Roslindale Substation

A World War I Memorial by Albert Henry Atkins is installed in Adams Square, in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. The 1922 stone memorial is approximately 8 x 12 x 1 ft. and features a relief of a standing female in classical attire. An inscription on the front reads: 1917-1918 / ROSLINDALE HONORS ITS VICTORIOUS SONS AND DAUGHTERS IN WORLD WAR I IN THE GLORY OF THEIR YOUTH WE SHALL REMEMBER THEM / ROSLINDALE HONORS THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO SERVED IN KOREA AND VIETNAM. The artwork was surveyed as part of the Smithsonian Institution's "Save Outdoor Sculpture!" program in 1997.

Roslindale Congregational Church is a historic Congregational church at 25 Cummins Highway, at the corner of Summer Avenue in the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The Shingle-Romanesque style church was designed by James Murray (believed to be a member of the congregation) and built 1893-96 for a congregation established in 1890 by Rev. William Grover. It has a monumental scale typical of Richardsonian works, and a tower topped by a pyramidal roof and corner turrets.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Roslindale Baptist Church is an historic Baptist church at 52 Cummins Highway in the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The church was designed by Thomas Silloway in a Stick-Eastlake style, and built in 1884. It is one of the best-preserved Stick style buildings in Roslindale, with decorative shingles and applied woodwork. The congregation was organized in 1875, and met in a meeting hall (no longer standing) prior to the construction of this building.The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

Roslindale is a primarily residential neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, bordered by Jamaica Plain, Hyde Park, West Roxbury and Mattapan. Roslindale's original Engine Company 45, was deactivated on April 10, 1981, due to budget cuts. Roslindale was once called the "garden suburb" of Boston. The portion of the Arnold Arboretum south of Bussey Street is located in Roslindale. Six miles south-southwest of downtown Boston, Roslindale was originally part of the town of Roxbury. In 1851, current day Jamaica Plain, Roslindale and West Roxbury seceded from Roxbury. The area voted in 1873 to be annexed to the City of Boston.

Roslindale Village station is an MBTA Commuter Rail station on the Needham Line, located in the Roslindale Square business district of the Roslindale neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts. The station has a single side platform serving the line's single track, with a mini-high platform for accessibility. Roslindale Square is an important bus transfer location; nine MBTA bus routes (14, 30, 34, 34E, 35, 36, 37, 40, 50, and 51) run on Washington Street between Forest Hills and Roslindale, then fan out to the south and west.

Mount Hope station was a railroad station on the Northeast Corridor in Roslindale, Boston, Massachusetts. The station consisted of two separate depots on opposite sides of the tracks. The brick outbound depot was located just north of the Blakemore Street bridge, while the wooden inbound depot was located south of the overpass.

The Hebrew Rehabilitation Center for the Aged is a nursing home in Boston.They facilitate medical research regarding aging, with results that have been published in the New England Journal of Medicine and covered by The New York Times. One of their departments is named the Center for Social Gerontological Research.Their research activities facilitated accreditation in 1971 by their state's Educational Facilities Authority of funding via the sale of bonds.

Parkway is a section of the West Roxbury and Roslindale neighborhoods of Boston, Massachusetts. Parkway takes its name from the parkways that pass through West Roxbury, specifically West Roxbury Parkway (constructed 1919 - 1929) and VFW Parkway (constructed 1930 - 1942). Much of the land that makes up Parkway was once owned by the Weld family, as evidenced by Weld Street that runs through the area. As illustrated on the Boston Redevelopment Authority neighborhood map of 1967, Parkway is roughly bounded by (clockwise, from north) Allandale Street, the Arnold Arboretum, South Street, Washington Street, Corinth Street, Belgrade Avenue, West Roxbury Parkway, Centre Street, Church Street, and the Brookline, Massachusetts line.

The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University is a botanical research institution and free public park, located in the Jamaica Plain and Roslindale neighborhoods of Boston, Massachusetts. Established in 1872, it is the oldest public arboretum in North America. The landscape was designed by Charles Sprague Sargent and Frederick Law Olmsted and is the second largest "link" in the Emerald Necklace. The Arnold Arboretum's collection of temperate trees, shrubs, and vines has an emphasis on the plants of the eastern United States and eastern Asia, where arboretum staff and colleagues are sourcing new material on plant collecting expeditions. The arboretum supports research in its landscape and in its Weld Hill Research Building.

Our Lady of the Annunciation Melkite Greek Catholic Cathedral in the West Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, is a modern cathedral inspired by Byzantine architecture. It is the principal church of the Melkite Greek Catholic Eparchy of Newton, which encompasses the entire United States, the seat of its hierarch, currently Bishop Francois Beyrouti, and the parish church of the Melkite Greek Catholic community in Greater Boston. Its present structure and its status as a cathedral date to 1966; previous to that, Our Lady of the Annunciation Melkite Catholic Church was a parish church in the South End of Boston.

Melkite Greek Catholic Eparchy of Newton (Latin: Eparchia Neotoniensis Graecorum Melkitarum) is a Melkite Greek Catholic Church ecclesiastical territory of the Catholic Church. The eparchy is named for Newton, Massachusetts, and encompasses the entire United States. There are, however, currently about fifty Melkite parishes, missions, and "outreaches," in about two dozen states.
