The Westcott Theater

Westcott is a neighborhood in Syracuse, New York, United States. Its proximity to Syracuse University makes for a diverse community, home to Syracuse University students, professors and other faculty and staff, as well as residents at all income levels. Westcott Street is the main retail street of the neighborhood, featuring numerous restaurants, coffee shops, stores and The Westcott Theater performing arts venue. It is the site of the annual Westcott Street Cultural Fair, a one-day celebration of the diversity and uniqueness of the neighborhood with food, art, live performances and cultural activities. Westcott is also home to Thornden Park, one of the largest parks in Syracuse. The Westcott neighborhood is the boyhood home of renowned banjoist Tony Trischka.

The Blanchard House, also known as the Blanchard Residence, is a Ward Wellington Ward-designed home built in 1914 in Syracuse, New York, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. An arbor in the back yard and a garage at the rear of the property were both also designed by Ward.

Near Eastside is one of the 26 officially recognized neighborhoods of Syracuse, New York. It borders seven other Syracuse neighborhoods, with Downtown Syracuse to the west, Near Northeast, Lincoln Park, Syracuse, and Eastwood to the north, Salt Springs to the east, and University Hill and Westcott to the south. The Gustav Stickley House, Collins House, and Kelly House are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Babcock-Shattuck House (also known as the Jewish War Veterans Post) is a prominent house at the corner of East Genesee and Westcott Streets in Syracuse, New York.

The Gustav Stickley House is a three-story wood frame Queen Anne style house in Syracuse, New York.

Collins House, also known as the Collins Residence, designed by Ward Wellington Ward, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. It is adjacent to the Kelly House, also designed by Ward. The house exhibits decorative details such as stained glass in windows, as appears in other Ward houses.

Kelly House or Kelly Residence is located at 2205 East Genesee Street in Syracuse, New York. It was built in 1923. Along with other Ward Wellington Ward-designed homes such as the adjacent Collins House, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.The house features a Mercer tile fireplace with tiles depicting 12 trades, and built-in bookcases.The house fronts on East Genesee Street, but is on an L-shaped lot which provides access to Allen Street as well. The Collins House is at the corner of the two streets.

The Sanderson House, also known as Sanderson Residence, was built in 1916. Along with other Ward Wellington Ward-designed homes, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.It was built in 1916 for Amon F. Sanderson, an officer of the Scottholm Company which developed the Scottholm Tract in 1911. Sanderson also commissioned Sanderson House at 301 Scottholm Boulevard.It was listed for its architecture. The house exemplifies Ward's Arts and Crafts style and also Prairie Style. It is one of five nearly identical homes in Syracuse designed by Ward. The others are at 464 Allen Street, 100 Berkeley Drive, 1917 West Colvin Street, and 116 Rugby Road. It is located in the Scottholm Tract Historic District.

Thornden Park is a 76-acre (31 ha) park in Syracuse, New York, United States, which is the second largest in the city after Burnet Park. It was purchased by the city in 1921 and has become a favorite wedding location in the Syracuse park system. It is located in Westcott, and borders the University and University Hill neighborhoods. The park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994 as part of the Historic Designated Landscapes of Syracuse, New York.

The Welsh House, also known as Welsh Residence in Syracuse, New York was built in 1912. It was listed, along with other Ward Wellington Ward-designed homes, on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

The Louis and Celia Skoler Residence, at 213 Scottholm Terrace in Syracuse, New York, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 12, 2010. The property was listed by the Common Council of the City of Syracuse as a Syracuse protected site on November 7, 2005.Louis Skoler (died 2008) was an architect who held a Cornell University degree and was a professor emeritus of Syracuse University. The career of Louis Skoler is documented in a Syracuse University Archives collection.

Poehlman House, also known as Poehlman Residence, was designed by Ward Wellington Ward. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. It was listed for its Colonial Revival and Arts and Crafts architecture. An Arts and Crafts style detail is the use of moon influences in the decorative shutters on the house. It is located in the Scottholm Tract Historic District.
