Etz Chaim Yeshiva was founded in 1886 on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York City. The institution was originally established as a cheder-style elementary school. In 1915, it merged with the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary to form the Rabbinical College of America. After the merger, the elementary grades of Etz Chaim were discontinued, and only the high school remained. This high school eventually became today's Marsha Stern Talmudical Academy. Over time, the Rabbinical College of America evolved into Yeshiva College and later into Yeshiva University.

51 Market Street, also known as the William and Rosamond Clark House, is a historic house located between Madison and Monroe Streets in lower Manhattan in New York City. The two-story gambrelled house was built in 1824–25 in the late Federal style at a time when the Lower East Side was an affluent residential neighborhood. The original owner was apparently William Clark, a grocer. The upper two stories were added late in the 19th century. The house has been described as a "superb" example of the Federal style.51 Market Street was designated a New York City landmark in 1965, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

The Museum at Eldridge Street is a museum located within the Eldridge Street Synagogue that tells the story of its congregation and contemporary Jewish culture and practice. While historically part of the Lower East Side of Manhattan, Chinatown has expanded east and the museum is considered to be part of both neighborhoods. The museum, which was designed by Walter Sedovic and Jill H. Gotthelf, opened in December 2007 following the synagogue's twenty-year renovation, during which time it was known as the Eldridge Street Project. The capstone of the renovation was the installation of Kiki Smith and Deborah Gans' stained glass window to replace a plain one that congregation had installed to protect the sanctuary when funds were limited. The museum later played host to an exhibit dedicated to Smith's work.In addition to telling the history of the synagogue's congregation, restoration, and the neighborhood's history, the museum also tells the story of other neighboring organizations, such as The Forward, and the broader Jewish community. The museum's "Egg Rolls, Egg Creams and Empanadas" Festival, held annually in June, celebrates the neighborhood's diversity.

The Eldridge Street Synagogue is a synagogue and National Historic Landmark in Chinatown, Manhattan, New York City. Built in 1887, it is one of the first synagogues erected in the United States by Eastern European Jews. The Orthodox congregation that constructed the synagogue moved into the downstairs beth midrash in the 1950s, and the main sanctuary was unused until the 1980s, when it was restored to become the Museum at Eldridge Street.

The Church of St. Joseph is a former parish church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located at 5 Monroe Street in the neighborhoods of Chinatown and Two Bridges in Manhattan, New York City. It is now administered by the Parish of Transfiguration and of St. James/St. Joseph. The Parish of St. Joseph had merged with the former neighboring Parish of St. Joachim in 1957. In 2007, it was merged again with the nearby Parish of St. James. Finally, in 2015, the parish was merged with the Church of the Transfiguration.
