Frome Street

Frome Road is a connecting road in the South Australian capital city of Adelaide. It starts from North Terrace in the Adelaide city centre, running in a northerly direction past the University of South Australia, the site of the old Royal Adelaide Hospital, now known as Lot Fourteen, the Institute of Medical and Veterinary Science and the University of Adelaide, and then through the Adelaide Parklands to the Adelaide Zoo where it turns northeasterly, crosses the River Torrens via Albert Bridge, and continues through the parklands to the intersection with Melbourne Street and Brougham Place in North Adelaide. It is one of the three roads connecting the city centre to North Adelaide, the others being King William Road and Montefiore Road. The road (and street) are named after Edward Charles Frome, a Surveyor General of South Australia.Frome Road is continued south into the city square as Frome Street, which was built in the 1960s and runs through the Adelaide city centre from North Terrace to Carrington Street. Adelaide Botanic High School opened in January 2019 on Frome Road.

Frome Central Tower One is a mixed use hotel and residential skyscraper in Adelaide, South Australia. The tower stands at a height of 138 metres.

Lot Fourteen is a development site in the Australian state of South Australia which accommodated the old Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) at the eastern end of North Terrace, Adelaide and which became vacant after the hospital function was moved to a new building at the western end of North Terrace in 2017. Its name was derived from the original 1837 plan for Adelaide by surveyor-general Colonel William Light. By 2020, refurbished hospital buildings were home to a large number of tenants, and further new buildings and public spaces are planned, scheduled for completion around 2025. Some non-heritage buildings were demolished. The redevelopment of the site is led by the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, headed by state premier Steven Marshall since late 2018. The 7 ha (17-acre) site is in within the cultural precinct of the city, next to the Adelaide Botanic Garden and with the University of Adelaide, University of South Australia, Adelaide Botanic High School and the Art Gallery of South Australia as close neighbours. The urban planning arm of the South Australian government, Renewal SA, is responsible for the redevelopment of the site. A mixed development, incorporating cultural institutions as well as residential, hotel and office uses is planned. Federal funds have been injected into the project, under an agreement known as the "Adelaide City Deal". The Aboriginal Art and Cultures Centre (AACC), also known as Tarrkarri, a new Aboriginal cultural centre and gallery planned for completion in 2024/5, will be the centrepiece of the development. This will exhibit a large number of cultural artefacts currently in storage in the South Australian Museum as well as artefacts and works of art sourced elsewhere. An entrepreneurial hub known as FIXE@LotFourteen (Future Industries Exchange for Entrepreneurship at Lot Fourteen) is being developed. A new 16-storey building will house the Entrepreneurial and Innovation Centre. The headquarters of the Australian Space Agency, a Commonwealth government department, are located in the McEwin Building, along with SmartSat CRC and other space-related companies. The Australian Cyber Collaboration Centre (A3C) is housed in the Eleanor Harrald Building (former nurses' quarters), along with other technology businesses such as Inovor Technologies (space technology) and Presagen (health technology). The Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML), an artificial intelligence research institute created collaboratively by the state government and the University of Adelaide, is located in the south-western corner of the precinct. The Stone & Chalk start-up hub, in the old Allied Health Building, houses the MIT's bigdata Living Lab, along with 45 technology-focused enterprises. An International Centre for Food, Hospitality and Tourism Studies is also being planned for the site.

The radio station can also be accessed through iHeartRadio and the Live Player on their website and via the free Fresh 92.7 App, available via the App Store and Google Play.Fresh Broadcasters Incorporated is the name of the incorporated body under which Fresh 92.7 sits and 5FBI is their call sign. Over the last 20 years, Fresh 92.7 has grown to become the most listened to community broadcaster in South Australia, with an established weekly listenership of over 196,000. Fresh is dedicated to educating and empowering Adelaide's youth community and supporting Adelaide's burgeoning electronic music scene. Fresh 92.7 provides opportunities for youth that provide tangible pathways to careers in the music and media industries, while cultivating other skills in administration, events and information technology. The mission of the organisation is to represent youth issues and provide opportunity for volunteers to connect and form community within the organisation. The organisation is overseen by a volunteer board of between six and ten professionals, runs on 14 staff, and is supported by over 180 volunteers (known as members) in a range of capacities. It employs professionals with extensive radio experience to guide the volunteer team and to ensure the station complies with licence obligations. Fresh 92.7 relies on client sponsorship; Fresh Mate subscribers; revenue from the EDM Production Course, merchandise sales, and their Book-a-DJ service; grant funding; and donations as sources of revenue.

Ayers House is the present-day name for a historic mansion on North Terrace, Adelaide, South Australia. It is named after Sir Henry Ayers, five times Premier of South Australia and wealthy industrialist, who occupied it from 1855 until 1897. It is the only mansion on North Terrace to have survived. The house has been listed on the South Australian Heritage Register since July 1980.

The Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH), colloquially known by its initials or pronounced as "the Rah", is South Australia's largest hospital, owned by the state government as part of Australia's public health care system. The RAH provides tertiary health care services for South Australia and provides secondary care clinical services to residents of Adelaide's central metropolitan area, which includes the inner suburbs. The original Adelaide Hospital was built in 1840 at the eastern end of North Terrace, Adelaide, with its first building superseded in 1856 and many alterations and additions over the following 175 years. It was prefixed by the "Royal" in 1939. In 2017 it was replaced by the new hospital, built at the western end of North Terrace. The new hospital is the most expensive building ever built in Australia, and the most expensive hospital ever built anywhere in the world, at US$2.44 billion in construction and equipment costs. The redevelopment on the site of the old RAH is known as Lot Fourteen.

The Adelaide International Jubilee Exhibition of 1887 was a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Queen Victoria's accession to the throne on 20 June 1837, held in Adelaide, South Australia in 1887. It was also a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Proclamation of South Australia which occurred around six months earlier, on 28 December 1886.

Adelaide Law School is a law school in Adelaide, Australia and is part of the University of Adelaide. It is the second oldest law school in Australia having been founded in 1883 and offers undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications. There have been many notable alumni including: jurist John Finnis, International Court of Justice's judge James Crawford, Minister of Foreign Affairs Julie Bishop, Minister for Defence Industry Christopher Pyne, Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Penny Wong, Premier of South Australia Jay Weatherill, and the first female Prime Minister of Australia, Julia Gillard. The Interim Dean of Law is Professor Christopher Symes.

The Jubilee Exhibition Building in Adelaide, South Australia, was built to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Queen Victoria's accession to the throne on 20 June 1837. The jubilees of her Coronation on 28 June 1838, and of the Proclamation of South Australia on 28 December 1836, were also invoked on occasion. The building, increasingly referred to as the Exhibition Building, was located opposite the corner of North Terrace and Pulteney Street. on what is now the University of Adelaide's North Terrace campus, between Bonython Hall and the old School of Mines building (now UniSA's City East campus) on the Frome Road corner. It was opened on 20 June 1887 and was used until the mid 1920s. In 1929 the land and building were transferred to the University, and the building was demolished in 1962 to make way for the Napier building. There were two fountains in front of the building. One is now located in front of the Rundle Mall entrance to the Adelaide Arcade, the other in the Creswell Gardens.

Burger Theory is a chain of hamburger restaurants based in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded as a food truck in 2011, they expanded to operate three stores in the state. In 2019, they reduced business to a single store following changes to their recipe.
