The Church of St. Joseph is a former parish church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located at 5 Monroe Street in the neighborhoods of Chinatown and Two Bridges in Manhattan, New York City. It is now administered by the Parish of Transfiguration and of St. James/St. Joseph. The Parish of St. Joseph had merged with the former neighboring Parish of St. Joachim in 1957. In 2007, it was merged again with the nearby Parish of St. James. Finally, in 2015, the parish was merged with the Church of the Transfiguration.

51 Market Street, also known as the William and Rosamond Clark House, is a historic house located between Madison and Monroe Streets in lower Manhattan in New York City. The two-story gambrelled house was built in 1824–25 in the late Federal style at a time when the Lower East Side was an affluent residential neighborhood. The original owner was apparently William Clark, a grocer. The upper two stories were added late in the 19th century. The house has been described as a "superb" example of the Federal style.51 Market Street was designated a New York City landmark in 1965, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Two Bridges is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Manhattan, nestled at the southern end of the Lower East Side and Chinatown on the East River waterfront, near the footings of the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge. The neighborhood has been considered to be a part of the Lower East Side for much of its history. Two Bridges has traditionally been an immigrant neighborhood, previously populated by immigrants from Europe, and more recently from Latin America and China. The Two Bridges Historic District was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in September 2003.Two Bridges has a mix of tenement style walk-up buildings and high-rise buildings that include mixed-income and affordable housing developments as well as public housing provided by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA).

Knickerbocker Village Limited is a housing development situated between the Manhattan Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge, in the Two Bridges section of the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York City. Although the location was generally considered to fall in the Lower East Side, it has come to be thought of as part of Chinatown in recent years and the majority of residents are Chinese. It is located a short distance from New York City Hall, Civic Center, and the South Street Seaport. The Sea and Land Church (known as the Northeast Dutch Reformed Church until 1864) is located at 61 Henry Street and Market Street in the Chinatown and Two Bridges neighborhoods of Manhattan in New York City. It was built in 1819 of Manhattan schist, and added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 9, 1980. The structure is one of the three Georgian Gothic Revival churches on the Lower East Side with the other ones being St. Augustine's Chapel and the Church of the Transfiguration. It is also the second oldest church building in New York City. The church stands on land that was once part of Henry Rutgers' estate, which he donated in 1816 to establish the Northeast Dutch Reformed Church (also known as the Market Street Church). Rutgers served on the consistory. Noted minister Theodore L. Cuyler was pastor from 1853 to 1860 when he accepted a position at Park Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn. The church's organ was built by Henry Erben and dates to 1841.By 1866, most of the Dutch Reformed congregation had moved uptown, and shipping merchant Hanson K. Corning purchased the building on behalf of the Presbytery of New-York to serve seamen and their families. The Sea and Land Church sponsored steamboat excursions for its Sunday School to Dudley's Grove, just below Hastings-on-Hudson. In 1894, the church affiliated with the Madison Square Presbyterian Church as a means of survival, but this did not last.Since 1951, the church building has been used by the First Chinese Presbyterian Church, a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA), which shared the site with the Sea and Land Church until 1972 when that congregation was dissolved. In 1974 the Presbytery of New York City officially transferred the church building to the First Chinese Presbyterian Church.

Hamilton-Madison House is a voluntary, non-profit settlement house dedicated to improving the quality of life of its community, primarily that of the Two Bridges/Chinatown area of the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York City, United States. The neighborhood is a federally designated poverty area, with a constantly changing mixture of ethnic groups, and lack of adequate services and resources. An average income of a family living in the area is $17,000. Further, more than 25% of the seniors live on less than $15,000 a year, of which 40% goes toward housing. In the past 108 years, Hamilton-Madison House has developed programs that meet the changing needs of its community. In 1965, with a change in federal immigration policies, the community's predominant immigrant became Chinese New Yorkers. Since that time, the organization's staff has grown to include a staff of 300 who collectively speak 15 languages, including 6 Chinese dialects. Further, the House's long-standing programs have been adapted to meet the cultural norms of this expanding population.

First Shearith Israel Graveyard', also known as Chatham Square Cemetery, is a tiny Jewish graveyard at 55-57 St. James Place in the Two Bridges neighborhood of Lower Manhattan, New York City. It is the oldest of three Manhattan graveyards currently maintained by Congregation Shearith Israel (Hebrew, "Remnant of Israel"), which is itself the oldest Jewish congregation in North America. (The Congregation was formed by Spanish and Portuguese Sephardic Jewish immigrants in 1654.) Today, the cemetery is a mere fragment of its original extent. Only about a hundred headstones and above ground tombs can still be seen in what remains of the old burial ground, which rises slightly above street level. It is the only remaining 17th century structure in Manhattan.

The Alfred E. Smith House is a historic rowhouse at 25 Oliver Street in the Two Bridges section of Lower Manhattan. Probably built in the late 19th century, it was the home of four-time governor of New York State and 1928 Democratic presidential candidate Alfred E. Smith (1873-1944). Smith lived here from 1907 to 1923. The house was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1965.
