Santi Vittore e Carlo is a Baroque style church on Via Balbi in central Genoa, Italy. Originally belonging to the Discalced Carmelite Order, the church was constructed in the shape of a Latin Cross between 1629 and 1635 from a design by Bartolomeo Bianco. Designs by Eugenio Durazzo were incorporated in 1743 with the construction of a façade. Inside the church are a number of works of 17th- and 18th-century artists, including the wooden sculptures Madonna of the Carmine (Alessandro Algardi, 1678) and Angels and Saints (Filippo Parodi, 1680) and paintings by Andrea Carlone (Saint Teresa), Lorenzo De Ferrari (Saints Anne and Young John the Baptist, Francesco di Paola and Liborio), Orazio De Ferrari (Nativity, Adoration of the Magi), Giovanni Maria delle Piane (Decapitation of Sant'Agostino) and Domenico Piola (Saint John of the Cross). The main altar is the remnant of a destroyed church of San Domenico. Domenico Parodi painted the figure of "Virtue", but many of the decorations were overseen by Maurice Dufour in the last decade of the 19th century, 1890–1898.

The Palazzo Reale (Royal Palace) or Palazzo Stefano Balbi is a major palace in Genoa.

Via Balbi is a street in the historical centre of Genoa, in Northwestern Italy, named after the aristocratic Genoese Balbi family. It is one of the Strade Nuove (Italian for "new streets") built by the Genoese aristocracy during the Renaissance. Since July 2006 it is inscribed in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site Genoa: the Strade Nuove and the system of the Palazzi dei Rolli.

San Sisto is a Roman Catholic church in Genoa, Italy located in Centro-Est quartiere of Prè, near the railway station of Genova Piazza Principe.

The palazzo Francesco Maria Balbi Piovera' is a building located in via Balbi at number 6 in the historical centre of Genoa, included on 13 July 2006 in the list of the 42 palaces inscribed in the Rolli di Genova that became World Heritage by UNESCO on that date. The building, also known by the name of palazzo Raggio from the name of the armor who purchased it in the 19th century, is today the seat of the Faculty of Letters of the University of Genoa.

Palazzo Durazzo-Pallavicini or Palazzo di Gio Agostino Balbi is a building on Via Balbi in the historic city centre of Genoa. On 13 July 2006 it became one of 42 palazzi included in the new Palazzi dei Rolli World Heritage Site.

Darsena is a Genoa Metro station, located on Via Antonio Gramsci close to Piazza della Darsena, in Genoa, Italy. Darsena translates to dock in English. The station serves the old port area of the city. The station has a very large, bright mezzanine. There are two exits: one is in the northerly sidewalk, the other is towards the quayside, under the elevated Strada Aldo Moro. The station officially opened on 25 July 2003 but functional operation began on 7 August.

The Galata - Museo del mare is a maritime museum in the Italian city of Genoa. It is the largest museum of its kind in the Mediterranean area and also one of the most modern in Italy. The museum is located on the grounds of the Porto Antico, in the Palazzo Galata (named after the ancient colony of Galata) in the Darsena district, where galleys were built in the Republic of Genoa era. It is close to downtown Genoa, the Port of Genoa, and within walking distance of Genova Principe train station and Darsena metro stop. It opened in 2004 as part of Genoa's 2004 European Capital of Culture celebration.

The Archaeological Museum of Savona (Museo storico archeologico di Savona) is located in Palazzo della Loggia inside the Priamar Fortress. It presents the history of the Priamar promontory and the town of Savona. On the exposition are old collections of objects from around the Mediterranean and artifacts from the 20th century excavations of the fortress and its surrounding (especially ceramic products of the region). The museum has two floors and inside it is possible to see original excavation pits.

The Basilica della Santissima Annunziata del Vastato is the Catholic cathedral of Genoa, northern Italy; its decoration employed the major baroque studios and artists in Genoa in the 17th century. It is named Vastato because the area where it was built was outside the walls of the city, in an area where houses had been demolished (devastated) for defensive reasons. In Latin, vastinium referred to a safety belt within the protective bastions.

Ascensore Castello d'Albertis-Montegalletto (the Albertis Castle – Montegalletto lift) is a combined funicular and lift in Genoa, Italy. It connects via Balbi, near Genova Piazza Principe railway station, to corso Dogali near Albertis Castle, home of the Museo delle Culture del Mondo (Museum of World Cultures). It is run by AMT Genova.
