Randers (Danish pronunciation: [ˈʁɑnɐs]) is a city in Randers Municipality, Central Denmark Region on the Jutland peninsula. It is Denmark's sixth-largest city, with a population of 62,802 (as of 1 January 2022). Randers is the municipality's main town and the site of its municipal council. By road it is 38.5 kilometres (23.9 mi) north of Aarhus, 43.8 kilometres (27.2 mi) east of Viborg, and 224 kilometres (139 mi) northwest of Copenhagen. Randers became a thriving market town in medieval times, and many of its 15th-century half-timbered houses remain today, as does St Martin's Church, also from that period. Trade by sea was facilitated through the Gudenå River, entering Randers Fjord. During industrialization, Randers quickly became one of the most important industrial towns in the country, but it saw itself outpaced by the cities of Aarhus and Aalborg at the beginning of the 20th century. Most of the larger historic industries in Randers are gone today. From 1970, the population saw a decline from a peak of 58,500 citizens, until a stabilization in the 1990s occurred, followed by a modest rise since then.The main tourist attraction is Randers Tropical Zoo thanks to its artificial rainforest, the largest in Northern Europe, its 350 varieties of plant and over 175 species of animals. The city's football team, Randers FC, play their homes games at the AutoC Park Randers, and are in Denmark's first league, the Superligaen. The town is also home to Randers rugby union club and Jutland RLFC, a rugby league team, as well as Randers Cimbria, a Basketligaen team that took 2nd place in the 2013–2014 season.

The Aarhus–Randers line or the Aarhus–Randers railway (Danish: Aarhus-Randers Jernbane) is a 59.2 km (36.8 mi) long standard gauge, double track railway line in Denmark which runs between the cities of Aarhus and Randers in East Jutland. It constitutes a section of Den Østjyske Længdebane, the railway line through the Jutland Peninsula from Padborg to Frederikshavn. The railway opened in 1862. The line is owned and maintained by Rail Net Denmark and served with passenger trains by the Danish State Railways (DSB) and Arriva.

Randers Tropical Zoo (Danish: Randers Regnskov) is an indoor zoo in Randers, Denmark. It is located in three big domes, with the biomes of Africa, Asia, and South America. The domes contain animals from the biomes, and most of the animals live freely in the domes. In addition there are many reptiles, a snakeyard with free harmless snakes, and a saltwater aquarium with tropical fish. The zoo first opened with two domes (Africa and Asia); the third being built later. In total there are approximately 275 animal species in Randers Tropical Zoo; about 200 in the domes and 75 in the saltwater aquarium. The South American dome is 2,000 m2 (22,000 sq ft) and is home to species such as South American tapir, West Indian manatee, callitrichid monkeys and macaws, the African dome is 500 m2 (5,400 sq ft) and is home to species such as lemurs, and the Asian dome is 700 m2 (7,500 sq ft) and is home of species such as pileated gibbon and Komodo dragon. In 2015, an exhibit for jaguars opened, which is the first located outside the domes. Adjacent to the domes is Danmarksparken ("Denmark Park") with farm animals and playgrounds.The climate inside the domes is controlled by computers because the length of daylight hours varies much more in Denmark than in tropical latitudes.

Kulturhuset (The House of Culture) or Randers Kulturhus is a notable landmark building and cultural centre in Randers, Denmark. Kulturhuset was designed by architect Flemming Lassen in the modernist style and built in 1964-1969. The name translates simply as "The House of Culture" and it holds a number of important public cultural institutions.

Randers Municipality is a municipality (Danish, kommune) in Region Midtjylland on the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 748.21 km2 (288.89 sq mi), and has a population of 96,559 (as of 1 April 2014). Its mayor, since 1 January 2018 is Torben Hansen, a member of the Social Democrats. The main town and the site of its municipal council is the city of Randers. The municipality is part of Business Region Aarhus and of the East Jutland metropolitan area, which had a total population of 1.378 million in 2016.

Randers Museum of Art (Danish: Randers Kunstmuseum) is a Danish art museum in Randers in northeastern Jutland, Denmark. The museum is located in the cultural centre of Kulturhuset (The House of Culture) in the town centre and displays many of the major works of Danish painters, especially those of the 19th and 20th centuries.

St Martin's Church (Danish: Sankt Mortens Kirke) is a red brick church in Randers in the north of Jutland, Denmark. It was built from 1494 to 1520 on the site of an earlier church which was first mentioned in 1346.

Randers railway station (Danish: Randers Banegård) is a railway station serving the town of Randers in the East Jutland metropolitan area, Denmark.The station is located on the Aarhus-Aalborg Line from Aarhus to Aalborg, and opened in 1862. It offers direct InterCityLyn and InterCity services to Copenhagen and Aalborg. The train services are operated by DSB.

Memphis Mansion, until 2015 Graceland Randers, is a museum and restaurant in Randers, Denmark. It is dedicated to the rock and roll singer and actor Elvis Presley (1935–1977).

Randers Stadium (Danish: Randers Stadion), known as Cepheus Park Randers for sponsorship reasons (formerly BioNutria Park Randers, Essex Park Randers and AutoC Park Randers) is a football stadium, located in Randers, Denmark. It is the home ground of Randers FC.
