The GREAT Campus is a science technology park located on the Erzelli hill in Genoa, in northwest Italy. The park is partly under ongoing construction and partly already working. At the moment, it hosts several high tech corporations such as Ericsson, Siemens, and Esaote, in addition to a robotics laboratory of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) and other companies. In 2026, the GREAT Campus will host the new Faculty of Engineering of the local Università di Genova.

Borzoli is a quartiere of the Italian city of Genoa, located west of the city centre.

Alitalia Flight 1553, operated by Minerva Airlines in Italy, was a regularly scheduled commercial passenger flight from Cagliari to Genoa. On 25 February 1999, the Dornier 328 serving the flight lost control and overran the runway while landing at Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Of the 31 occupants on board, three died, including the flight attendant; another passenger later died in hospital. The aircraft was damaged beyond repair.

RDS Stadium (formerly Mazda Palace and Vaillant Palace) is an indoor sporting arena located in Genoa, Italy. The capacity of the arena is 5,500 people. It hosts concerts and indoor sporting events.

The Giardino botanico Clelia Durazzo Grimaldi is a small botanical garden located on the grounds of the Villa Durazzo-Pallavicini in Pegli, a suburb of Genoa, Italy. It is a part of the romantic historical park made by Ignazio Pallavicini in 1846. The garden was established in 1794 by Clelia Durazzo Grimaldi, and donated to the city in 1928. Today is restored and it contains around twenty groups of plants laid on the ground by an educational disposition: Carnivorous plants Succulent plants Tropical plants and orchids Palms Ferns Camellias Roses Bamboo Aquatic plants Mediterranean plants Scented plants Useful plantsThe garden contains a lot of species, some of these rare or unusual.

Pegli is a neighbourhood in the west of Genoa, Italy. With a mild climate and a sea promenade, Pegli is mainly a residential area with four public parks and several villas and mansions. It is also known as a tourist resort with some hotels, camping and bathing establishments. Many restaurants and shops characterize the town, which is connected to central Genoa by railway, water bus and bus.

On 14 August 2018, around 11:36 local time (09:36 UTC) a section of the Ponte Morandi (English: Morandi Bridge) in Genoa, Liguria, Italy collapsed during a rainstorm, killing forty-three people. The remains were demolished in June 2019. The replacement bridge, the Genoa-Saint George Bridge was inaugurated a year later.

Ponte Morandi (English: Morandi Bridge), officially Viadotto Polcevera (English: Polcevera Viaduct), was a road viaduct in Genoa, Liguria, Italy, constructed between 1963 and 1967 along the A10 motorway over the Polcevera River, from which it derived its official name. It connected Genoa's Sampierdarena and Cornigliano districts across the Polcevera Valley. The bridge was widely called "Ponte Morandi" after its structural designer, engineer Riccardo Morandi.On 14 August 2018, a 210-metre (690 ft) section of the viaduct collapsed during a rainstorm, killing forty-three people. The collapse led to a year-long state of emergency in the Liguria region, extensive analysis of the structural failure, and widely varying assignment of responsibility. The remains of the original bridge were demolished in June 2019. The replacement bridge, the Genoa-Saint George Bridge was inaugurated a year later.

The Genoa Saint George Bridge (Italian: Viadotto Genova-San Giorgio) is a motorway viaduct that crosses the Polcevera river and the districts of Sampierdarena and Cornigliano, in the city of Genoa. It was designed by architect Renzo Piano. The bridge replaces the Ponte Morandi (Polcevera Viaduct), which partially collapsed on 14 August 2018 and was demolished in June 2019. The new viaduct, with its associated junctions, constitutes the initial section of the Italian A10 motorway, managed by the concessionaire Autostrade per l'Italia, which in turn is included in the European route E80. The new bridge was inaugurated on 3 August 2020.

Genova Sampierdarena railway station (Italian: Stazione di Genova Sampierdarena) is located in Piazza Montano, in the Sampierdarena district of Genoa, Italy. It is Genoa's third most important railway station, after Genova Piazza Principe and Genova Brignole. The station is owned by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI), a subsidiary of the Ferrovie dello Stato (FS) group. The commercial area of the station building is managed by Centostazioni. RFI internally classifies the facility in its gold category.About 7,000,000 passengers use the station each year.

Val Polcevera is one of the main valleys crossing Genoa, taking its name from the eponymous river. It is one of two valleys bordering the historic core of the city, along with Val Bisagno.
