Hotel Kenney is a hotel near Jones Falls on the Rideau Canal in the township of Rideau Lakes, Ontario, Canada. Parks Canada describes the hotel as having been built as a fishing lodge in a period when excursion steamers operated along the canal.The hotel was built in 1888, on the site of an earlier building which had been destroyed in a fire. It is open early May to late October. The hotel was owned by members of the Kenney family for many years. In 2008, Franklin Folts, a clothing store owner and resident of Martha's Vineyard, bought the hotel at an auction.The hotel was nominated in Today magazine as "Best Small Hotel in Canada," the hotel's website claims.

Jones Falls Dam is a dam on the Rideau Canal located in Rideau Lakes, Leeds and Grenville United Counties, Ontario, Canada, that was built between 1828 and 1831 to tame the mile-long series of rapids and falls that flowed from Sand Lake and into the White Fish River (now drowned).

Peterson Creek is a river in the Lake Ontario and Cataraqui River drainage basins in South Frontenac, Frontenac County and Rideau Lakes, Leeds and Grenville United Counties in eastern Ontario, Canada. It flows 6.5 kilometres (4.0 mi) from Upper Peterson Lake to its mouth at Hart Lake.

Gananoque Airport (TC LID: CNN8) is located 4.3 nautical miles (8.0 km; 4.9 mi) northwest of the town of Gananoque, Ontario, Canada, in Canada's busy Quebec City-Windsor Corridor. It is currently a major centre for skydiving, as well as one of the three Canadian airports serving the Thousand Islands (along with Kingston/Norman Rogers Airport and Brockville Regional Tackaberry Airport).

RCAF Detachment Gananoque was a relief landing field for the Royal Air Force's No. 31 Service Flying Training School (SFTS) located at RCAF Station Kingston during the Second World War. The airfield was located north of Gananoque, Ontario, Canada. Gananoque consisted of a triangle-shaped runway pattern, one hangar, and a control tower. Gananoque officially became a British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP) facility in 1942 when RAF training schools became part of the BCATP. The station opened in 1940 and closed in 1945. The airfield was constructed in a typical BCATP wartime pattern, with three runways formed in a triangle. In approximately 1942 the aerodrome was listed at 44°24′N 76°15′W with a variation of 12 degrees west and elevation of 395 ft (120 m). Three runways were listed as follows: Today, the former station is operated as the Gananoque Airport.

Pittsburgh is a former incorporated and now geographic township in Ontario, Canada. Located within Frontenac County, it was surveyed in 1787–1788 and named for William Pitt the Younger, the British prime minister. It was incorporated on January 1, 1850. The township was amalgamated into the city of Kingston effective January 1, 1998. The community still retains the name "Pittsburgh" within the government of Kingston. Pittsburgh Township is home to Fort Henry, Canadian Forces Base Kingston, the Royal Military College of Canada and the historic community of Barriefield, Ontario. It includes the east side of the UNESCO-listed Rideau Canal at Kingston Mills (site of the Shafia family murders), hosts a handful of motels serving Ontario Highway 15 and former Ontario Highway 2, a federal prison (Pittsburgh and Joyceville Institutions in Joyceville, Ontario) and three museums (Military Communications and Electronics Museum, RMC Museum and MacLachlan Woodworking Museum). Pittsburgh Township, separated from Kingston by the Cataraqui River, is linked to the downtown by the La Salle Causeway. The Waaban Crossing, located between the La Salle Causeway and Highway 401, opened in 2022.

The Gananoque River Bridge is a railway bridge across the Gananoque River in the municipality of Leeds and the Thousand Islands, United Counties of Leeds and Grenville in eastern Ontario, Canada, located between Montreal and Toronto at mile 155.9 in the Canadian National Railway Kingston subdivision. It consists of four identical spans carrying single track supported on common piers and abutments and was built in 1902–1903 according to Grand Trunk Railroad specifications of 1900. The bridge carries all CN freight traffic between Toronto and Montreal, and all Via Rail Corridor passenger rail traffic between Toronto and Ottawa/Montreal.

Loughborough Lake is a lake in Eastern Ontario, Canada. The lake is mostly in the municipality of South Frontenac, Frontenac County, except for the southern tip which is in and on the northern border of the separated city of Kingston, and is about 20 kilometres (12 mi) north of the town centre of Kingston. Loughborough Lake is in the Great Lakes Basin, is 24 kilometres (15 mi) long and 18.90 square kilometres (7.30 sq mi) in area, with many small islands, and has 119 kilometres (74 mi) of shoreline.Loon Island in the centre of the lake is privately owned by actor Dan Aykroyd.

Gananoque ( GAN-ə-NOK-way) is a town in the Leeds and Grenville area of Ontario, Canada. The town had a population of 5,383 year-round residents in the 2021 Canadian Census, as well as summer residents sometimes referred to as "Islanders" because of the Thousand Islands in the Saint Lawrence River, Gananoque's most important tourist attraction. The Gananoque River flows through the town and the St. Lawrence River serves as the southern boundary of the town.
