Ravipuram (Malayalam: രവിപുരം) is a region in the city of Kochi, in the state of Kerala, India. It is part of downtown Kochi. It is also one of the wealthiest localities in the heart of Kochi. The area consists with multi-national commercial establishments, important government offices, shopping malls, educational institutions, star hotels, restaurants, and cultural centers. It is also considered to the center of the city and nearest point connecting Ernakulam Junction Railway station.

Panampilly Nagar is a high-end hybrid residential-commercial neighborhood in Kadavanthra region of the city of Kochi, India. It is an upscale area of downtown Kochi, with both commercial and residential developments. The street is famous for its prominent Marian Pilgrim Centre called Ambikapuram Vyakula Matha Church. The Vyakula mother's feast of Ambikapuram is the grand celebration of this region. It is considered as one of the important celebrations held in Kochi city.It is a busy upmarket residential area in Kadavanthra region just 1 km east of M.G Road, the center of Kochi city. From M.G Road, Pallimukku junction, one could move through Sahodaran Ayyappan Road and go over the south bridge take a deviation to the right to reach Panampilly Nagar. There are many by lanes in the place of which Panampilly Avenue is the main avenue close to the South Overbridge. Panampilly Nagar falls under Ernakulam South Police Station and has its own Post office due to high density population apart from the main one at Kadavanthra. It's an area well connected with Kochi Metro Rail, utilizing Kadavanthra metro station for passenger movements. The Major celebration of this place is the Annual feast of Our Lady of Dolours Ambikapuram, which conducts in September every year. The feast is celebrated by the devotees irrespective of caste or creed. The strong devotion to Mother Mary is the highlight of this street.

Venduruthy-Vikrant Bridge, also known as Venduruthy Bridge is a bridge in Kochi, Kerala, India. There are two bridges at present; one railway bridge and one road bridge, running parallel to each other, that connects the Ernakulam side of Kochi to the Willingdon Island. The old Venduruthy railway bridge was constructed in 1938 along with two parallel road bridges. The old railway bridge is one of the first bridges in India to be completely constructed fom steel. It is a landmark in Kochi with historic significance as it played a major role in the transformation of Kochi into a major port city in India during the British era.In 2005, a dredger hit the railway bridge which led to its closure. Following this incident, the construction of new railway bridge started, which was opened in 2015. The old railway bridge was dismantled in March 2018. The new two-lane bridge was opened in 2011, after the old road bridge was found weaker to carry heavy vehicles.

Venduruthy is a small island in Kochi, India. It is now a part of the greater Willingdon Island. The isolated island is approachable only from the Ernakulam backwater channel. It boasted of two edifices-the Roman Catholic Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, it was built by the early Portuguese settlers in the 16th century.In 1925 when the late Marquis of Willingdon was Governor of Madras Province, the question of reclaiming this boggy marshland arose in Parliament and after many heated debates, reclamation was put into operation, lasting over a period of twenty years, eventually producing an island of no mean size. Black heavy clay silt was scoured from the channel bed by the dredger Lord Willingdon and deposited in vast quantities upon the site, whilst around the perimeter a strong four-foot stone wall was constructed as a safeguard against inroads from the sea. Trees were planted along the coast to keep the soil firm. Within a decade the island which is now named Willingdon Island came into being. The Cochin Port Trust (Madras), commandeered the areas fringing the Mattancherry Channel north-west of the island and built fine buildings and a solid wharf. The rest of the land lay open with an abundance of grass and shrubbery growing in great profusion [1]. An Indian Naval Training Establishment, INS Venduruthy has been named after it. Two important defense schools at Venduruthy are—the Gunnery School and the Navigation and Direction School.

INS Venduruthy is an Indian Navy base located on Willingdon Island in Kochi, Kerala. It serves as the Headquarters of the Southern Naval Command. It is the largest training establishment of the Indian Navy. INS Garuda is a naval air station located adjacent to INS Venduruthy. Commodore Deepak Kumar is the Commanding officer of this base. It provides administrative facilities to all training establishments inside the Southern naval command. Pincode of INS Vendurathy is 682004.

Kochukadavanthra (Cheriakadavanthra) is a small area of Elamkulam village in Ernakulam district of Kerala, south India. The nearest big city is Ernakulam. Kochukadavanthra situated in the west bank of the Perandoor Kanal south end. Residential area of Kasthurba Nagar and south Panampilly Nagar belongs to Kochukadavanthra. You can reach at Kochukadavanthra by traveling two kilometer south side from Panampally Nagar Junction through Panampally Nagar avenue Road.

The Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering Training (or CIFNET) formerly known as the Central Institute of Fisheries Operatives, is a marine studies centre located at Kochi, India. Maintained by the Department of Fisheries and Animal Husbandry and Dairying of the Government of India, the institute was set up to aid research and development in the field. The institute was set up for the statutory manning requirements of deep sea fishing vessels as per the Merchant Shipping Act. The institute provides training in fisheries and maritime sector. The institute was set up in 1963 and is affiliated to the Cochin University of Science and Technology. The institute has two other units in Visakhapatnam and Chennai. The institute arranges training programmes for foreign nationals from countries like Nigeria, Oman, Maldives, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Zambia, Ghana, Tanzania, Sudan, Yemen, Laos etc. under schemes like FAO fellowship, CFTC, SCAAP, Colombo plan, and ITEC. The institute has three training vessels, mainly used for imparting onboard practical training for institutional trainees and for providing qualifying sea service for post-institutional trainees of the institute. The vessel M.V. Prashikshan i is attached to the headquarters at Kochi, the other two vessels M.V. Skipper II and M.V Tharangini are based at Chennai unit and Visakhapatnam unit.

Navy Children School, Kochi (formerly known as Naval Public School from 1986 to 2007) is an educational institution located on Willingdon island in the Naval Base at Kochi, Kerala.It provides primary, secondary and senior secondary (up to 12th standard) and follows the syllabus set by the Central Board of Secondary Education.

Chilavannoor, or Chilavannur, is a high-value residential area of Kochi in the state of Kerala, India. Chilavannoor Road serves as its main artery, running from the Elamkulam junction and is 3 km in length.

Willingdon Island is the largest artificial island in India, which forms part of the city of Kochi, in the state of Kerala. Much of the present Willingdon Island was claimed from the Lake of Kochi, filling in dredged soil around a previously existing, but tiny, natural island. Willingdon Island is significant as the home for the Port of Kochi as well as the Kochi Naval Base, the Southern Naval Command of the Indian Navy, Plant Quarantine station, Custom House Cochin and Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, a constituent unit of Indian Council of Agricultural Research. The island is also home for other establishments associated with the port, namely, the Office of the Cochin Port Trust (that controls the Port of Kochi), the Customs Office, the Mercantile Marine Department and more than two dozen export-import offices, warehouses, a few hotels and business centers. The Cochin Port Maritime Heritage Museum is located in the island.
