Durgerdam

The Sluishuis (Dutch for 'sluice house') is an apartment building in IJburg, a neighbourhood on artificial islands in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The building, which opened on 13 July 2022, was designed by Bjarke Ingels Group, an architecture firm based in Copenhagen and New York City, in collaboration with Rotterdam-based Barcode Architects.

The Enneüs Heerma Bridge (Dutch: Enneüs Heermabrug) is a bridge in Amsterdam, Netherlands located in the new neighbourhood of IJburg, built on seven artificial islands in the IJmeer. It connects the district of Zeeburgereiland, on the eastern edge of the city, with Steigereiland, to the south. The bridge is named after Enneüs Heerma, who served as Leader of the Christian Democratic Appeal, alderman in Amsterdam and State Secretary twice under Prime Minister Ruud Lubbers. Alongside the Nescio Bridge which is a cycle and footbridge connecting IJburg to East Amsterdam, it is one of the neighbourhood's best known landmarks.

Zeeburg is a former borough of Amsterdam. It had 52,701 residents (January 2009) and an area of 19.31 km². The construction of new islands to the east called IJburg made it the most rapidly growing borough of Amsterdam. On 1 May 2010 Zeeburg merged with the borough of Amsterdam-Oost.

The Zeeburgereiland is a triangular island on the east side of Amsterdam, in the Dutch province of North Holland. It lies between the Oranje Locks and the Diemerzeedijk and on the east is bordered by the IJ. Formerly an industrial area, the island is being redeveloped as part of the IJburg new neighbourhood. It is crossed by the A10 motorway and, since 2005, the IJ Tram line of the Amsterdam Tram system.

Ransdorp is a village in the province of North Holland, Netherlands, part of the municipality of Amsterdam. It lies about 7 km northeast of the city centre, in the Landelijk Noord district. Ransdorp is a part of the borough (Dutch: stadsdeel) Amsterdam-Noord and has about 245 inhabitants.In 1840, the village had 292 inhabitants, living in 44 houses. Ransdorp was a separate municipality until 1921, when it merged with Amsterdam so that the Government of Amsterdam could ensure that the village's infrastructure was well-maintained. The municipality also covered the villages of Durgerdam, Holysloot and Schellingwoude. The village has an exceptional number of buildings labelled as Rijksmonumenten; its church is the best known. The village's main sources of revenue are dairy farming and tourism. Ransdorp is served by public bus lines operated by the Gemeentelijk Vervoerbedrijf (GVB). Ransdorp was visited by the American reality television show The Amazing Race 12 in 2007. Contestants had to perform a traditional fierljeppen river vault before completing the "leg" at a local yacht club in Durgerdam. The show returned to the village five years later on The Amazing Race 21 to perform a "Switchback" of fierljeppen task again before ending the leg near the church of Ransdorp. In 2016, the village was featured on the Chinese reality show Race the World as the site of a geese herding task. In 2020, the village appeared on the Israeli reality show HaMerotz LaMillion 8 as the site of a fierljeppen task.

Amsterdamse Sport Vereniging De Dijk are a Dutch amateur association football club from the Amsterdam borough of Amsterdam-Noord, in the neighborhood of Schellingwoude. The club was founded on 1 June 1999 out of a fusion of two clubs, Rood Wit-A and ASV Schellingwoude. The club hold a Sunday team, competing in the Derde Divisie (formerly Topklasse).

Zunderdorp (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈzʏndərˌdɔr(ə)p]) is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Amsterdam, and lies about 7 km northeast of Amsterdam. In 2001, the town of Zunderdorp had 237 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.05 km², and contained 91 residences. The village is a part of the deelgemeente (sub-municipality or borough) Amsterdam-Noord.

The Nescio Bridge (or Nesciobrug in Dutch) is a cycle and footbridge in the Netherlands. This curved, steel suspension bridge, located in Amsterdam, is the country's first suspension bridge that carries only a cycle track and footway, and at almost 800 metres length it is also one of the country's longest cycle and footbridges. Additionally, it is the longest single cable suspension bridge in the Netherlands.The bridge was designed by Jim Eyre of London-based Wilkinson Eyre Architects, in cooperation with two multinational engineering consultancy firms: London-based ARUP group and Netherlands-based Grontmij. The design stands out by using a single, self-anchored cable. The bridge has won several awards, including the 2007 IstructE Pedestrian Bridges Award, the 2007 Arthur G. Hayden Medal from the International Bridge Conference in Pittsburgh, and the 2006 Dutch national award for building in steel (the Nationale Staalprijs).

Diemerpark is the largest urban park in Amsterdam with an area of around 90 hectares, making it about twice as large as the famous Vondelpark in Amsterdam-Centrum. Diemerpark, located between IJburg and the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal, was opened in 2004 and offers numerous recreational opportunities for visitors.

Rieteilanden (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈrit.ɛiˌlɑndə(n)]) is a neighborhood of Amsterdam, Netherlands.

IJburg (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɛibʏr(ə)x]) is a residential neighbourhood under construction in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is situated in the IJmeer and is being built on artificial islands which have been raised from the lake. The Haveneiland, Rieteilanden, Steigereiland and Centrumeiland are already inhabited as of 2004. It is part of the municipality Amsterdam-Oost and also contains the Diemerpark, one of the city's largest parks.
