Land Reform Museum

Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, land reform in Taiwan capped farm rents and redistributed farmland to Taiwanese tenant farmers. The reforms occurred in three main stages. First, in 1949, farm rents were capped at 37.5% of yields. Second, starting in 1951, public land was sold to tenant farmers. Finally, starting in 1953, large landholdings were broken up and redistributed to tenant farmers--a "land-to-the-tiller" reform.In the 1950s, after the Nationalist government fled to Taiwan, land reform and community development were carried out by the Sino-American Joint Commission on Rural Reconstruction. The course of action was made attractive, in part, by the fact that many of the large landowners were Japanese who had fled, and the other large landowners were compensated with Japanese commercial and industrial properties seized after Taiwan had reverted from Japanese rule in 1945. The land program succeeded also because the Kuomintang were mostly from Mainland China and so had few ties to the remaining indigenous landowners.

The Taipei Municipal Stadium (Chinese: 臺北田徑場 or 台北田徑場; pinyin: Táiběi Tiánjìng Chǎng) is a multi-purpose stadium in Taipei, Taiwan. The original stadium, built in 1956, was used mostly for track and field events. Entertainer Michael Jackson performed two concerts there during his Dangerous World Tour on 4 and 6 September 1993 in front of a crowd of 80,000.The stadium was demolished and reconstructed for the 2009 Summer Deaflympics between December 2006 and July 2009. The new stadium is able to hold 20,000 people. On 3 July 2011, the stadium recorded its highest attendance for a football game when Chinese Taipei hosted Malaysia in the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification - AFC First Round second leg match, when 15,335 spectators attended the game. In 2013, 500 people showed up at the stadium for a domestic league match between association football clubs Taipower FC and Tatung FC.The stadium is accessible from the Taipei Arena station of the Taipei Metro.

Taipei City Arts Promotion Office (traditional Chinese: 臺北市藝文推廣處; simplified Chinese: 台北市艺文推广处; pinyin: Táiběi Shì Yìwén Tuīguǎng Chù) is a cultural center in Songshan District, Taipei, Taiwan.

The Taipei Municipal Baseball Stadium (Chinese: 台北市立棒球場; pinyin: Táiběi Shìlì Bàngqiúchǎng) was a baseball park located in the Songshan District of Taipei, Taiwan. It was opened in 1959, and hosted numerous major baseball games over the years, including the CPBL's first game in 1990 between Uni-President Lions and Brother Elephants. During its professional years, the stadium was frequently taken as the home stadium of Brother Elephants, Wei Chuan Dragons, and Mercuries Tigers. It was closed and demolished in 2000. Its site is currently occupied by the Taipei Arena. Its role in professional baseball was filled by Tianmu Baseball Stadium across town and Xinzhuang Baseball Stadium in nearby Taipei County (now New Taipei City).

The Taipei Arena (Chinese: 臺北小巨蛋; pinyin: Táiběi xiǎo jùdàn; Wade–Giles: T'ai2pei3 hsiao3 chü4tan4; lit. 'Taipei little big egg') is a multi-purpose stadium located in Songshan, Taipei, Taiwan, and it is operated by the Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC). Built in 2005, the large multi-purpose stadium can accommodate major international sport events such as ice skating, ice hockey, gymnastics, handball, basketball, tennis, badminton, table tennis, indoor soccer, boxing, judo, karate, taekwondo and wrestling.

Breeze Nan Jing (Chinese: 微風南京) is a shopping mall in Songshan District, Taipei, Taiwan that opened on September 1, 2013. It was first opened in 1983 and previously known as Asiaworld Shopping Mall. Core stores of the mall include Muji, Starbucks, and Uniqlo.
