Putrajaya Street Circuit

The Ministry of Finance Complex is a building complex housing the Malaysian Ministry of Finance, opposite the Boulevard and Dataran Wawasan in Precinct 2 (north of the Core island) of Putrajaya. The Ministry of Finance (MoF) comprises the Royal Customs and Excise Department, Department of Valuation and Property Services, Department of the National Accountant of Malaysia, Inland Revenue Board, Securities Commission, and National Bank of Malaysia.

The Seri Wawasan Bridge is one of the main bridges in the planned city Putrajaya, the new (2001) Malaysian federal territory and administrative centre. This futuristic asymmetric cable-stayed bridge with a forward-inclined pylon has a sailing ship appearance, accented at night with changeable color lighting. The bridge, also called Bridge No. 9, crosses Putrajaya Lake, an artificial lake made to provide natural cooling, and connects Precinct 2 on the Core Island, where the main government buildings are located, to the residential area of Precinct 8, 9.

Putrajaya (Malay pronunciation: [putraˈdʒaja, putrəˈdʒajə]), officially the Federal Territory of Putrajaya (Malay: Wilayah Persekutuan Putrajaya), is the administrative and judicial capital of Malaysia. The seat of the federal government of Malaysia was moved in 1999 from Kuala Lumpur to Putrajaya because of overcrowding and congestion in Kuala Lumpur, whilst the seat of the judiciary of Malaysia was later moved to Putrajaya in 2003. Kuala Lumpur remains as Malaysia's national capital city per the constitution and is still the seat of the head of state (Yang di-Pertuan Agong) and the national legislature (Parliament of Malaysia), as well as being the country's commercial and financial centre. The establishment of Putrajaya was the idea of the then-Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad. First thought of in the 1990s, Putrajaya was envisioned to be “a laboratory for a new form of electronic government" that would emphasize new adoption of, investment in internet, media, and digital communications. The development of Putrajaya began in August 1995 and it was completed at an estimated cost of US$8.1 billion. On February 1, 2001, Putrajaya became Malaysia's third federal territory, after Kuala Lumpur in 1974 and Labuan in 1984. Putrajaya is also a part of MSC Malaysia, a special economic zone that covers Klang Valley.

Wisma Putra is a metonym for the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is also the name of the RM170 million Ministry of Foreign Affairs complex located at the country's administrative capital, Putrajaya. The name Wisma Putra was given to the original Ministry of Foreign Affairs building in Jalan Wisma Putra, Kuala Lumpur back in 1966. The name "Putra" was given in honor of Malaysia's father of Independence, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, since the Ministry stood on the site of the official residence of the Chief Minister of the Federation of Malaya. On 1 February 2001, Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad officially announced Putrajaya as Malaysia's third federal territory, and the entire Ministry moved to Putrajaya on 17 September 2001. When the Ministry eventually moved to a bigger complex in Putrajaya, it carried the name Wisma Putra to Putrajaya. The current Minister of Foreign Affairs is Zambry Abdul Kadir. His office is in Wisma Putra.

Millennium Monument (Malay: Monumen Alaf Baru) is a national monument in Putrajaya, Malaysia which is analogous to the Washington Monument in Washington DC, United States. It was the second national monument to be built in Putrajaya after Putrajaya Landmark. It is shaped like an obelisk with etchings denoting important periods and milestones in the nation's history. The monument is 68m tall. It stands in a 25-hectare park in Precinct 2. The monument is constructed of solid metal structures. At night, the monument serves as a beacon with strong light projected at 360 degrees and sweeping lights visible from various locations in Putrajaya. The lights also guide the cruise boats.

Putra Bridge is the main bridge in Putrajaya, Malaysia. It is analogous to Khaju Bridge in Esfahan, Iran. With a span of 435 metres, this bridge connects the Government Precinct to the Mixed Development Precinct and links Putra Square with the Boulevard. It was constructed in 1997. The upper level of the bridge forms part of the Boulevard. This huge three-deck bridge provides vehicle, monorail and pedestrian access. Besides providing the link between Precinct 1 and Precinct 2 on the Core Island, it has been designed to be a special feature of Putrajaya. The piers also accommodate fine dining restaurants within its main pillar supports.

Istana Darul Ehsan (English: Abode of Sincerity Palace), located in Putrajaya, Malaysia, is one of the royal residences of the Sultan of Selangor (Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah). Constructed on 20th Nov 2000, this huge grey mansion beside Putrajaya Lake symbolizes the appreciation from Malaysia's Federal Government to Selangor State for ceding Putrajaya to the federal government. It is constructed in Tudor style with high deep grey facade to be the Royal Retreat for the Sultan of Selangor and it is not open to the public. It often attracts attention from tourists. It consists of 6 stories and lift services; the area included guarded private spaces, personal library and Grand Lobby (the floor covered by Malaysian marble).

The Seri Bestari Bridge (Malay: Jambatan Seri Bestari) is a large arch bridge in Putrajaya, Malaysia. The eastern end of the bridge starts in Precinct 16 and the western end starts near Wisma Putra on Core Island. The bridge has a total length of 152.6 meters with a main span of 60 meters.

The Putra Square (Malay: Dataran Putra) is a city square in Presint 1, Putrajaya, Malaysia. The square has been used for festivals such as the Malaysian Independence Day parade. The 300 meter circular Putra Square is bounded by Perdana Putra, Putra Mosque, Putra Bridge and the Promenade Shopping Mall. In a tall flagpole in the square is the National flag of Malaysia surrounded by flags of each of its States. From the square, there are fine views of Perdana Putra, the Prime Minister's Office Building (to the north) and the Putra Mosque (to the east).

The Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque (Malay: Masjid Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin) or the Iron Mosque (Malay: Masjid Besi) is the second principal mosque in Putrajaya, Malaysia after Putra Mosque. It is located in Putrajaya's Precinct 3, opposite the Palace of Justice and next to Islamic Complex Putrajaya, a religious authority headquarters. Construction began since April 2004 and was fully completed on August 2009. It was officially opened by the 13th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin on 11 June 2010.The mosque was built to cater to approximately 24,000 residents including the government servants working around the city center as well as areas within Precincts 2, 3, 4 and 18. Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque's area is twice that of Putra Mosque, which is located 2.2 kilometres north.

The Palace of Justice (Malay: Istana Kehakiman, Jawi: ايستان کحاکيمن‎) houses the Malaysian Court of Appeal and Federal Court, which moved to Putrajaya from the Sultan Abdul Samad Building in Kuala Lumpur in 2003.

The Putra Mosque (Malay: Masjid Putra) is the principal mosque of Putrajaya, Malaysia. Construction of the mosque began in 1997 and was completed two years later. It is located on Putra Square and is adjacent to man-made Putrajaya Lake. The pink-domed Putra Mosque is constructed with rose-tinted granite and consists of three main functional areas – the prayer hall, the Sahn, or courtyard, and various learning facilities and function rooms. The mosque can accommodate 15,000 worshippers at any one time.On 25 June 1999, Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad went to Putra Mosque for prayers.
