The Means Street Historic District in the Marietta Street Artery district of Atlanta consists of historic, mostly 19th and early 20th century warehouse and industrial buildings now converted to office space along one block of Means St. between Bankhead and Ponders Aves. Means Street was named for landowner Alexander Means and was plotted in 1869. Warehouses were built in this early industrial corridor, then known as Bellwood, along the railroad line. Mule-pulled trolleys brought workers starting in 1882, and these became electrified in 1894.Contributing properties include: Allied Factory Lofts, 500 Means Street, originally built in the late 19th century by the Standard Oil Company to be used as a barrel making shop. Now lofts. Atlanta Spring Bed Company - Block Candy Company, 512 Means Street. Originally constructed to house a furniture manufacturing company. Later used as warehouse space, candy manufacturing company, and a textile salvage company. Now office space. Atlanta Buggy Company and Ware-Hatcher Bros. Furniture Company /The Carriage Works, 530 & 544 Means Street. Includes the remaining portion of the 1907 Ware-Hatcher building which was used for furniture manufacturing, and which took over the 1903 Atlanta Buggy Company building, which was originally a buggy factory. Now office space. Standard Oil Company Inc. of Kentucky, 535 Means Street, now the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center

The Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts is a college of the Georgia Institute of Technology, a public research university in Atlanta, Georgia. It is one of the six academic units at the university and named for former two-term Atlanta mayor Ivan Allen Jr., a Georgia Tech alumnus (Commerce, 1933) and advocate for the advancement of civil rights in America.

The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, at the Georgia Institute of Technology located in Atlanta, Georgia is the only professional school of international affairs at a major technological institution. Founded in 1990, the School was renamed the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs in 1996 in honor of former US Senator and Georgia Tech alumnus Sam Nunn.The School's programs focus on understanding the global context of advances in science and technology and on preparing students to address concerns at the nexus of science, technology, and international affairs. The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs is a member of The Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA), an organization that works to advance international understanding, prosperity, peace and security through professional education in international affairs.

The Southern Railway North Avenue Yards, now repurposed as the NorthYards business park, is located just west of the railway line northwest from downtown Atlanta, south of the Marietta Street Artery neighborhood, rich in industrial history. The Yards represent a microcosm in changes in American railroads over the course of the 20th century. The Southern Railway Company first established the complex, as early as 1911, as a turntable rail yard. The roundhouse (1925) was once used for assembling and servicing trains and, as offsite warehouses were introduced, it was later adapted for use as a warehouse. During the 1950s and 1960s additional warehouses were built surrounding and connected to the roundhouse.The Roundhouse at Northyards Business Park was renovated and turned into a business park in 2002 by C.D. Moody Construction and won the 2002 Atlanta Urban Design Commission's Award of Excellence.

Marietta Street Artery (formerly designated as "Bellwood") is an officially defined neighborhood of the city of Atlanta, Georgia, part of the West Midtown area of Atlanta, also known as the "Westside."The neighborhood consists of Marietta Street and the city blocks immediately to the east and west of it, stretching from 8th Street NW on the north to North Avenue NW on the south. It is bordered by the neighborhoods of Home Park on the north, Georgia Tech on the east, downtown Atlanta on the south, and English Avenue on the west.The neighborhood consists of many former industrial and warehouse properties which have been transformed into lofts, galleries, theaters, shops, restaurants, and coffee shops.

Hotel Roxy, formerly the H. B. Davis Building is a historic building in Atlanta, Georgia. It was built in 1921. The commercial building was renovated in 1995 and adapted into loft apartments and a retail/ restaurant space.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.The building is located at 764–772 Marietta Street. It is a red brick building with bricks laid in common bond with six stretcher courses.

The Georgia Tech Campus Recreation Center (abbreviated CRC, formerly known as the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center and the Georgia Tech Student Athletic Center) is part of the Georgia Tech campus.

The Technique, also known as the "'Nique", is the official student newspaper of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, and has referred to itself as "the South's liveliest college newspaper" since 1945. As of the fall semester of 2011, the Technique has a weekly circulation of 10,000, distributed to numerous locations on the Georgia Tech campus and a handful of locations in the surrounding area. The first issue of the Technique was published on November 17, 1911, and the paper has printed continuously since its founding. The paper publishes weekly throughout the regular school year and primarily covers news, events and issues specific to the Georgia Tech community. In 2004 it was one of 25 collegiate newspapers to receive the Pacemaker award from the Associated Collegiate Press.

Under the Couch (UTC) is a currently displaced live music venue, recording studio, and lounge formerly located in the Student Center at the Georgia Institute of Technology, in Atlanta, Georgia. Under the Couch is run by the Musician's Network (MN), a Tier II Georgia Tech student organization. Musician's Network meetings are held at 7pm every Monday night during regular school semesters in Under the Couch and are open to all Georgia Tech students and alumni.

The Ferst Center for the Arts, located in Atlanta, Georgia, is Georgia Tech's theater and arts center and is adjacent to DramaTech, the student-run theater. It contains a 950-seat auditorium that features a proscenium stage, orchestra pit, and theatrical lighting and sound systems.

The Kessler Campanile is an 80-foot-tall (24 m) campanile located at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Designed by artist Richard Hill, a University of Georgia graduate, it was originally constructed for the 1996 Olympic Games. It is named after Richard C. Kessler, Tech graduate and former head of Days Inns. It is frequently referred to as "The Campanile" or "The Shaft" (a tongue-in-cheek reference to student opinion on the school's difficult curriculum). The amphitheater and the Campanile reopened in 2011 after a two-year-long reconstruction as part of the ongoing Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons construction.
