The South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA) is the national administrative body responsible for the protection of South Africa's cultural heritage. It was established through the National Heritage Resources Act, number 25 of 1999 and together with provincial heritage resources authorities is one of the bodies that replaced the National Monuments Council.

Trafalgar High School is a public English medium co-educational secondary school in District Six of Cape Town in South Africa. It was the first school built in Cape Town for coloured and black students. The school took a leading role in protesting against apartheid policies. It celebrated its centenary in 2012 and is still running.

District Six Museum is a museum in the former inner-city residential area and, District Six, in Cape Town, South Africa in an old Methodist church. District Six Foundation was founded in 1989 and the museum in 1994, as a memorial to the forced movement of 60,000 inhabitants of various races in District Six during Apartheid in South Africa in the 1970s.The floor of the museum is covered with a big map of the district with hand written notes of former inhabitants, which indicate where their houses were located. One former resident is jazz musician, Abdullah Ibrahim, better known by the name Dollar Brand. Other pieces in the museum are old traffic signs, exhibits of historical moments and lives of families from the area, historical declarations, and exhibits about the demolition. Furthermore, the museum offers programmes for current inhabitants to help develop the district. The museum is dedicated to the construction of housing, environmental planning, and the organisation of music, literature, and art activities, with the active involvement of the public. The museum's goal is to join people into a community where there is respect for dignity, identity and the co-existence of different races.In 2003, the museum was honoured with a Prince Claus Award from the Netherlands.

The Perseverance Tavern, also known as The Percy or Persies, is a public house established in 1808 by Johannes Blesser in Cape Town. At the time of its temporary closure due to the Covid-19 crisis, it was notable for being the oldest pub in South Africa. It was established during a period when Cape Town was a major port supporting sea going trade between Europe and Asia during which the city was known as "The Tavern of the Seas". The tavern was owned by Ohlsson’s Breweries for the first half of the 20th century until being sold in 1956. It closed on 22 July 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting lockdown and alcohol sales ban. The tavern was re-opened under new ownership on 26 February 2021 following the easing of COVID-19 lockdown measures.

The Fugard Theatre, also known as The Fugard, was opened in the District Six area of Cape Town, South Africa in February 2010. The Fugard Theatre, as an artistic producing and receiving house, closed permanently in March 2021. After commissioning and underwriting the construction of the theatre in 2009 and 10 years of philanthropic support and producing involvement, the founding producer of the Fugard, Eric Abraham, returned the building that housed the Fugard Theatre complex to its freehold owner, The District 6 Museum. The building was handed back with two fully equipped auditoria – the Main Theatre and The Sigrid Rausing Studio – in the hope that it will be able to be used for the financial benefit of the Museum and the memory of District Six and its community.

Rust en Vreugd (meaning Rest and Joy), is a historic house and garden, located on Buitekant Street at the edge of the central business district of Cape Town, South Africa. It is one of the few remaining 18th-century buildings in the city. The Rust en Vreudg is home to the William Fehr Collection of pictorial Africana. It is a part of the Iziko Museums.

Central Library Cape Town is a public library in Cape Town, South Africa. It is one of 104 libraries within the City of Cape Town Library and Information Services.Central Library includes lending and reference services as well as specialised art and music sections. There are 90 plus computers plus free wi-fi for library members. The library offers books, cds, DVDs, audiobooks and magazines for loan. It is the only public library in Cape Town with books in all 11 official languages and also has books in foreign languages.

A Statue of Nelson Mandela was unveiled on 24 July 2018. It was placed on the balcony of Cape Town City Hall overlooking the Grand Parade, Cape Town, South Africa. Nelson Mandela was the first post-apartheid president of South Africa and received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993

It is the country's second-largest city (after Johannesburg) and the largest in the Western Cape. The city is part of the City of Cape Town metropolitan municipality. The city is known for its harbour, for its natural setting in the Cape Floristic Region, and for landmarks such as Table Mountain and Cape Point. In 2014, Cape Town was named the best place in the world to visit by both The New York Times and The Daily Telegraph.Located on the shore of Table Bay, the City Bowl area of Cape Town, is the oldest urban area in the Western Cape, with a significant cultural heritage. It was founded by the Dutch East India Company (VOC) as a supply station for Dutch ships sailing to East Africa, India, and the Far East. Jan van Riebeeck's arrival on 6 April 1652 established the VOC Cape Colony, the first permanent European settlement in South Africa. Cape Town outgrew its original purpose as the first European outpost at the Castle of Good Hope, becoming the economic and cultural hub of the Cape Colony. Until the Witwatersrand Gold Rush and the development of Johannesburg, Cape Town was the largest city in southern Africa. The city has a long coastline on the Atlantic Ocean, which includes False Bay, and extends to the Hottentots Holland mountains in the East. The Table Mountain National Park is within the city boundaries and there are several other nature reserves and marine protected areas within and adjacent to the city, protecting the diverse terrestrial and marine natural environment.

Cape Town City Hall is a large Edwardian building in Cape Town city centre which was built in 1905. It is located on the Grand Parade to the west of the Castle and is built from honey-coloured oolitic limestone imported from Bath in England.

The Cape Republic, also called the Cape of Good Hope or simply just the Cape, is a proposed state that encompasses the Western Cape, Northern Cape and a small part of the Eastern Cape in South Africa. The Cape Independence Party established itself in 2007 and wanted the Cape Republic to become a state independent of South Africa. The party is seeking a referendum so they can decide their future as an independent state. If the country would succeed South Africa, it would most likely border 3 countries; Namibia, South Africa and Botswana. Its coastline would stretch for about 1785 kilometers along the Atlantic Ocean and Indian Oceans. Its capitals would be Cape Town (de jure) and Kimberley (de facto). The country is more or less the same size as the Sovereign State of Good Hope, an unrecognised country, that was declared a country on 17 July 2018 by King Cornelius, of the Cape.

The Sovereign State of Good Hope, also known as the United Stated of the Cape of Good Hope, is an unrecognised nation declared on 17 July 2018 by Khoebaha Calvin Cornelius III, the recognised head of the Royal House of the Khoisan Nation.According to the Sovereign State of Good Hope's official website, the goal of their newly founded nation was "to restore a state of dignity to those who are impoverished and suffering; to overhaul the education system in a way that teaches compassion and practical skills, whilst eradicating the lies, fabrications and misrepresentations from history. The Sovereign State of Good Hope intends to assist all people realise their fullest potential, and to live in a fair, just, peaceful, sustainable nation." The article also states that the Khoisan people, native to the Cape region, were marginalized and alienated by the current South African regime. "Despite extensive efforts to engage with the new Regime over restitution of historic wrongs arising from colonial and foreign invasions, the Khoisan have remained marginalised and alienated from the new Regimes’ circles of favour, consideration and benefit." The Sovereign State of Good Hope is roughly the same size as the Cape Republic, one of the biggest secessionist movements in South Africa.
