Radio Wey is a hospital radio station based at St Peters Hospital in Chertsey, England. It provides entertainment to the patients and staff of Ashford and St Peters Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The station broadcasts using WiFi speakers at St Peters Hospital and Ashford Hospital, as well as on the internet to the local community of North West Surrey and Middlesex The station is run as a charity by volunteers (registered charity number 275620). Today Radio Wey has over 60 members, who work together, to present a range of live programmes each week. They also carry out all the roles necessary to run the station, such as administration, maintenance of the equipment, and raising the funds. As Radio Wey has no income or grant aid, it needs to raise all money it needs to run the station. This comes from member's subscriptions, donations and fundraising activities

Ottershaw is a village in the Borough of Runnymede in Surrey, England, approximately 32 km (20 mi) southwest of central London. The village developed in the mid-19th century from a number of separate hamlets and became a parish in its own right in 1871.The nearest town is Addlestone, approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) to the east. Hardwick Court Farm, Hardwick Court when a manor, is a large farm with farmhouse in the west of Chertsey, Surrey, England and was first established during the Saxon period. A Saxon main road to Chertsey once ran through it but is now reduced to just a farm track.

Christ Church, Ottershaw is a Church of England church on Guildford Road in the village of Ottershaw in the Runnymede district of Surrey, England, about 20 miles south-west of London. Grade II listed, it was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott (1811–78).Sir Edward Colebrooke (1813–90), who came to live in Ottershaw in 1859, built a chapel on his estate in 1863 as a memorial to his deceased son and heir. Later this became the village church. The church, one of the few polychromatic brick churches designed by Scott, retains most of its original features. A tower, the gift of Edward Gibb, was added in 1885 and new parish rooms in the 1990s.The nave and chancel windows, designed by Charles Eamer Kempe (1837–1907), contain several examples of Kempe's signature, a tiny wheatsheaf. They were installed in 1901, replacing the original plain glass. Kempe also designed the altarpiece. Installed in 1901, it was made by the Sussex-based firm Norman and Burt and incorporates wooden figures carved in Oberammergau, in Bavaria, Germany. Two Commonwealth servicemen of World War II – Leading Aircraftman George Barnett of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve (who died on 17 October 1943) and Corporal Alexander Cook of the Worcestershire Regiment (who died on 21 September 1947) – are buried in the churchyard.

In the early 13th century, the area was known as la Linde meaning the lime tree.The nearest town is Chertsey, approximately 1.6 miles (2.6 km) to the east. The M25 motorway is accessible via junction 11 and runs immediately to the east of the village.

Salesian School is a split-site Roman Catholic comprehensive secondary school in Chertsey, Surrey. The two sites were originally a pair of single-sex education Roman Catholic private schools maintained by the Salesian Fathers and Sisters. The Salesian College at Highfield Road (previously Salesian Sixth Form), founded in 1919, was for boys and the later Guildford Road school was for girls. In 1971 they merged to form one comprehensive school but still maintained single-sex education on separate sites. In 1981 it became a coeducational school with pupils located on sites according to their age or subject taught. As of 2009, however, years 7 to 11 (aged 11–16 years) began to exclusively study at the larger Guildford Road, while the college (ages 16–18) remains at Highfield Road – the students currently following a two-week timetable.

The Chertsey branch line connects Virginia Water station on the Waterloo to Reading main line to Weybridge station on the Waterloo to Woking main line. It is located in Surrey, England. Chertsey is an ancient market town and was first connected by a branch line from Weybridge in 1848. The line was continued to Virginia Water in 1866. Additional spurs were provided at each end of the line, forming triangular junctions. The southern junction to Byfleet proved useful for through trains from Windsor towards Woking and Portsmouth. The line was electrified in 1937. At present (2023) the line is predominantly used for residential and shopping journeys, with a 30 minute train service frequency to London.

Queenwood Golf Club is a golf club near Ottershaw in Surrey, England. The club is only open to members and their guests.The club was developed by the American entrepreneur Frederick D. Green. The American businessman Walter Forbes was also involved in the creation of the club. Green had previously developed the Eagle Springs and Nantucket golf clubs in the United States. It was designed by David McLay Kidd and opened in 2001. On his website McLay Kidd stated that he aimed for Queenwood to be a departure from that "modern style" that had led to recent expensive club closures and a "return to the heathland traditions" of the courses at the famed nearby clubs of Sunningdale Golf Club, Walton Heath Golf Club, Woking Golf Club, and Swinley Forest Golf Club. McLay Kidd employed the extensive use of heather as a design element "both for its strategic and aesthetic values, most notably on the bunker faces. It took a good five years to grow in to the fullest, and now that it has, everyone seems to understand why I insisted on using the heather so extensively".A 2017 article in GQ Magazine stated that the joining fee for Queenwood was believed to be £150,000 upon its 2005 opening, but is now estimated to be in excess of £200,000 and confirmed by member Mr James Wynne. Golf Monthly magazine listed the club as one of the '10 Most Exclusive Golf Clubs In the UK', writing that "When it comes to exclusive golf clubs, Queenwood is one of the world's leaders. Little is known about the super-private Surrey club which has a phenomenal golf course always kept in pristine condition".

Foxhills is a golf club and resort located in Ottershaw, Surrey, United Kingdom. It was established in 1975 and named for Charles James Fox on whose former estate it's located.

Ottershaw School was founded in 1948 as an English school for boys in Ottershaw Park, Ottershaw, approximately 30 miles (48 km) southwest of London between Chertsey and Woking, Surrey, south of England, on an estate that dated back to 1761, when the first house was built there.
