Sestriere (Italian pronunciation: [se'strjɛre], Occitan: Sestrieras, Piedmontese: Ël Sestrier, French: Sestrières) is a ski resort in Piedmont, Italy, a comune (municipality) of the Metropolitan City of Turin. It is situated in Val Susa, 17 km (11 mi) from the French border. Its name derives from Latin: ad petram sistrariam, that is at sixty Roman miles from Turin.

Pista Gianni A. Agnelli is the World Cup technical ski course on Monte Alpette mountain in Sestriere, Italy. The course which was named after Giovanni Alberto Agnelli, an Italian businessman and member of the Agnelli family, an Italian industrial dynasty associated with Fiat S.p.A.; debuted in World Cup in 1990. Both slalom and combined were held on this course at World Championships (1997) and Olympics (2006).

Colle Sestriere, Col de Sestriere, is a mountain pass in the Cottian Alps. It is occupied by the town of Sestriere in the Province of Turin, Italy. It is 17 km (11 mi) from the French border. Its name derives from Latin: ad petram sistrariam, that is at sixty Roman miles from Turin. It is a famous starting and arrival point in the Tour de France (7 appearances, 1952–1999) and the Giro d'Italia (4 appearances, 1991–1911). In 1952, Fausto Coppi was the first to record a stage win at Sestriere, while Charly Gaul is credited with the first crossing in 1956. Notably, it was the scene of a definitive moment in Lance Armstrong's career when he rode away from the field in a breakaway uphill finish to take the stage in the 1999 Tour de France, which was the first of his seven championships in that race. He has since been stripped of the titles.

Bric Ghinivert or Eiminàl (3,037 m a.s.l.) is a mountain of the Cottian Alps located in Italy.

It's the highest peak of the long stretch of the Po/Rhone water divide starting from the Aiguille de Scolette (north) and ending with the Monviso group (south).

Monte Albergian is a 3,041 m a.s.l. mountain of the Cottian Alps, located in Italy. A battalion of 3rd Alpini Regiment, which during World War I earned a Silver Medal of Military Valor, was named after Monte Albergian.

Stadio del Trampolino is a ski jumping hill located in Pragelato, Italy. During the 2006 Winter Olympics, it hosted the ski jumping and the ski jumping part of the Nordic combined events. It also hosted FIS Ski Jumping World Cup events in the 2004–05 and 2008–09 seasons.

The Via Lattea (italian for Milky Way) is a winter sports area in the Italian and French Alps, straddling the French-Italian border at Claviere/Montgenèvre. Located some 70 km (44 miles) west of Turin, it comprises the five Piedmontese resorts of Claviere (1760m), Sansicario (1700m), Sauze d'Oulx (1509m), Pragelato (1524m) and Sestriere (2035m) and additionally the French resort Montgenèvre (1860m). Altogether there are more than 400 km (250 miles) of skiable pistes, 120 of them with artificial snow, and 70 lifts. The lowest lift begins at 1370m in the service village of Cesana Torinese; the highest point is Mont Motta in the Sestriere ski area, at 2800m. Claviere and Montgenèvre are connected by skiing and ski lifts. The 2006 Winter Olympics had the alpine ski events in the Via Lattea , on Sestriere and Sansicario slopes and most other snow events and bobsleigh nearby.

Monte Politri or Bric Rosso is a 3,026 m a.s.l. mountain of the Cottian Alps, located in Italy.

Rhuilles is a frazione of the Italian comune of Cesana Torinese (province of Turin), located at 1,675 metres above sea level in the Val Thuras (upper Val di Susa). It is a tiny Alpine hamlet (pop. 4 in 2006) with characteristic grange (ancient agricultural baite in wood and stone). An old communal stone bread oven is to be found and a seventeenth-century chapel with a well-preserved wooden altarpiece.

The Gran Queyron (in Italian) or Grand Queyron (in French) is a 3,060 metres high mountain of the Cottian Alps.

Prali is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Turin in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) southwest of Turin, on the border with France. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 322 and an area of 72.6 square kilometres (28.0 sq mi).Prali borders the following municipalities: Abriès (France), Angrogna, Bobbio Pellice, Perrero, Pragelato, Salza di Pinerolo, Sauze di Cesana, and Villar Pellice.
