Lime Ridge is a census-designated place (CDP) in Columbia County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The population was 890 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Bloomsburg-Berwick micropolitan area. Lime Ridge is named for limestone deposits in the area.

The Bloomsburg–Berwick Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), as defined by the United States Census Bureau, is an area consisting of two counties in Pennsylvania, anchored by the town of Bloomsburg and the borough of Berwick. As of the 2010 census, the MSA had a population of 85,562 (though a July 1, 2013 estimate placed the population at 85,338).

Columbia-Montour Area Vocational-Technical School is located in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, United States. It is a full-time area vocational-technical school that serves the youth of Columbia and Montour counties in Pennsylvania. CMAVTS offers 17 training areas to secondary students in grades 9 through 12. In ninth grade, students are put through an exploratory program where they go through four programs through the course of a school year. In tenth grade they choose their "major" to focus on, up until graduation in 12th grade. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, in 2010, the school reported an enrollment of 633 pupils. The school employed 43.5 teachers yielding a student teacher ratio of 14:1.The school is an extension of the educational programs of the seven participating school districts. The option of vocational education at the Columbia-Montour AVTS gives students a full range of educational choices. In addition to the traditional high school student, they also offer education options to adults with evening and summers with their adult education classes. Central Columbia High School students may choose to attend Columbia-Montour Area Vocational-Technical School for training in the trades and service industry. The Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit CSIU16 provides the school with a wide variety of services like specialized education for disabled students and hearing, speech and visual disability services and professional development for staff and faculty.

Main Township is a township in Columbia County, Pennsylvania. It is part of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The population was 1,272 at the 2020 census. Main Township was settled in 1772 and incorporated in 1844. The iron industry was once preeminent in the township.

Cabin Run is a tributary of West Branch Briar Creek in Columbia County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is approximately 1.2 miles (1.9 km) long and flows through North Centre Township. The watershed of the stream has an area of 0.72 square miles (1.9 km2). The waters of the stream are slightly acidic. Its watershed lies over shale and siltstone. Several early attempts at settlement on Cabin Run occurred in 1777 and 1778.

Scotch Run is one of the main tributaries of Catawissa Creek in Columbia County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is approximately 7.8 miles (12.6 km) long and flows through Beaver Township and Main Township. The stream's watershed has an area of 9.10 square miles (23.6 km2). The stream is infertile and acidic. It is 7.2 feet (2.2 m) wide in its upper reaches and 17.0 feet (5.2 m) wide in its lower reaches. The main rock formations in the watershed include the Mauch Chunk Formation, the Pocono Formation, the Pottsville Formation, and the Spechty Kopf Formation. The main soils include Leck Kill soil and Hazleton soil. It flows between Nescopeck Mountain and McCauley Mountain. Nearly all of Scotch Run's length is within 1,640 feet (500 m) of a road. However, most of its length is not within 328 feet (100 m) of one. Part of Pennsylvania State Game Lands Number 58 is in the watershed and ephemeral natural pool system is located near the stream. The area in the vicinity of the stream was settled relatively late compared to the surrounding areas. The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission carried out a survey of the creek in 1977. Scotch Run is designated as a Coldwater Fishery and a Migratory Fishery. In 1997, three species of fish were observed in the upper reaches of the stream, while eight species were observed in the lower reaches. Both reaches contained brown trout and brook trout. There is a hemlock-mixed hardwood palustrine forest along the stream.

Fisher Run is a tributary of Catawissa Creek in Columbia County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is approximately 2.9 miles (4.7 km) long and flows through Main Township and Beaver Township. The stream is impaired by acid mine drainage. It is considered to be a high-quality coldwater fishery and Class A Wild Trout Waters. The watershed of the stream has an area of 3.03 square miles (7.8 km2).
