Yingwanzhen station

The Changsha Metro (officially 长沙轨道交通; chángshā guǐdào jiāotōng; usually called 长沙地铁; chángshā dìtiě) is a rapid transit system in Changsha, the capital city of Hunan province in China. The first operational line, Line 2, commenced service on April 29, 2014, making Changsha the 18th city in mainland China to open a rapid transit system.

Longwanggang River (Chinese: 龙王港) is a left-bank tributary of the Changsha section of Xiang River in Hunan Province, China. The river has two source streams, the north and south sources. Leifeng River is the north source stream, which rises in Liaojiaping. The south source is regarded as the main stream, it originates from Nanjiaoling (Chinese: 南角岭), which is located in the eastern side of Wufeng Mountain (Chinese: 五丰山) of Lianhua, Yuelu District.Longwanggang River has a length of 31 kilometres (19 mi), its drainage basin covers 173 square kilometres (67 sq mi). It runs generally west to east through Lianhua, Leifeng, Tianding, Meixihu, Wangchengpo and Xihu, joins Xiang River at Yingyinqiao Briage (Chinese: 溁银桥) between Yinpenling and Wangyuehu subdistricts.

Wangyuehu Subdistrict (Chinese: 望月湖街道; pinyin: Wàngyuèhú Jiēdào) is a subdistrict of Yuelu District in Changsha, Hunan, China. The subdistrict has an area of 1.57 square kilometres (0.61 sq mi) with a permanent population of about 52,000 (as of 2015). The subdistrict has six communities under its jurisdiction.

Hunan International Economics University (Chinese: 湖南涉外经济学院; pinyin: Húnán Shèwaì Jīngjì Xuéyuàn) is a private college located in Yuelu, Changsha, Hunan, China. Despite its English name, the school has not been granted university status. As of fall 2013, the university has one campus, a combined student body of 26,158 students and 1,614 faculty members. The university consists of 11 colleges, with 41 specialties for undergraduates. The university covers a total area of 1,700 mu, with more than 427,600 square meters of floor space.

The First Battle of Changsha (17 September 1939 – 6 October 1939; Chinese: 第一次長沙會戰) was the first of four attempts by Japan to take the city of Changsha, Hunan, during the second Sino-Japanese War. Coming two weeks after Germany's invasion of Poland on September 1, it was the first major battle of the war to fall within the time frame of what is widely considered World War II.

The Battle of Changsha of 1944 (also known as the Battle of Hengyang or Campaign of Changsha-Hengyang; Chinese: 長衡會戰) was an invasion of the Chinese province of Hunan by Japanese troops near the end of the Second Sino-Japanese War. As such, it encompasses three separate conflicts: an invasion of the city of Changsha and two invasions of Hengyang. The Japanese military transferred the bulk of their troops from the Japanese homeland and Manchuria as part of Operation "Ichi-Go" or "Tairiku Datsu Sakusen" which roughly translates as 'Operation to Break through the Continent'. This was an attempt to establish a land and rail corridor from the Japanese occupied territories of Manchuria, Northern and Central China and Korea and those in South East Asia.

The Battle of Changsha (6 September – 8 October 1941; Chinese: 第二次長沙會戰) was Japan's second attempt at taking the city of Changsha, China, the capital of Hunan Province, as part of the Second Sino-Japanese War.

The third Battle of Changsha (24 December 1941 – 15 January 1942; Chinese: 第三次長沙會戰) was the first major offensive in China by Imperial Japanese forces following the Japanese attack on the Western Allies and the attack on Pearl Harbor. The offensive resulted in failure for the Japanese, as Chinese forces were able to lure them into a trap and encircle them. After suffering heavy casualties, Japanese forces were forced to carry out a general retreat.

The Orange Isle Bridge (Chinese: 橘子洲大桥) is an arch bridge over the Xiang River in Changsha, Hunan, China. It connects Yuelu District and Furong District.
