Viby, Roskilde Municipality

Ramsø was a municipality (Danish kommune) in the former Roskilde County on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in east Denmark until 1 January 2007. The municipality covered an area of 76 km2 (29 sq mi) and had a total population in 2005 of 9,320. Its last mayor was Poul Lindor Nielsen, a member of the Social Democrats (Socialdemokraterne) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was Viby. Other towns and villages in the municipality were Gadstrup, Skalstrup, Snoldelev and Ørsted. The municipality was created in 1970 due to a kommunalreform ("municipality reform") that combined existing parishes: Dåstrup Parish Gadstrup Parish Snoldelev Parish Syv Parish Ørsted ParishRamsø municipality ceased to exist as the result of the Kommunalreformen ("Municipality Reform") of 2007. It was merged with the existing Gundsø and Roskilde municipalities to form the new Roskilde Municipality, with an area of 212 km2 (82 sq mi) and a total population in 2015 of 79,441. The new municipality belongs to Region Sjælland ("Zealand Region").

Vibygård is a manor house located in the northeastern outskirts of Viby, Roskilde Municipality, some 30 km west of Copenhagen, Denmark. The estate covers 833 hectares of land and comprises the farms Slåenkær, Ørstedgård, Arnakke og Drags-Møllegård

Øm is a village with a population of 451 (1 January 2022) in Lejre Municipality, located six kilometers southwest of Roskilde on the island of Zealand in Denmark.

Osted is a town with a population of 2,204 (1 January 2022) in Lejre Municipality, Region Zealand, Denmark. The town is located at the road between the cities of Roskilde and Ringsted.

Lejre Municipality is a municipality in Region Zealand. The current municipality was established on 1 January 2007 as a result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipal Reform" of 2007), merging the former Lejre Municipality with Bramsnæs Municipality and Hvalsø Municipality to form a new Lejre Municipality. 28 September 2016 Carsten Rasmussen took over as mayor from Mette Touborg, who was leaving for a new job. She had been the mayor since 1 January 2010. She was the only one from the left wing Socialist People's Party to hold the highest political position in a municipality, whereas he is from the Social Democrats. Local companies include the chocolate manufacturer Friis-Holm.

Lejre is a railway town, with a population of 3,127 (1 January 2022), in Lejre Municipality (Danish: Lejre Kommune) on the island of Zealand in east Denmark. It belongs to Region Zealand. The town's Old Norse name was Hleiðr or Hleiðargarðr.

Risbyholm is a manor house located in Roskilde Municipality, near Havdrup, some 30 km southwest of Copenhagen, Denmark. The estate covers 528 hectares and comprises the farms Solrødgård, Ørnesæde and Klarkærgård.

Gadstrup is a railway town located on the Lille Syd railway between Roskilde and Køge, in Roskilde Municipality, some 20 km southwest of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Lejre Stadion is a football stadium that belongs to Danish Association football club FC Lejre. Lejre Stadion has a capacity of 5,300 and was built in 1989. The match with the highest attendance was in 2008, when 4,908 spectators saw the match between FC Lejre and FC Nordsjælland.

Svogerslev is a small satellite town located four kilometres west of Roskilde, Denmark. The original village features a village pond, a Romanesque church, one of the smallest in Denmark, and a number of old farm buildings. The historic centre is surrounded by large developments of single family detached homes. As of 1 January 2023, it had a population of 4,362.

Ejby is a village in Køge Municipality, with a population of 3,098 (1 January 2022), on the Danish island of Zealand. The village is located about 8 kilometres/5 miles west of the town of Køge. Since the 1960s, when Ejby was a small village with a population of only a few hundreds, the village has grown rapidly and is now surrounded by residential areas of single-family detached homes and terraced houses. The first privately run kindergarten in Denmark, Gemsevejens Kindergarten (Danish: Gemsevejens Børnehus), which was outsourced to ISS A/S in 1998, is located in Ejby. Today the kindergarten is operated by the TitiBo group. Ejby church, a typical Danish village church from the 12th century, is located on the western outskirts of the old original village.

Hyrdehøj is a district in the southwest of Roskilde on the Danish island of Zealand. It was established in 2002 and has since been gradually expanded. The name comes from the nearby Hyrdehøj Forest, as well as the burial mound of Hyrdehøj.
