Blackburn Hamlet

Orléans West-Innes Ward (Ward 2) is a city ward in the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the eastern end of the city, containing the western half of Orleans subdivision plus the community of Blackburn Hamlet. The ward is represented on Ottawa City Council by Laura Dudas. Within Orleans, it contains the neighbourhoods of Hiawatha Park, Convent Glen, Orleans Wood, Orléans Village, Chapel Hill and Orleans South.

École secondaire publique Louis-Riel (Louis Riel Public Secondary School) is a high school in the Blackburn Hamlet neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, part of the Conseil des écoles publiques de l'Est de l'Ontario (Eastern Ontario Public School Board). It opened in the fall of 1980, and the name Louis Riel was chosen by the students in 1981. Phase 1 of the school's construction finished in 1980, accommodating 250 students from the Gloucester region in the east end of Ottawa. Phase 2 was completed in 1982 featuring the school gymnasiums, cafeteria, and science and tech labs. In 2003, a new annex was added, to accommodate grade 7 and 8 students. The school had previously only accommodated students from grades 9 through 12. The school now serves approximately 1000 students.

The Ottawa Self-Transcendence 24 Hour Race was part of a triple Ultramarathon race (6h, 12h, and 24h) in the National Capital Region Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Organized by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team the run took place in July. For many years, this race was held on an outdoor track at the Terry Fox Athletic Facility, and then indoors at the Louis Riel dome, on a 400-meter track. Since 2017, the race was held outdoors at the Asticou Training Centrein Gatineau, Quebec (3 km from Ottawa). Runners from Canada and all over the world participated. It was the longest-running 24 hour race and oldest timed ultrarace worldwide. Runners from Canada and all over the world participate.

The Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre (OCDC) is a correctional facility in Ottawa, Ontario. It opened in 1972.

Montréal is an under construction rail station on the Confederation Line in Ottawa, Ontario. It will be located in the median of Highway 174 at Montreal Road. It is being constructed as part of the Stage 2 O-Train expansion and is scheduled for completion in 2025. The station will consist of an island platform and will have two entrances; one on each side of Montreal Road. Bus connections will be available at each entrance.

The Skate Canada Hall of Fame is the sports hall of fame for figure skating maintained by Skate Canada. It was established in 1990 as the Canadian Figure Skating Hall of Fame. The members are inducted into one of four categories that best represents the inductee's contributions to skating in Canada: athletes, coaches, builders, and officials. There is no physical home for the Hall of Fame; the offices of Skate Canada house historical artifacts and information about its honoured members.

Lester B. Pearson Catholic High School (LBP) is an Ottawa Catholic School Board high school. It is located in the neighbourhood of Beacon Hill in the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Chapel Hill is a neighbourhood in the east end Ottawa, Ontario, Canada within the community of Orleans. It is considered an outer-suburb of Ottawa, and before the 2001 amalgamation of the city of Ottawa, it was part of the former City of Gloucester. Chapel Hill consists of mostly single family homes situated next to the National Capital Commission (NCC) Greenbelt and surrounding rural areas. The area is divided into two parts by Innes Road: Chapel Hill North and Chapel Hill South. The northern half is represented by the Chapel Hill North Community Association, while the southern half is represented by the Chapel Hill South Community Association. The boundaries of Chapel Hill North are St. Joseph Blvd (north), Boyer Rd (east), Innes Rd (south) and the greenbelt (west).According to the 2011 Census, the population of Chapel Hill is 15,917 people, with 7,396 in the south and 8,521 in the north.

Gloucester High School is a high school in the Beacon Hill neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The school was founded in 1963 by the former Gloucester School Board. The school can harbour approximately 1,600 students. Gloucester High School provides education to grades 9 through 12 through a semestered curriculum as established by the Ontario Ministry of Education. The school has several clubs and organizations including Gators for Ghana, concert band, Reach for the Top, GHS Radio, Fashion Club, a school newspaper, the Gator Gazette; Gator Athletic Society and Gator Television (GTV). In 2010, Gloucester's Reach for the Top team came 4th at the national finals. Gloucester high School has many successful sports teams. Athletic teams include basketball, cheerleading, field hockey, football, golf, ice hockey, Nordic skiing, rugby, soccer, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling.

The Earl Armstrong Arena is an indoor arena in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is used as an ice hockey arena in the winter to house the Ottawa Canadians Jr. team and in the summer uses its slab for lacrosse where the Gloucester Griffins Jr "B" team call home. It is located in the former city of Gloucester, at 2020 Ogilvy Road, adjacent to Gloucester High School. It is named after Reeve Earl Armstrong of Gloucester township.The area was host to the first, inaugural World Ringette Championships at the 1990 World Ringette Championships. A Canadian team, Team Alberta, took home the gold medal and the Sam Jacks Trophy whose design was changed in 1996.

The Robert O. Pickard Environmental Centre is a waste water treatment facility in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It provides secondary treatment to about 720,000 people. It is located at 800 Green Creek Dr., Ottawa, Ontario, and discharges to the Ottawa River. It was built in 1963 as a primary treatment plant, it was then later uprated to secondary treatment between 1988 and 1993. At the time of the upgrade, the site was named after the then Commissioner of Works. It is also one of Canada's largest wastewater treatment facilities.

Green's Creek is a small tributary of the Ottawa River that flows through the community of Gloucester in eastern Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Among its tributaries are Borthwick Creek, Black Creek, Mud Creek, and Ramsay Creek, all of which spring in the Mer Bleue bog.
