San Nicasio (Madrid Metro)

Leganés Central ([leɣaˈnes θenˈtɾal], "Central Leganés") is a station on Line 12 of the Madrid Metro. It is located in fare Zone B1. The station offers connection to Cercanías Madrid via Leganés railway station.

Leganés (Spanish pronunciation: [leɣaˈnes]) is a city in the Community of Madrid, Spain. Considered part of the Madrid metropolitan area, it is located about 11 km southwest of the centre of Madrid. As of 2018, it has a population of 188,425, making it the region's fifth most populated municipality. It covers an area of 43.09 km2 and it is located at 667 m over sea level.Leganés houses a branch of the Universidad Carlos III. It is connected to Madrid via the Cercanías (train, line C5), and Metrosur, one of the lines of Metro. Leganés has 6 Metrosur stations. On 3 April 2004 five of the suspects in the 11 March 2004 Madrid attacks blew themselves up in an apartment building in the city as police moved in to arrest them. All five were killed, along with one GEO police officer.

The Estadio Municipal de Butarque is a multi-use stadium located in Leganés, Spain. It is currently used for football matches and is the home stadium of CD Leganés.

Julián Besteiro [xuˈljam besˈtejɾo] is a station on Line 12 of the Madrid Metro, located next to the Civic Center Julián Besteiro in Leganés, which is named for the socialist politician Julián Besteiro (1870–1940). It is located in fare Zone B1.

Line 12, also known as MetroSur (Spanish for "MetroSouth"), is a line of the Madrid Metro inaugurated on 11 April 2003. Line 12 is a circle line that is not in the city of Madrid, but links five suburban towns southwest of the city, serving around one million people. The towns linked by Line 12 are Alcorcón, Leganés, Getafe, Fuenlabrada and Móstoles. Despite parts of the line running through uninhabited territory, there are no above-ground sections in an effort to facilitate future urban development. At a total length of 40.6 km (25.2 mi), it is the longest line in the network and even more extensive than Lines 9 and 10 with their appendages to the north and south. Despite this, Line 12 accumulated only about 32 million trips in 2018, down from 34.8 million in the previous year, making it the only line to lose users in that time and the third least used after the yet-to-be-completed Line 11 and the airport connection Line 8. This decrease was mainly caused by renovation works necessitating the temporary closure of sections of the line.The line only interchanges with the rest of the Madrid Metro at one station, with a connection to Line 10 at Puerta del Sur.

Joaquín Vilumbrales [xoaˈkim bilumˈbɾales] is a station on Line 10 of the Madrid Metro, named for the nearby Biblioteca Municipal Joaquin Vilumbrales, a library named in turn for the politician Joaquín Vilumbrales (1941–1999). It is located in fare Zone B1.

Madrid–Cuatro Vientos Airport (ICAO: LECU), also known as Cuatro Vientos Airport, is the oldest airport in Spain, established in 1911 and one of the three civil airports of Madrid along with Madrid–Barajas and Madrid–Torrejón Airport. The airport is located 8 km (5.0 mi) southwest of the city centre. The name "Cuatro Vientos" translates into English as "Four Winds." Cuatro Vientos was originally an air base, which later became also a civil airport. Thus, there is a military section located on a separate apron of the airport, opposite to the civil one. It is also used as the Madrid base for aircraft of the Spanish Police, as well as for the road traffic surveillance helicopters.
