Shops at CenterPoint is an open air strip mall located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. It opened in 1967 as Eastbrook Mall (an enclosed mall), a year before the larger Woodland Mall opened across the street. Throughout 2012 and 2013, the center underwent renovation tearing off half of the mall to become an outdoor shopping mall instead called The Shops at Centerpointe.

Woodland Mall is an enclosed super-regional shopping mall located in Kentwood, Michigan, a suburb of Grand Rapids. It comprises over 100 tenants in 1,158,942 square feet (107,669.2 m2) of retail space, with three anchor stores (Macy's, JCPenney, and Von Maur), along with Barnes & Noble (which is the largest non-anchor store in the mall), Forever 21, H&M, Pottery Barn, and The North Face as junior anchors. It formerly housed a movie theater which opened as Cinemark, was purchased by Celebration Cinema and subsequently closed in 2020. The mall is owned and managed by Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust, who acquired it from its developer, Taubman Centers, in 2006.

Calvin University, formerly Calvin College, is a private Christian university in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Founded in 1876, Calvin University is an educational institution of the Christian Reformed Church and stands in the Calvinist tradition. Known as Calvin College for most of its history, the school is named after John Calvin, the 16th-century Protestant Reformer.

Van Noord Arena is a 5,000-seat indoor arena located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, part of the Spoelhof Fieldhouse complex on the campus of Calvin University. It was built in 2009 and is home to Calvin University's Knights basketball and volleyball teams, which previously played at Knollcrest Fieldhouse, which was converted into a recreational facility. The arena contains a luxury suite that can hold 40 fans, as well as a climbing wall at the main lobby. Sixty percent of the arena's seating are chairs, the rest are bleachers. The arena can seat up to 5,500 for concerts, which moved with the basketball and volleyball teams to the new arena. The first concert was by rapper Lupe Fiasco. The new arena was built so that recording artists who have historically never played West Michigan can perform at this arena. Spoelhof Fieldhouse accounts for 10% of the total square footage at the Calvin University campus. The total square footage of the arena is 362,000 square feet (33,600 m2).

Schmohz Brewing Company is a brewery and taproom located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Jim Schwerin (owner/brewer) and Gabi Palmer (head brewer) are responsible for brewing the beer. Both are alumni of Michigan Technological University (MTU). Schmohz holds a Michigan microbrewery license. Schmohz products are also available in stores, bars, and restaurants around Michigan. The Taproom (located at 2600 Patterson Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546) features 16 taps, including 8 standard beers, 7 seasonal and rotating beers, and a rootbeer soda (great for floats). The Treasure Chest ESB won a gold medal at the 2017 U.S. Open Beer Championship.In 2009 Schmohz added a biergarten so patrons can drink their beer outside. Picnic tables and an honor grill populate the biergarten. Schmohz does not serve food but is outside-food friendly. You can even have food delivered there. In 2018 Schmohz opened a second taproom inside Mancino's Pizza in Petoskey, Michigan. The Petoskey location has 11 taps which includes a rootbeer soda plus 10 rotating beers. Schmohz also hosts the West Michigan Chapter of the Michigan Tech Alumni Association monthly meetings and is an integral part of event staff for the Chapter.

Grand Rapids Christian High School (GRCHS) is a private Christian secondary school in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Founded in 1920, "Christian High" is a member of Grand Rapids Christian Schools and Christian Schools International. The school was first accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools in 1925, one of the first six high schools in Kent County to receive that honor. Reeds Lake is a fresh-water lake in the city of East Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. Formerly the site of an early-20th-century amusement park and resort popular with residents of nearby Grand Rapids, it is adjacent to the suburb's modern-day city center, and serves as a symbol for the community. It is surrounded by private residences along most of its north, east, and south shores, and by public parks municipal facilities, and a few businesses on its west and northwest shores. The Reeds Lake Triathlon takes place in early September, and the Reeds Lake Run is typically in late June. A paved/boardwalk footpath around the lake is 4.2 miles (6.8 km) long.
