Collier House (University of Oregon)

Johnson Hall, located in Eugene, Oregon, is the main administration building of the University of Oregon. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The building was constructed in 1914–1915 from plans submitted by Oregon State Architect William C. Knighton in the American Renaissance style. The building's name was changed in 1918 to honor John Wesley Johnson, the first president of the university.

The University of Oregon (UO, U of O or Oregon) is a public research university in Eugene, Oregon. Founded in 1876, the university also has two Portland locations, and manages a marine station, called the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology, in Charleston; and an observatory, called Pine Mountain Observatory, in Central Oregon. The University of Oregon is organized into nine colleges and schools and offers 316 undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Most academic programs follow the 10 week Quarter System. The university is classified among "R1: Doctoral Universities – Very high research activity" and is a member of the Association of American Universities. Since July 2014, UO has been governed by its own board of trustees. UO's 295-acre campus is situated along the Willamette River. UO student athletes compete as the Ducks and are part of the Pac-12 Conference in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). With eighteen varsity teams, the Oregon Ducks are best known for their football team and track and field program. These two teams are even incorporated into the design of the school's "O" logo. In the summer of 2022, UO hosted the 2022 World Athletics Championships. It was the first time the event was held in the United States. UO's colors are green and yellow.The university has a long and complex relationship with Nike, Inc., and the firm's co-founder Phil Knight. As a consequence of state higher-education disinvestment starting in the 1990s, UO has embraced a "University of Nike" image. Fueled by large investments in athletic infrastructure, this trend has accelerated in recent years. Knight, an alumnus, has advocated for both athletic prominence and increased privatisation of the university, and has donated over $1 billion to UO since the late-1980s, much of it going towards athletics. The school's "O" logo was designed by Nike in 1998 and sports facility projects on campus typically involve both Knight and Nike.

Friendly Hall, built in 1893, is a three-story, red-brick masonry building located on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon, United States.

The Pioneer Mother is a sculpture formerly located on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon. Burt Barker donated the six-foot-tall bronze sculpture, created by artist Alexander Phimister Proctor, to the university. Barker's daughter, Barbara Barker, introduced the sculpture to a public gathering of hundreds on May 7, 1932, during Junior Week and Mother's Day festivities.

The Pioneer is a thirteen-foot-tall bronze sculpture formerly located on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon, United States. It was the artistic work of Alexander Phimister Proctor, commissioned by Joseph Nathan Teal, a Portland attorney. A ceremony celebrated its unveiling on May 22, 1919. It included attendance from persons all across the state, the majority of enrolled students, and a special section of the crowd was reserved for the remaining settlers. T. G. Hendricks and his granddaughter removed the canvas cover, unveiling the statue. As of June 13, 2020, the statue is no longer standing on the University of Oregon campus.

Reflections of a Summer Day is an outdoor 1974 painted steel sculpture by Duane Loppnow, installed near the entrance to the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon, in the United States. The sculpture was given to the University of Oregon by the sculptor, a graduate of the university.The abstract (geometric) sculpture measures approximately 6.5 feet (2.0 m) x 4 feet (1.2 m) x 4 feet (1.2 m) and rests on a base that measures approximately 1.5 feet (0.46 m) x 1 foot (0.30 m) x 2 feet (0.61 m). Its condition was deemed "treatment needed" when the Smithsonian Institution surveyed the work as part of its "Save Outdoor Sculpture!" program in 1994.

Gerlinger Hall is a historic building on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon as part of the Women's Memorial Quadrangle. For the first time, enough women were attending the University that they could occupy their own full quadrangle.

According to Beasley, the work's base blocks represent the institution's "foundation – the faculty, library, and research facilities", while its upper blocks symbolize university "activities – learning, questioning, and exposure to arts and ideas". It was funded by the 1% for Art program.

Flying Ducks is a 1970 or 1983 sculpture by Tom Hardy, installed on the west façade of Lawrence Hall, on the University of Oregon campus, in Eugene, Oregon, United States.
