Alvin High School is a public high school located in the city of Alvin, Texas, United States and classified as a 6A school by the University Interscholastic League (UIL). It is a part of the Alvin Independent School District located in central Brazoria County. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.

Alvin is also the home town of professional pitcher Nathan Eovaldi and professional football quarterback Joe Ferguson.

On May 18, 2018, a school shooting occurred at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Texas, United States, in the Houston metropolitan area. Ten people – eight students and two teachers – were fatally shot, and thirteen others were wounded. Dimitrios Pagourtzis, a 17-year-old student at the school, was taken into custody. The shooting is the eighth-deadliest high school shooting in the United States.

In addition to Santa Fe, its district serves parts of League City, La Marque, Hitchcock, and Dickinson.In 2018, the school became the scene of the third deadliest high school shooting in United States history when a 17 year old junior of the school killed 10 people - 8 students and 2 teachers- before being taken into custody.

The school serves grades 9 through 12, and is a part of the Friendswood Independent School District (ISD). The school district was established on December 21, 1948, and covers 15 square miles (39 km2). It borders the Alvin, Pearland and Clear Creek school districts. Most of the city of Friendswood is within Friendswood ISD and is zoned to Friendswood High School. All students in Friendswood ISD public schools attend Friendswood High School.
