There are relatively few roads in the watershed of the creek and the significant majority of the watershed is forested land. The creek is named, but has not been assessed.

It is relatively unlikely that the creek will experience water pollution. The main rock formations in the vicinity of the creek include the Mauch Chunk Formation and the Pocono Formation. The creek is considered to be a Coldwater Fishery.

It is considered to be a High-Quality Coldwater Fishery (although it was a Coldwater Fishery in the past) and Class A Wild Trout Waters. Creasy Creek has one named tributary and at least one unnamed tributary.

The Francis E. Walter Dam is an embankment dam located in Bear Creek Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, U.S. Constructed in 1961 by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, it spans the Lehigh River at its confluence with the tributary Bear Creek, creating the Francis E. Walter Reservoir. Although the dam was originally constructed for flood management, its reservoir has since become a popular recreational area for fishing, kayaking, and boating. Its original name was Bear Creek Dam, but was renamed for local United States Representative Francis E. Walter in 1963.

Conety Run (also known as Conety's Run) is a tributary of Little Nescopeck Creek in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is approximately 3.6 miles (5.8 km) long and flows through Fairview Township and Dennison Township. The watershed of the stream has an area of 2.32 square miles (6.0 km2). The stream is designated as Class A Wild Trout Waters, but was historically stocked. It has an alkalinity concentration of 2 milligrams per liter, but is slightly acidic. The surficial geology in its vicinity mainly consists of alluvium, Wisconsinan Till, Wisconsinan Ice-Contact Stratified Drift, and bedrock consisting of sandstone and shale.

It is approximately 8.2 miles (13.2 km) long and flows through Bear Creek Township, Fairview Township, and Dennsion Township. The watershed of the creek has an area of 10.7 square miles (28 km2). The creek has one named tributary, which is known as Conety Run. Little Nescopeck Creek is designated as a Coldwater Fishery and Class A Wild Trout Waters. It is one of the main sources of flooding in Dennison Township. The surficial geology in the vicinity of the creek mainly features alluvium, Wisconsinan Till, Wisconsinan Ice-Contact Stratified Drift, bedrock, and fill. Little Nescopeck Creek shares its name with another river in southern Luzerne county.

On May 21, 2000, a British Aerospace BAe-3101 Jetstream 3101 operated by East Coast Aviation Services (known operationally as Executive Airlines) crashed into mountainous terrain in Bear Creek Township, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The plane was carrying 17 professional gamblers returning home from Caesar's Palace Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, along with 2 crew members. It was chartered by Caesar's Palace (New Jersey). All 19 passengers and crews on board were killed on impact. This accident, alongside the accident of Aerocaribe Flight 7831 were the accidents with the most fatalities involving the Jetstream 3101 airliner. An investigation was conducted by the National Transportation Safety Board. It found that while the aircraft was approaching Scranton International Airport, it ran out of fuel. The investigation found that the crews were supposed to refill the aircraft with a total of 180 gallons of fuel. Instead, they refilled with 90 gallons. Although the final report concluded that fuel exhaustion was the cause of the crash, it was not received warmly by some relatives of the victims. Several of them filled lawsuits against Executive Airlines and British Aerospace. Executive Airlines chief executive Michael Peragine questioned the NTSB report, claiming that it dismissed several other factors that might have been beneficial to the investigation.
