The Bal Mabille, also known as Jardin Mabille and Mabille Gardens in English, was a fashionable open-air dance establishment on what is now Avenue Montaigne in Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Paris, extending from 49 to 53 in the modern street numbering. It was opened in 1831, when the area was still largely rural, was struck by shells during the siege of Paris in 1870–71, and closed in 1875. Both the polka and the can-can were reportedly introduced there.

The Armenian Apostolic Cathedral in Paris is located at 15 Rue Jean-Goujon in the 8th arrondissement of Paris and is dedicated to John the Baptist. Designed by Albert Guilbert, it was constructed between 5 October 1902 and 1904.The cathedral was first called for by an Armenian newspaper in Constantinople in 1902, and the call was heeded by the Baku-based oil magnate Alexandre Mantashyants, who acquired the land for 450,000 French francs. The entire project cost 1.54 million francs.A requiem in honor of Charles Aznavour was held at the cathedral on 6 October 2018.

Studio Harcourt is a photography studio founded in 1933 by Cosette Harcourt at 11, rue Christophe-Colomb in Paris. In 1934, she joined forces with the Lacroix brothers, press bosses and Robert Ricci, son of Nina Ricci to found the Harcourt studio. It is known in particular for its black-and-white photographs of movie stars and celebrities, but having one's photo taken at Harcourt a few times during one's life was once considered standard by the French upper middle class. The studio is currently located at 6, rue de Lota in the 16th arrondisment of Paris.

The Maison pompéienne ("Pompeian house"), sometimes called the Palais pompéien ("Pompeian palace") was the hôtel particulier of Prince Jérôme Napoléon in Paris in the style of the Villa of Diomedes in Pompeii. It was located at 16-18 Avenue Montaigne from 1860 to 1891. It was built in 1856-1860 on the former site of the Pavillon des Beaux-Arts of the Exposition Universelle of 1855. As president of the Exposition, Jérôme had bought the land for it. The architects included Jacques-Ignace Hittorff, Auguste Rougévin, and finally Alfred-Nicolas Normand. Camille-Auguste Gastine created the decorative schemes in Pompeian style. Its interior paintings included works by Sébastien Cournu and Jean-Léon Gérôme. It is considered a good example of Neo-Grec style.When Jérôme went into exile, he sold it to investors, who opened it to the public during the Exposition Universelle of 1867. It was abandoned during the Siege of 1871 and was in poor condition by 1889. It was demolished in 1891, and the Hôtel Porgès built on the site.

The Palais de la Découverte ("Discovery Palace") is a science museum located in the Grand Palais, in the 8th arrondissement on Avenue Franklin D. Roosevelt, Paris, France. It is open daily except Monday; an admission fee is charged. The museum was created in 1937 by Jean Baptiste Perrin (awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics, 1926) during an international exhibition on "Arts and techniques in modern life". In 1938 the French government decided to convert the facility into a new museum, which now occupies 25,000 square metres within the west wing of the Grand Palais (Palais d'Antin) built for the Exposition Universelle (1900) to designs by architect Albert-Félix-Théophile Thomas. In January 2010 the museum was merged with the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie under one institution is named universcience with two locations. Today the museum contains permanent exhibits for mathematics, physics, astronomy, chemistry, geology, and biology, featuring interactive experiments with commentaries by lecturers. It includes a Zeiss planetarium with 15-metre dome.
