Dora I

The Regional State Archives in Trondheim (Norwegian: Statsarkivet i Trondheim) is a regional division of the National Archival Services of Norway and is the regional archive for state institutions in Møre og Romsdal, Sør-Trøndelag, Nord-Trøndelag and Nordland. The State Archives in Trondheim was established in 1850 and is the oldest national archive in Scandinavia. Since autumn 2006, it is located together with two other archives, a library and a museum in the Archive Centre at Dora 1, a World War II U-boat facility. The institutions collaborate in many respects, and among other things share a reading room. The state archives is tasked with maintaining and making available archival materials from the local and regional administrations. In addition, the archive accepts and stores private archives. It supervises the archivists in public agencies within its district, and in that connection assists public administrative entities with advice and guidance. It also works to foster interest in and spread awareness of the archives. The State Archives in Trondheim maintains approximately 25,000 metres of shelved materials, which may be used in the reading room at the archive centre. The most used material in the state archives is also accessible through the National Archival Services' Digital Archive.

Svartlamon is an alternative district that describes itself as "a gathering of houses in a little place called Lademoen north east of the center of Trondheim, a city in Norway". Most of the houses were built at the end of the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th century. Svartlamon is a result of many years of political struggle.Svartlamon shares characteristics with a number of anarchist, communist and socialist communities in Scandinavia, such as Blitz and Hausmania in Oslo.

Dora II (Dora 2) is an unfinished German submarine base and submarine pen or bunker in Trondheim, Norway, which is next to Dora I (Dora 1). Construction of the bunker (designated by the Germans as DORA II) was undertaken during the Second World War, but the complex was never finished unlike Dora I. Trondheim was traditionally referred to as Drontheim in German, and the name DORA is the letter "D" in the German phonetic alphabet.

Lilleby is a railway station on Nordland Line located in Trondheim, Norway serving the area of Lademoen. The station is serviced by the Trøndelag Commuter Rail operated by SJ Norge. In 2006 the station changed its name from Lademoen so the Lademoen name could be used for the new station Lademoen located at Nedre Elvehavn. Lilleby was opened in 1967 and is 1.77 km from Trondheim Central Station. Lademoen is primarily a residential area.

The Lade Line (Norwegian: Ladelinjen) was a tramway between Munkegata and Lade in Trondheim, Norway. The first part of the line was opened in 1901, but not expanded to Lade until 1958. The line was operated by Trondheim Sporvei and Trondheim Trafikkselskap until it was abandoned in 1988.

Lademoen is a neighborhood in the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is situated the borough of Østbyen, about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) east of Midtbyen, the city centre of Trondheim. Lademoen was incorporated into the city of Trondheim in 1893. The neighborhood is the site of Lademoen Church (Lademoen kirke). The area is served by the Trøndelag Commuter Rail (Trønderbanen) with access at Lilleby Station. All buses east of town stop at Lademoen. Between 1893 and 1988 the Trondheim Tramway had a tram route from the city centre to Lademoen, which was expanded to Lade in 1958.

Lademoen or Lademoen/Nedre Elvehavn is a railway station on the Nordland Line at Nedre Elvehavn in Trondheim, Norway. The station was opened on 7 January 2007 and is served by the local trains Trøndelag Commuter Rail by SJ Norge. It is located 0.94 km from Trondheim Central Station and at 6 meters above sea level. The station serves the areas of Nedre Elvehavn and Nyhavna. This includes dense residential areas and large workplaces including DnB NOR, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte and Teekay Petrojarl in addition to Solsiden shopping mall and the Trondheim Academy of Fine Art, part of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

E.C. Dahls Brewery (E.C. Dahls Bryggeri) is a brewery and soft drink factory based in Trondheim, Norway.

Nedre Elvehavn is a neighborhood in the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is situated the borough of Østbyen, just on the east side of the river Nidelva (across the river from Midtbyen, although it is generally considered to be part of the city center). Nedre Elvehavn is within walking distance of the Midtbyen and Trondheim Central Station. The area is located north of the neighborhood of Bakklandet, west of Møllenberg, and south of Nyhavna. In the late 1990s, the borough went through a major renovation, resulting in a new and expensive area close to the city centre with business, shopping, restaurants, pubs, and housing. Almost all buses running from the east into town stop at Nedre Elvehavn, as does the commuter train service Trønderbanen at Lademoen Station.The area has developed on the site of Ørens Mekaniske Verksted and Trondheims Mekaniske Verksted, a mechanical workshop that was once the largest employer in Trondheim. The industrial site became disused in the late 1990s and turned into a new high-end area, though some of the original buildings and artifacts have been kept, including a dry dock and a crane. The area includes the shopping centre Solsiden, a hotel, marina, and the Trondheim offices of many companies, including DnB NOR, Vital, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Cap Gemini, Deloitte, Petrojarl, the British Consulate, the Mexican Consulate, the Polish Consulate, Google, NextGenTel, Radio 1, Scandinavian Airlines, and InCreo Interactive Creations AS. Across the street from Nedre Elvehavn is Trondheim Art Academy, part of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

Nidelva is a river in Trondheim Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The name of the 30-kilometre (19 mi) long river translates to "the River Nid" since the suffix elva or elven is the Norwegian word for "river".

Ladehammeren is a small mountain on the Lade peninsula in the municipality of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located just south of the Korsvika area. Våttahaugen, the highest point of Ladehammeren, is 71 metres (233 ft) above sea level. Kjerringberget is another high point on the mountain. The area of Ladehammeren was the site of a burial cairn during the Viking Age.In the 18th century, there were plans for building a fort at Ladehammeren, but that never happened. Starting in 1848, the military used Ladehammern to store gunpowder. German forces used these buildings during the Nazi occupation of Norway, building a fortification and bunkers.In 2000, a monument titled "Equilibrio North" was erected at Våttahaugen. The monument was the creation of German artist Rolf Schaffner (1927-2008).

Trondheim Academy of Fine Art is a department of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway responsible for Bachelor and Master education within fine art. Located at a separate campus at Nedre Elvehavn it is part of the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Art. The academy was created after World War II and in 1979 a college and from 1987 a state art academy. It was merged into NTNU in 1996.
