St. Joseph's Boys' School (informally Boys' School or SJBS) is a boys' school up to matriculation (tenth grade) and a co-educational school in its higher secondary level (equivalent to A Level) in Jalandhar city of Punjab, India. Founded in 1973 with the initiative of Symphorian Thomas Keeprath, Bishop of Jalandhar, the school imparts primary, secondary and higher secondary education. Apart from this, the school conducts Kindergarten classes. The school has 12 grades plus two Kindergarten and one nursery grade summing up to 15 grades. The tenth grade is equivalent to the final year of higher education. The curriculum is based on the instructions and rules laid down by the ICSE and HSC for the secondary and higher secondary levels respectively. The Boys' school is affiliated to ICSE, New Delhi. The examinations conducted are recognized by the Government of India through an act of Parliament. The sisters of the congregation of the Sacred Heart run this school under the management of the Diocese of Jalandhar. The Diocesan Board of Education, Jalandhar supervises its education policies.

The pioneer in women education and women liberation in India, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (The Heritage Autonomous Institution) is mentioned in the book Arya Dharam by an American scholar Kenneth W. Jones. The only college under GNDU to bag Kaushal Kendra (Skill Development Center) awarded by UGC, MHRD Government of India with five B.Voc Courses. The first college in the region to have a Student Exchange Programme which enables KMV undergraduate students shift their grades to Lesley and Chatham University, USA, after first year, to continue their degree.

Jalandhar Cantonment is a cantonment town in Jalandhar District in the Indian state of Punjab. The Cantonment is located between latitude 30° 18' and longitude 75° 37' on the southwest and at a distance of 2 km from Cantonment Railway Station and 5 km from City Railway Station. It is situated beside Grand Trunk Road at a distance of 89 km from Amritsar and 371 km from Delhi. It covers an area of 5.87 square miles (15.2 km2). It is on Amritsar-Delhi Broad Gauge Main Line. A Class-I airfield at Adampur is situated at a distance of 19 km. The airfield is linked with Jalandhar Cantonment by rail and road. It has a Recruiting Office responsible for enlisting the soldiers for Army, Navy and Air Force. The first Recruiting Officer who held this post until 1952 was Col. Dilbagh Singh Minhas of Jallandhar Doab. It has very beautiful parks for the public. It has many plant nurseries selling a variety of beautiful plants. It also hosts a flower show every year.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Jalandhar / Jullundur (Latin: Iullunduren(sis)) is a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church, located in the city of Jalandhar in the ecclesiastical province of Delhi in India.

St. Mary's Cathedral in Jalandhar, Punjab, India, is the seat of the bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Jalandhar. The cathedral is located in the Jalandhar Cantonment. The old church at the same site was dedicated to St. Patrick and was constructed by Rev. Fr. John Mc Donnel, OFMCap of the Vicariate Apostolic of Agra in 1847. Initially, the area was under the Diocese of Lahore. In 1952, after the partition, the Catholic Mission of the Indian state of Punjab was raised to the status of apostolic prefecture with its headquarters was located at Jalandhar and was handed over from the Belgian province of the Capuchin missionaries to the British province. The church at Jalandhar cantonment became the mother church of Punjab. With the erection of the new Diocese of Jalandhar in 1971, this church gained the status of cathedral of the diocese. In 1987, the demolition of the old church was initiated and the foundation stone that had been blessed by Pope John Paul II for the new church was laid on 19 April 1987 by Rt. Rev. Dr. Symbhorian Keeprath, bishop of Jalandhar. The new cathedral was inaugurated on Diwali, 29 October 1989.
