LEAP (Leadership, Education, and Partnership) Academy University Charter School is a charter school that serves students in kindergarten through twelfth grades from Camden, in Camden County, New Jersey, United States. The school operates under the terms of a charter granted by the New Jersey Department of Education. Founded in 1997, the school is split into three divisions, a K-6 lower school, a 7-12 upper school and a STEM high school for grades 9-12.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,559 students and 102.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 15.3:1. There were 1,172 students (75.2% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 131 (8.4% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

St. Joseph Pro-Cathedral is a Catholic parish located on the east side of Camden, New Jersey, United States. It serves as the pro-cathedral of the Diocese of Camden. It is one of two parishes in the city of Camden to be named St. Joseph. The other one is St. Joseph Polish Catholic Church, which was established in 1891.

Cramer Hill is a neighborhood in the East Camden section of the City of Camden, New Jersey. Cramer Hill (and the entire section of East Camden) was formed upon the annexation of Stockton town by the City of Camden on March 24, 1899. In the early days of East Camden, Cramer Hill was one of several constituent neighborhood names that included Pavonia, Beideman, Stockton, Rosedale, and Marlton. The Pavonia name has become obsolete; Beideman was once known as "North Cramer Hill". The boundaries of Cramer Hill are sometimes considered to be State Street to the south, the Pavonia Railroad Yard and railroad lines to the east, 36th Street (also the border with Pennsauken Township) to the north, and the Delaware River to the west. Cramer Hill is located in the northeastern section of Camden. The primary road running through Cramer Hill is River Road, which runs southwest to northeast. River Road is a county road known as CR 543. According to the 2000 U.S. Census, the neighborhood has a population of 4,358.The 36th Street station of the River Line light rail system is located at the northern end of the neighborhood. The 35-acre Cramer Hill Nature Preserve opened in 2019 and is connected to Petty Island by a bridge at 36th Street.

Camden Academy Charter High School is a four-year public charter high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grades from Camden, in Camden County, New Jersey, United States. The school is part of Camden's Promise Charter School and operates under the terms of a charter granted by the New Jersey Department of Education.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 2,244 students and 215.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.4:1. There were 1,703 students (75.9% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 346 (15.4% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Beideman is a neighborhood name in the East Camden section of the City of Camden, New Jersey. According to the 2000 U.S. census, Beideman has a population of 5,677. The neighborhood name Beideman originates from a prominent family that lived there, with several notable members including Benjamin C. Beideman and Horace B. Beideman. The name Beideman has been frequently misspelled as "Biedman" or "Biedeman". The East Camden neighborhoods of Beideman and Pavonia are also considered part of the neighborhood of Cramer Hill.

Eastside High School is a four-year public high school in the City of Camden, in Camden County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, serving students in ninth through twelfth grades as part of the Camden City School District. In June 2020, it was announced that the school would be renamed; the change from Woodrow Wilson High School was made official in January 2022. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 524 students and 60.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 8.7:1. There were 268 students (51.1% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 2 (0.4% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

A statue of Christopher Columbus stood in Camden, New Jersey, United States. The memorial was removed in June 2020. Levi Coombs III, pastor of the nearby First Refuge Progressive Baptist Church, stated that residents had called for the removal of the statue for 40 years but been ignored until the aftermath of the George Floyd protests. Camden Mayor Frank Moran stated, "There were a lot of atrocities toward the human beings that were on the island of Puerto Rico and other Caribbean islands by this individual, and I believe [the statue] is and was offensive to all people of color, whether black or brown."

Stockton is a neighborhood and former municipality in Camden, New Jersey, United States. It has a population of 6,479.Stockton was incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 23, 1859, from portions of Delaware Township (now Cherry Hill). Portions of the township were taken to form Merchantville on March 3, 1874, and Pennsauken Township on February 18, 1892. Based on the results of a referendum that passed on March 22, 1894, Stockton was reincorporated as a town as of May 1, 1894. On March 24, 1899, Stockton was annexed by the City of Camden.

Gateway Park is a 25-acre (10 ha) riverfront park in Camden and Pennsauken Township, New Jersey that runs along a half mile section of the Cooper River. It consists of a one-mile paved multi use trail for walking and casual biking. Future plans call for creation of a boat launch for paddled vessels such as canoes and kayaks. The trail is connected with the regional Circuit Trails initiative, a network of trails across multiple parks in the Greater Philadelphia region that connect southern New Jersey to Pennsylvania. The park is a member of Alliance for Watershed Education of the Delaware River which actively promotes the understanding and value of the Delaware River watershed.This is an urban park that is part of the revitalization of the Camden waterfront. The tract was previously filled with derelict buildings and seedy establishments. Gateway Park is one of a number of parks in the Camden area that are contributing to the revitalization of the Camden waterfront which also includes the recently opened Cramer Hill Preserve, Petty's Island nature preserve and Coopers Poynt Waterfront park among others.Gateway Park is owned by Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority (CCMUA) and is managed by New Jersey Conservation Foundation.

36th Street is an NJ Transit station on the River Line light rail system, located off 36th Street and River Road in the Delaware Gardens neighborhood of Pennsauken Township, in Camden County, New Jersey, United States. It is situated north of Pavonia Yard at the city line with Camden, and as such is the southernmost station of three along the River Line within Pennsauken. The station opened on March 15, 2004. Southbound service from the station is available to the Walter Rand Transportation Center, with transfer available to the PATCO Speedline, and the Camden Waterfront. Northbound service is available to the Pennsauken Transit Center with connection to Atlantic City via the Atlantic City Line and Trenton Transit Center with connections to New Jersey Transit trains to Newark Penn Station, New York Penn Station, SEPTA trains to Philadelphia, and Amtrak trains.

Stockton Township was a township that existed in Camden County, New Jersey, United States, from 1859 until its dissolution in 1899. However, in the 1850 US Census, Stockton Township is the given enumeration district. Stockton Township was incorporated by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 23, 1859, from portions of Delaware Township (now Cherry Hill Township).On March 3, 1874, the borough of Merchantville was formed from portions of the township. Pennsauken Township was established on February 18, 1892.Stockton was reincorporated as a town on May 1, 1894, based on the results of a referendum held on March 22, 1894.On March 24, 1899, the remaining portion of Stockton was annexed by the City of Camden, thereby forming "East Camden" and its constituent neighborhoods of Cramer Hill, Pavonia, Beideman, Stockton, etc. Stockton Township was dissolved.
