Victoria Barracks is an Australian Army base in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Victoria Barracks is located in the suburb of Paddington, between Oxford Street and Moore Park Road. It is just north of the Moore Park, the Sydney Cricket Ground and Sydney Football Stadium. Victoria Barracks houses the Headquarters Forces Command. Listed on the Commonwealth Heritage List in 2004, the site contains one of the most important groups of Edwardian military buildings in Australia. The Army Museum of NSW is housed in the original District Military Prison, constructed in 1847. It is open to visitors on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the first Sunday each month (by appointment) from 10:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The museum is closed during December and January. Tours of the Barracks precinct are conducted by the Corps of Guides on Thursdays starting at 10:00 a.m. The Australian Army Band Sydney is located at Victoria Barracks.

The 2nd Military District was an administrative district of the Australian Army that covered most of New South Wales, with its headquarters in Sydney. The southern border with the 3rd Military District was the Murrumbidgee River rather than the Murray River, and the western part of the state around Broken Hill was part of the 4th Military District.In March 1939 a regional command structure was adopted, with 2nd Military District becoming Eastern Command and the 5th Military District was redesignated Western Command, while the 1st Military District in Queensland became Northern Command, and the three southern districts, the 3rd, 4th and 6th Military Districts in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, were amalgamated into Southern Command. This required legislative changes to the Defence Act (1903), and did not come into effect until October 1939.

The Courtney Goodwill Trophy is a rugby league trophy that was awarded for competition between the national rugby league teams of Australia, France, Great Britain and New Zealand between 1936 and 1988. The trophy is displayed in the Heroes and Legends Museum at Rugby League Central in Moore Park, Sydney.

The Sydney Football Stadium, commercially known as Allianz Stadium and previously Aussie Stadium, was a football stadium in Moore Park, Sydney, Australia. Built in 1988 next to the Sydney Cricket Ground, the stadium was Sydney's premier rectangular field venue for rugby league, rugby union, and soccer. The Kangaroos, the Wallabies, and the Socceroos occasionally played at the stadium, while the Sydney Roosters, NSW Waratahs, and Sydney FC were the ground's major tenants. The stadium usually held both National Rugby League semi finals and one preliminary final, and also held the annual pre-season Charity Shield football match between South Sydney and St George Illawarra for a number of years. It hosted all New South Wales Rugby League/Australian Rugby League rugby league grand finals, as well as the first grand final under the NRL banner, between 1988 and 1998. The NSW Government announced plans in November 2017 for the stadium to be demolished and rebuilt. The stadium closed in October 2018, with the last event being a Michael Bublé concert. Demolition began in early 2019, continuing after several legal challenges and becoming a major issue during the 2019 state election. It was ultimately replaced by the Sydney Football Stadium (2022) opening on 28 August 2022.

The Sydney Football Stadium, known commercially as Allianz Stadium, is a football stadium in Moore Park, Sydney, Australia. Built as a replacement for the original Sydney Football Stadium, it was officially opened on 28 August 2022. The ground's major tenants are the Sydney Roosters and South Sydney Rabbitohs of the National Rugby League, the New South Wales Waratahs of the Super Rugby, and Sydney FC of the A-League Men. It will be used as one of the venues for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, 2027 Rugby World Cup and a regional venue for the 2032 Summer Olympics.

The Members’ Stand and Lady Members’ Stand at the Sydney Cricket Ground are two heritage-listed grandstands located at Driver Avenue in the inner eastern Sydney suburb of Moore Park in the City of Sydney local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by J. Kirkpatrick and built from 1900. The property is owned by the Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust, an agency of the Government of New South Wales. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.The area occupied by the stands were previously Aboriginal land, a water reserve, community facility, showground, and cricket ground.

The Albert Cotter Bridge, also known as the Tibby Cotter bridge, is a pedestrian bridge across Anzac Parade, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was built to primarily to cater for crowds exiting the Sydney Cricket Ground and Sydney Football Stadium.

Metro Screen was a Paddington, Sydney based not-for-profit film, television and digital media training organisation. It was the NSW member of Screen Development Australia (SDA) and was located in the Paddington Town Hall, Cnr Oxford St & Oatley Rd, Paddington. Other members include Open Channel (Vic), QPIX (Qld), Media Resource Centre (SA), Wide Angle Tasmania (Tas), and FTI (WA). It began in 1981 and closed in December 2015 and was originally known as The Paddington Video Access Centre. During the eighties "Metro" was instrumental in developing community access to video and television production through training, productions and capital investment in equipment and facilities. In the late eighties Metro organised the community television trials and was a key organisational player in the establishment of Sydney's community television station Television Sydney. The Paddington Town Hall is a heritage-listed former town hall building located at 249 Oxford Street in the inner eastern Sydney suburb of Paddington, in the City of Sydney local government area of New South Wales, Australia. Sir Henry Parkes laid its foundation stone in 1890 when Paddington was a separate municipality. It was designed by John Edward Kemp and built from 1890 to 1891, and remains a distinctive example of Victorian architecture in Sydney. The clock tower, completed in 1905, is 32 metres (105 ft) high and is a prominent landmark on the ridge of Oxford Street. It is also known as Town Hall and was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

The Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) is a sports stadium in Sydney, Australia. It is used for Test, One Day International and Twenty20 cricket, as well as, Australian rules football and occasionally for rugby league, rugby union and association football. It is the home ground for the New South Wales Blues cricket team, the Sydney Sixers of the Big Bash League and the Sydney Swans of the Australian Football League. It is owned and operated by the Venues NSW, who also hold responsibility for the Sydney Football Stadium.

Tramway Oval, also known as Lakeside Oval, is a multi-purpose public sports ground located in Moore Park, a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales. The oval is a premium sports facility in the Centennial Parklands, located immediately west of the Sydney Cricket Ground and south of Kippax Lake on an approximately semicircular grassy wedge between Driver Avenue and the CBD and South East Light Rail which runs along Anzac Parade. Tramway Oval is primarily used as a training ground for professional clubs who use the nearby Sydney Cricket Ground and Sydney Football Stadium, particularly the Sydney Swans Australian rules football club (including its junior academy) and the New South Wales Waratahs rugby union club. Spectator facilities at the venue are minimal. The construction of the light rail along Anzac Parade in the mid-2010s reduced the width of the oval to only 101m wide, well short of the minimum width for an Australian rules football oval. A redevelopment of the surface finishing in 2019 saw its size increased to match that of Melbourne's Docklands Stadium, and made the venue suitable for state level Australian rules football. The Sydney Swans reserves team now plays its competitive matches in the Victorian Football League (and previously in the North East Australian Football League) on the ground.

Paddington Substation is a heritage-listed electrical substation built in 1926 and located at 1 Young Street, Paddington in the Municipality of Woollahra local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It is also known as Substation #342 Paddington 33Kv Zone. The property is owned by Ausgrid, an agency of the Government of New South Wales. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.
