The Ottawa Jewish Community School (or OJCS) is a pluralistic Jewish day school in Ottawa, Ontario. The school was founded as Hillel Academy in 1949, and amalgamated with Yitzhak Rabin High School in 2006. OJCS teaches Hebrew, English and French as part of its curriculum, and runs a Judaics program focusing on Jewish religion, culture and values.

Adath Shalom Congregation of Ottawa is a Canadian Conservative synagogue located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It has been egalitarian and lay-led since 1978. It is affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. All Adath Shalom members - men, women and teenagers - lead the services as well as weekly discussion of the Torah portion.

Notre Dame High School is a Catholic intermediate school and high school in Ottawa's west operated by the Ottawa Catholic School Board. The school is one of the first in the area to use a uniform. The school is mainly two storeys throughout, except for the northeast corner where it features a basement in which the classrooms are almost exclusively for mathematics. It has an auditorium. It used to feature a single gymnasium in the centre of the school, but an extra one was built and opened in 2002–2003. Sports teams play under the moniker/nickname "Notre Dame Eagles" (formerly the Notre Dame Silver Eagles). The present site at 710 Broadview was once the site of Highland Park Technical School. Notre Dame High School moved into the 710 Broadview site during the mid-1990s, from their old site on the north west corner of the Holland Ave-Queensway intersection. That site is now Fisher Park Public School. The high school operates on a standard semestered system for grades 7-12. Grade 7-8 students take their classes in a separate wing of the school.

Carlington Park is a large park in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It contains one of Ottawa's largest hills. It is a City of Ottawa owned and operated park. Located in Carlington, a neighbourhood in the west end of Ottawa, it is bordered by McBride, Morriset, Clyde, and Laperriere street. Its official address is 1640 Laperriere Ave, Ottawa, ON, however the address of Carlington Hill is 1599 Morisset Ave, Ottawa, ON.Most of the park is an Urban Environmental Protection Zone, declared by the City of Ottawa in 2005.

Highland Park is a sub-neighbourhood of Westboro, in the Kitchissippi Ward in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located between Carling Avenue and Richmond Road, Churchill Avenue and Denbury Ave. It is a mixed-income neighbourhood, with some large luxury homes closer to Richmond Road, middle-income homes built in the last two centuries, and a large number of lower-income low-rise apartment buildings closer to Carling Avenue. The population of the neighbourhood according to the Canada 2011 Census was 4,070.Nepean High School and Notre Dame High School are prominent parts of the community, as is the Westboro Kiwanis Park, which has a tennis court, wading pool, and field which can be used for football or soccer. Dovercourt Recreation Center features meeting halls and a swimming pool. The Highland Park area is part of the Ottawa Centre riding federally, which is currently held by Liberal MP Yasir Naqvi. Highland Park is also part of the Ottawa Centre riding provincially.

Nepean High School (often abbreviated to NHS) is a high school in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the Westboro neighbourhood, at 574 Broadview Avenue. There were 1160 students enrolled for 2011–2012. Alan Johnson is the current principal replacing Kristy MacNamara, the principal from 2018 to 2019. The two current vice principals are Christy Armstrong and Peter Campbell.

Westminster Presbyterian Church is a member of the Presbyterian Church in Canada located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is situated on the west side of Roosevelt Avenue in the Westboro neighbourhood of Ottawa.

Young Israel of Ottawa is an Orthodox synagogue located in Westboro, a suburb of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is a warm and close-knit congregation that provides a full array of religious services, adult classes and family programming open to all Jews in Ottawa.

Central Park (French: Parc Central) is a neighbourhood in River Ward in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded on the east by Merivale Road, on the south by Baseline Road, on the west by Clyde Avenue and on the north by the Carlington neighbourhood. The population of the neighbourhood in 2016 was 3,888 in an area of 0.91 km2. It more than doubled its population between 2001 and 2006 as the neighbourhood expanded. Excluding the residences south of Baseline which are included in the Census Tract, the population of the neighbourhood is 3,760.The neighbourhood is fairly new, having been built in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Before Central Park was built, the land was originally part of the Central Experimental Farm until the Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton bought it in 1987. The community used to be a wooded area. Ashcroft Homes bought the area from the region in 1996. Central Park is known for its New York City themed street names. The name of the neighbourhood itself is taken from Central Park.

Byron Linear Tramway Park is a municipal park in Kitchissippi Ward and Bay Ward in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The park forms a narrow strip of park land that runs westward from Holland Avenue to Richardson Avenue in Woodpark, with the exception of Westboro Village (between Churchill and Golden Avenues). Running through the entirety of the park is a path through grass and trees. The park forms a narrow 2.5 km strip, but has a width varies between 5 and 15 metres. Much of the park was once a railway right-of-way. The western section of the park forms the southern edge of Richmond Road and forms the complete area between Richmond road and Byron Avenue. Its path is winding and mostly tree lined. Seats and bus shelters exist in most city blocks. Parking is allowed along the section of Byron avenue from Golden west to Woodroffe Avenue, but not on other sections. The eastern section forms the north side of Byron Avenue, but does not extend to Richmond Road. This section is also approximately 2.5 km long, but narrower in width. A War Memorial, commemorating the dead of Westboro, is on the Strip, visible from Richmond road, near Golden. The park is colloquially known as the "Byron Strip". The City of Ottawa is currently building a cut-and-cover subway tunnel along a 1.3 km stretch between Cleary and Richardson avenues as part of the western extension of the Confederation O-Train Line. This stretch will include two open trench stations at Sherbourne and New Orchard.

Bridgehead is a fair trade coffeehouse, coffee retailer, and coffee roaster chain based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. In addition to coffee and organic teas, it sells soups, salads, sandwiches and snacks made in its own kitchen. In November 2006, Bridgehead was voted Ottawa's "Best Coffee/Tea House" by readers of lifestyle weekly Ottawa XPress.

Glabar Park is a neighbourhood in Bay Ward, in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded on the west by Woodroffe Avenue north by Carling Avenue, south by The Queensway and on the east by Maitland Avenue. The population at the 2011 census was about 2,806.Most of the neighbourhood was built in the 1950s. The first part of the neighbourhood was built in 1950 in the area around Hare Avenue (surrounding the eponymous Glabar Park) by the F. J. Shouldice Construction Company and sold by the Brownlee & McKeown Realtors. Further development in the neighbourhood was done by Teron Construction and subdivided by J. P. Chenier Ltd. In 1985 townhouses on Esterlawn Private were built which is off Fairlawn Avenue just behind Fairlawn Centre. Today a few houses on Carling Avenue have demolished and turned into low-rise apartments. The neighbourhood is home to D. Roy Kennedy Public School, St Paul's Presbyterian Church, and the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Ottawa. It is home to two parks, Kingsmere Park and Lorry Greenberg Park. Kingsmere Park is the park with more of a social setting, it features a large wading pool in the summer, and a double-sized hockey and skating rink in the winter. These amenities are provided by the City of Ottawa. Fairlawn Mall is on Carling Avenue across from Carlingwood.
