Gelsted

BornHack (a portmanteau of "Bornholm" and "hack") is an annual hacker camp on the Danish island of Funen, near Gelsted. From 2016 to 2018, it was organized on Bornholm.

Ejby is a small railway town in Middelfart Municipality. It lies between Odense station and Middelfart station, on the island of Funen, Region of Southern Denmark, Denmark. It has a population of 2,154 (1 January 2025). Until 1 January 2007, Ejby was the municipal seat of the former Ejby Municipality.

Until 1 January 2007 Ejby Municipality was a municipality (Danish, kommune) in Funen County on the north and west coasts of the island of Funen in southern Denmark. The municipality included the island of Brandsø, covered an area of 163 km2, and had a total population of 10,046 (2005). Its last mayor was Claus Hansen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Ejby. The municipality was created in 1970 by a kommunalreform ("Municipality Reform") that combined the following parishes: Balslev, Brenderup, Ejby, Fjelsted, Gelsted, Harndrup, Husby, Ingslev, Tanderup, and Ørslev. Ejby municipality ceased to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was combined with existing Middelfart and Nørre Aaby municipalities to form an enlarged Middelfart Municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 297 km2 and a total population of 36,113 (2005). The municipality belongs to the Region of Southern Denmark.

Fjelsted is a town located on the island of Funen in south Denmark, in Middelfart Municipality. Fjelsted is located next to the Funen Motorway three kilometers south of Harndrup, 20 kilometers east of Middelfart and 28 kilometers west of Odense.

Fjelsted Speedway Stadium or Hele Fyns Speedway Center is a motorcycle speedway stadium in Harndrup, Denmark. The stadium is the home track for the Fjelsted Speedway Club. The municipality identified the village of Fjelsted for the construction of a motorcycling track in 1971 on the location of an old apple orchard. After joining the Danish Motor Union (DMU) in 1973, a larger track was built three years later in 1976. The stadium held the Danish final of the Speedway World Championship in 1978 and the 1990 Intercontinental final was held at the track. In 2017, the Danish Individual Speedway Championship was held at the stadium for the ninth time in its history.

Aarup is a railway town in central Denmark with a population of 3,237 (1 January 2025), located in Assens municipality on the island of Funen in Region of Southern Denmark. Aarup can trace its history back to 1500, but it did not become a town until the 1860s. It was located in Skydebjerg-Orte municipality until 1966 and was the municipal seat of Aarup Municipality until 2007. Aarup is served by Aarup railway station, located on the railway line across Funen.

Harndrup is a town located on the island of Funen in south Denmark, in Middelfart Municipality.

Brenderup is a town located on the island of Funen in south Denmark, in Middelfart Municipality.

Until 1 January 2007 Nørre Aaby municipality was a municipality (Danish, kommune) in the former Funen County on the north and west coasts of the island of Funen in southern Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 65 km2, and had a total population of 5,626 (2006). Its last mayor was Hanne Christensen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Nørre Aaby. To the north are the waters of Båring Cove (Båring Vig) and beyond that the Kattegat. To the west are the waters of Fem's Cove (Fems Vig) and beyond that the Little Belt. Part of the former municipality formed a spit of land that juts out into the surrounding waters of the Little Belt. The water between the spit and the main part of the municipality is called Gamborg Fjord. Close to the head of the spit is the island of Fænø, and beyond that the Jutland mainland, all in proximity to each other. The waters to the north of this area are called Snævringen ("The Narrowing"); and to the south as there becomes more room they are called Bredningen ("The Broadening"). Nørre Aaby municipality ceased to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was merged with Ejby and Middelfart municipalities to form an enlarged Middelfart municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 297 km2 and a total population of 36,417 (2006). The municipality belong to Region of Southern Denmark.

Before The Municipality Reform of 2007, Aarup was a municipality (Danish, kommune) in Fyns Amt on the island of Funen in central Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 81 km2, and had a total population of 5,480 (2005). Its latest mayor was Lars Kristian Pedersen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal) party. The municipality's main city and the site of its municipal council was the town of Aarup, located just off the E20 between the cities of Odense and Middelfart. The municipality was established in 1966 by combining previously existing Skydebjerg-Orte, Rørup, and Kerte municipalities. Aarup municipality's coat-of-arms was that of the former Rørup municipality, as none of the other municipalities had one at the time of their merger. The coat-of-arms was registered in 1942 (Rørup) and again in 1973 (Aarup). On 1 January 2007, the municipality ceased to exist and was merged with the former Assens, Glamsbjerg, Haarby, Tommerup, and Vissenbjerg municipalities to form the new Assens municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 513 km2 and a total population of 41,201 (2005). The new municipality belongs to the Region of Southern Denmark.

Nørre Åby Efterskole is an efterskole located in Nørre Åby, Middelfart on Funen, Denmark. The efterskole specializes in drama, music, animation, fitness, dance and soccer. It was founded by Olaf Nielsen, when Theodor Jensen left the school in 1886 and the schools attendance rose from 10 to 100 students. The dorms on the school mainly consist of two persons chambers. There is however a few three and four people dorms. Nørre Åby is the town most close to the efterskole.

Vissenbjerg is a town in central Denmark with a population of 3,251 (1 January 2025), located in Assens Municipality in the Region of Southern Denmark on the island of Funen.
