Ballynafern

Annaclone (from Irish Eanach Luain, meaning 'marsh of the haunch-like hill') is a village and civil parish between Rathfriland and Banbridge in south County Down, Northern Ireland, about 7 km south-east of Banbridge. The village is situated in the townlands of Ardbrin and Tullintanvally and both it and the civil parish are located in the historic barony of Iveagh Upper, Upper Half. It had a population of 150 people (61 households) in the 2011 Census.The geography of Annaclone is typical of much of the area around the Mourne Mountains with rolling drumlins and farmland. Corbet Lough is a particular place of interest for anglers while the highest point of the parish, locally known as 'the Knock' offers panoramic views of the Mourne Mountains towards the south and Slieve Croob towards the north east.

Knock Iveagh (from Irish Cnoc Uíbh Eachach 'hill of Iveagh') is a hill near Rathfriland, County Down, Northern Ireland. It is topped by an ancient burial cairn and was part of a ritual landscape, associated with the Uí Eachach tribe. In the Middle Ages it was the inauguration site of the Magennis chiefs of Iveagh.

Ballynagross (from Irish Baile na gCros, meaning 'townland of the crosses') is a townland of 368 acres (0.58 sq mi) in County Down, Northern Ireland. It is situated in the civil parish of Annaclone and the historic barony of Iveagh Upper, Upper Half.

It is situated in the civil parish of Annaclone and the historic barony of Iveagh Upper, Upper Half. There is a townland of the same name in the civil parish of Clonduff in the historic barony of Iveagh Upper, Lower Half.

Monteith (from Irish Móin Taobh, meaning 'bogside') is a small village in County Down, Northern Ireland. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 126 people. It lies within the Banbridge District area.

Ballysheil (from Irish Baile Uí Shiail, meaning 'O'Sheil's townland') is a townland of 385 acres in County Down, Northern Ireland. It is situated in the civil parish of Annaclone and the historic barony of Iveagh Upper, Upper Half. The area was church land in the 17th century, held along with Aughnacloy by the O'Sheil (Ó Siadhail) family. Although they forfeited the lands in 1658, the townland name continued to include their surname.

The A50 is a road in counties Armagh and Down in Northern Ireland. It starts in the town of Portadown and continues through Gilford, Lawrencetown, Banbridge, Katebridge, Moneyslane, Ballyward and Castlewellan, before arriving in the seaside town of Newcastle on the Irish Sea, located at the foot of Slieve Donard. The road has a graded junction with the main Dublin-Belfast A1 dual carriageway to the southeast of Banbridge. The section between Portadown and Katesbridge vaguely follows the course of the River Bann from its source in the Mourne Mountains, against the current.

Rathfriland Castle (Irish: Caislean Ráth Fraoileann) is a ruined castle at Rathfriland, County Down, Northern Ireland. The castle was a square building of 3–4 storeys with a stone barrel vault at the first floor level to reduce the risk of fire and was one of the seats of the Magennis's, Lords of Iveagh. Most of it was pulled down by Mr. William Hawkins of London, after the rebellion of 1641, and the remainder destroyed by General Henry Ireton on Oliver Cromwell's orders. The castle was mainly built from greywacke and granite. Only the southern wall remains.
