Hanna-Barbera Land was a theme park based on the cartoons of the Hanna-Barbera animation studio. It was located in the Spring, Texas, United States, north of Houston, and operated for the 1984 and 1985 seasons. Students who currently attend Dekaney High School, Spring High School and Westfield High School are allowed to attend Wunsche. As of 2017, about 850 students attend the school. The first official class of Wunsche graduated in 2019.

Played in October for its first eight years, it changed to early May in 2012. Insperity, previously known as Administaff, has been the event's main sponsor since its debut. The purse for 2018 is $2.2 million, with a winner's share of $330,000.

David Wayne Hooks Memorial Airport (IATA: DWH, ICAO: KDWH, FAA LID: DWH) is a public-use airport located near the city of Tomball in unincorporated Harris County, Texas. It is 23 miles (37 km) northwest of the central business district of Houston. It is the busiest general aviation airport in Texas and one of the busiest general aviation airports in the United States. The airport is privately owned by Jag Gill.The airport is notable because it is one of only a few privately owned airports with a Federal Aviation Administration control tower; the airport is owned by Jag Gill and managed by Roger Schmidt.On June 27, 2007, The Texas State Legislature approved Tomball's request to annex Hooks Airport even though the airport does not border the Tomball city limits. Since the airport is in the city of Houston's extraterritorial jurisdiction, the city of Tomball must get permission from Houston to annex the airport. As of summer of 2010, the annex still has not been finalized.

On July 9, 2014, a mass shooting occurred in a home located in northern Harris County, Texas, near the Spring census-designated place, a suburban area of the Greater Houston area, leaving six family members dead, four children, and a lone survivor. Ronald Lee Haskell, 34, was apprehended after a standoff that lasted several hours. Haskell was related to the victims via his ex-wife.

Spring High School's mascot is the lion. School colors are black, green, and white. Oren Chappell was principal of the school in the early 1980s. Gloria Marshall was the principal of Spring High School from 1985 until June 2007. Dean Borg served as principal for the 2007-2008 school year and Donna Ullrich was named principal on July 3, 2008.. Diaka R. Carter was appointed as the new principal in 2016. As of the 2011-2012 school year, Spring High School is the largest campus in Spring ISD. Spring High School was named a 1992-93 National Blue Ribbon School.

On September 4, 2013, one student was killed and three others were wounded in a stabbing attack at Spring High School in Spring, Texas, United States. A 17-year-old student, identified as Luis Alonzo Alfaro, was arrested and charged for the murder. In September 2014, Alfaro was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 20 years in prison.The stabbing raised issues of gang and racial tensions among the Spring High School community and local community leaders.
