Holy Blossom Temple.

Cedarvale Park (originally known as Cedar Vale) is a park located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is bordered by very steep hills, and is located in the Cedarvale neighbourhood of Toronto. The Line 1 Yonge–University subway tunnels underneath it, between St. Clair West and Eglinton West stations; near the Markdale TTC Emergency Exit. The north end of the park contains the Phil White (Cedarvale) Arena and The Leo Baeck Day School, formerly Arlington Middle School. It is commonly used for dog walkers and students returning from the nearby school. The large open fields are heavily used by the community for everything from cricket games to flying kites. In the winter the large hill is used for tobogganing, many people bring their sleds and enjoy riding down the hills. South of the fields, the park angles southeast, and becomes more of a deep, naturalized ravine with steep sides, with a heavily used footpath down the middle. Cedarvale ravine contains very sizable wetlands east of Bathurst Street in Forest Hill; the remainder of the natural portion is young regrowth forest (the ravine was largely clearcut during the construction of the Spadina Subway in the 1970s). The path is heavily used and remains passable even in winter, with foot traffic packing snow down despite the lack of plowing, especially after drainage works in 2006 fixed water pooling and subsequent ice buildup. The park benefits from its proximity to the Beltline trail in the north and the Nordheimer Ravine to the south; these join together to form a large trail system through midtown Toronto. At the south end of the park, right by the St.Clair West subway entrance, there is an outdoor exercise area with pull-up bars, dip bars and benches of various heights. A great place for a street workout, the park was built by Montreal company Trekfit (trekfit.ca), which has several of these pads around the city.

Humewood–Cedarvale is an area of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, consisting of the lower middle class to wealthy Cedarvale in the north and the lower to upper middle class Humewood in the south, divided by Vaughan Road and Cedarvale Ravine. The neighbourhood is bordered by Bathurst Street on the east, Eglinton Avenue to the north, Arlington Avenue to the west, and St. Clair Avenue to the south. Humewood has also been known as "the Woods" because of its many streets that have names ending with "-wood", including Wychwood, Humewood, Cherrywood, Valewood, Maplewood, Wellwood, Kenwood, and Pinewood. The neighbourhood's main commercial areas are along St. Clair Ave. W., referred to as Hillcrest Village and along Eglinton Ave. W..

Forest Hill is an underground light rail transit (LRT) station under construction on Line 5 Eglinton, a new line that is part of the Toronto subway system. It will be located in the Forest Hill neighbourhood at the intersection of Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue. It is scheduled to open in 2022.The station will have two entrances. The main entrance will be at the northeast corner of Eglinton Avenue West and Bathurst Street and will be fully accessible. The secondary entrance will be on the north side of Eglinton about 50 m (160 ft) west of Bathurst Street, opposite Peveril Hill, and will include retail spaces at street level. On-street connections will be available for TTC buses. There will be 60 exterior spaces for bicycles. The secondary entrance building will also house a traction power substation.

Forest Hill Collegiate Institute (FHCI) is a semestered public high school of about 900 students and 55 teachers located in the Forest Hill neighbourhood of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is part of the Toronto District School Board. Prior to 1998, it was within the Toronto Board of Education (TBE).The school takes pride in its wide range of clubs, committees, teams and student spirit.The motto for the school is Non nobis solum ("Not for Ourselves Alone").

Forest Hill is a neighbourhood and former village in Midtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada, located north of Downtown Toronto. The village was amalgamated into Toronto in 1967 and the area has retained its name as a neighbourhood. Along with other neighbourhoods such as Rosedale, and The Bridle Path, it is one of Toronto's wealthiest and most affluent neighbourhoods. It is home to many prominent entrepreneurs, celebrities, engineers, doctors, and lawyers. Census data from Statistics Canada states an average income for all private households in Forest Hill to be $101,631, compared to the $40,704 average income in Toronto's Census Metropolitan Area.

Chaplin is an underground light rail transit (LRT) station under construction on Line 5 Eglinton, a new line that is part of the Toronto subway system. It will be located in the Forest Hill neighbourhood at the intersection of Chaplin Crescent and Eglinton Avenue, and is scheduled to open in 2022.Three entrances are planned for this underground station: a main entry at Gilgorm Road and Eglinton, next to Chaplin Parkette and replacing a retail building; a second entrance on the south side of Eglinton between Chaplin Crescent and the Kay Gardner Beltline Park; and a third, also on the south side, about halfway between Chaplin and Russel Hill road. The TTC 14 Glencairn bus route will connect at this station.Destinations include Forest Hill Collegiate Institute, Forest Hill Library, the Beltline Trail, Memorial Park, and the Forest Hill Memorial Arena.

Vaughan Road is a road in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is a contour collector road that is parallel to a buried creek to the north called Castle Frank Brook. Vaughan Road begins on Bathurst Street south of St. Clair Avenue West, then it becomes a north–south street, hence its address numbering system, then it becomes a northwest–southeast street. Finally, Vaughan Road ends in a dead-end near the intersection of Eglinton Avenue and Dufferin Street. Vaughan Road Academy is named after this road.

Roselawn Avenue Cemetery is a cemetery located in Forest Hill, Toronto.Opened in 1906 by Samuel Weber, Roselawn is one of several Jewish cemeteries in Toronto, and was established to serve the Jewish community outside of the downtown area. The cemetery runs along Roselawn Avenue, and is surrounded by homes that were built around it. The cemetery is associated with Steeles Memorial Chapel.

Eglinton West is a subway station on Line 1 Yonge–University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the median of Allen Road on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West. Line 5 Eglinton will also serve Eglinton West station upon its completion, scheduled for 2022. At that time, Eglinton West will become an interchange station and be renamed Cedarvale. Metrolinx is building the line along Eglinton Avenue from Mount Dennis to Kennedy.

The St. Michael's College School Arena is a 1,600-seat hockey arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was built in 1956 on the campus of St. Michael's College School in central Toronto, and originally was an outdoor rink. A half-cylinder shape wooden roof was finally built over the ice and completed in 1960.The arena was the home to the Toronto St. Michael's Majors of the Ontario Hockey League. The building was originally supposed to serve as a temporary home for the team following the closure of Maple Leaf Gardens in 2000, but the Majors would be at the College Arena until the conclusion of the 2006–07 OHL season. The team relocated to Mississauga, Ontario and the Hershey Centre for the 2007–08 OHL season. The St. Michael's Arena is the home of the St. Michael's Buzzers, a member of the Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League as well as the St. Michael's College School hockey teams.

St. Michael's College School, (also known as St. Michael's, St. Mike's, and SMCS), is an independent, Catholic school for young men in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Administered by the Basilian Fathers, it is the largest school of its kind in Canada, with an enrolment of approximately 950 students from grades 7 to 12. It is known for its high standard of academics and athletics, notably its ice hockey, football and basketball programs. The hockey program has graduated numerous future National Hockey League ice hockey players. The basketball and football programs have graduated multiple NBA, NFL, and CFL players. St. Michael's College School is the affiliate school of Holy Name of Mary College School, an independent, Catholic all-girls school in Mississauga. St. Michael's was part of the Metropolitan Separate School Board from 1967 to 1985, but has subsequently operated within the Conference of Independent Schools of Ontario Athletic Association.
