West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South, commonly referred to locally as South, is a four-year comprehensive public high school located in the Princeton Junction section of West Windsor in Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, serving students in ninth through twelfth grades. The school is part of the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District, a regional school district serving students from West Windsor and from Plainsboro Township (in Middlesex County). It is one of two high schools in the district, the other being West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North. Students at High School South outperform other students in New Jersey on academic performance and college admissions tests. New Jersey students score on average 1080/1600 on the SAT, whereas High School South students score on average 1351/1600. The school offers several honors and Advanced Placement (AP) courses in various subject areas. The school determines both unweighted and weighted GPAs for students and does not rank students with the exception of the top five in every graduating class.

West Windsor is a township in Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Located within the Raritan Valley region, the township is an outer-ring suburb of New York City in the New York metropolitan area, as defined by the United States Census Bureau. Based on data from the American Community Survey for 2013–2017, West Windsor residents had a median household income of $175,684, ranked 4th in the state among municipalities with more than 10,000 residents, more than double the statewide median of $76,475.

Penns Neck was a railway station of the Pennsylvania Railroad, in the Penns Neck neighborhood of West Windsor Township, New Jersey. It opened sometime between 1865 and 1875 as an intermediate stop on the newly completed Princeton Branch line, near its midpoint where it crossed the turnpike that is now U.S. Route 1. The location was originally a grade crossing and later a rail bridge.Penn Central Transportation took over operations in 1968 and discontinued the little-used station on January 31, 1971. The branch line still provides frequent service between Princeton station (on the Princeton University campus) and Princeton Junction (on the Northeast Corridor), as part of NJ Transit Rail Operations.

Built in 1812, the church was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 28, 1989, for its significance in architecture, exploration/settlement, and religion.
